Some people look for the most ridiculous reasons to base their hatred... have you seen that? Now Sam didn't create his products because he didn't 'develop the recipe', he just paid for it. Oh, for God's sake 🙄 https://www.tumblr.com/maximumwobblerbanditdonut/744755136698646528/excuse-me-are-you-the-creator-of-your-drinks-the?source=share
Dear Ridiculous Hatred Anon,
That particular blogger, whom I have long suspected (without being able or really caring to substantiate) to be one of the Mordor Sopranos' clone outlet, is particularly hateful towards S.
Like a dog with a bone, that page will obsessively focus on the tiniest details and feel compelled to have an opinion on just about anything you could think of, from hair transplants, to whisky blending, to sweating, to acting, to ghostwriting. Now, that is a mouthful and goes to prove Google research skills do not an intelligent person make. Not as long as you still generously place your commas between subject and verb, in your excruciating phrases.
If this blogger wants to show equanimity and fair play, I suggest to own her reasoning and bravely shout out her dissatisfaction to people like the Rothschilds, who simply bought the mythical Pauillac red wine Château Brane-Mouton and renamed it Château Mouton Rothschild. In 1853. Bottled and sold directly from the property since 1920, just because the Earth continues to turn around the Sun without all the naysayers.
It is one of the greatest red Bordeaux wines on this planet, indeed. But the Rothschilds had no part to play in that mysterious alchemy between soil, sun and water. And the names of its curators, called maîtres de chai, who meticulously take care of the whole process, while known, are never widely publicized.
I suggest you ignore that parochial fuckwit who thinks she is a sophisticated person just because she has access to a keyboard and the Internet. Things are not different when it comes to spirits and S did nothing wrong, this time.
And before she screeches back, let's have a look at this 1996 (an exceptional year, by the way) grand cru classé Mouton Rothschild AOC bottle, bearing the name and signature of the baroness Philippine de Rothschild:
Tumblr media
PS: I know a thing or two about wine not only because I lived in France for a good while. I know a thing or two about wine because that was my grandfather's all-consuming passion, by family tradition (they hailed from the Pays Basque, a long and complicated story). An almost teetotaler who produced his own. Go figure.

Rebel Scout Rangers capture the Philippine Army Battle Staff
The Philippine December Coup of 1989
History with Ponies
First | Previous | Next (Soon)
On November 30, 1989, Philippine Army Intelligence knew that a coup would occur the next day at around 2:00 a.m. Due to the Scout Ranger attack on Tagaytay, the HHSG (Headquarters and Headquarters and Service Group) made sure to monitor the Scout Ranger companies based at Fort Bonifacio.
Fort Bonifacio was one of the main military installations in the NCR (National Capital Region) and contained facilities for both the army and marines. Within its grounds were the HPA (Headquarters - Philippine Army) and AOC (Army Operations Center), both of which were vital for the command and control of the army.
Due to the possibility of a coup starting in the next few hours, the Commanding General of the Philippine Army called for conference that involved the General Staff, Battle Staff, and various unit commanders within Fort Bonifacio. The conference was to occur at the AOC at midnight
However, at around 9:00 p.m., the Scout Ranger companies based inside Fort Bonifacio, who were reinforced by other Scout Ranger companies who had abandoned their original posts and snuck into the fort, began moving. Following the operation planned out by RAM officers, they were to seize the fort as part of the first stage of the coup. The Scout Rangers, one of the elite fighting forces in the armed forces, was about to paralyze the army's head.
The Scout Rangers first took control of the various gates of the fort, making sure that no one got in or out without their permission. With that done they then began seizing the various facilities in the fort. By 10:00 the Scout Rangers had taken over the HPA. Outnumbered and outgunned, the headquarters staff gave no resistance.
One by one, various facilities within the fort were captured by the Scout Rangers, who also began setting up check points within the fort. At around the same time, the 4th Marine Battalion Landing Team, also based at the fort, were mobilizing. They had just been ordered by Philippine Marines' Commandant to move to Camp Aguinaldo and reinforce the defenders their in case the coup materalizes. However, instead of following their orders, the officers and marines of the 4th Marine Battalion were doing something no one had expected. The marines were seen putting on rebel countersigns and painting "RAM-SFP" on their armored vehicles. They were siding with the coup plotters and soon they would be moving out of the fort to seize Villamor Air Base and the PTV-4 new station.
Meanwhile, at around midnight, the army's commanding general, along with the Battle Staff, General Staff, and various senior officers, were at the AOC for the scheaduled conference. However, warned by an officer about what was occuring in the fort, the commanding general managed to escape the AOC moments before the first rebel troops arrived there at 12:40 a.m. of December 1st.
This left the rest of the officers in the AOC, with the SIP (Special Intervention Platoon) the only unit to protect them. However, instead of defending the building, the SIP simply allowed the Scout Rangers to walk in. Moments later the troops of the SIP were seen wearing rebel countersigns.
By 2:00 a.m. the fort was in full control of the Rebel Scout Rangers.
----------------------------------------
Okay, so this is part two of my History with Ponies thing.
So, as we can see here, we have, on the right, rebel Scout Rangers portrayed by @cadenceconfessions and Sparks (@thedumbguywithaheart43 ). On the other left we have officers of the army;s Battle Staff, portrayed by @ask-primrose-petals and @asktowserthepony . Like before, the rebel Scout Rangers are wearing olive drab fatigues, with black beanie caps. You can also see Cadence levitating an M-60 machine gun, which rebel forces would have taken from the Scout Ranger's Regimental Troop School within Fort Bonifacio. Cadence also has a white scrunchie, which is the day 1 countersign for rebel forces.
Meanwhile, the Battle Staff have black caps on them and are unarmed, since they were mainly tasked with operational planning and not frontline combat. Although some of the officers would have been armed with their sidearms. However, generally speaking, they were clearly outgunned and had no choice but to eventually surrender.

PHL VS VIE Volleyball Women's Opener (SEA Games, 2019)
Tumblr media
A FIGHT TO REMEMBER
An all-out game by Team Philippines and Team Vietnam in conquest of taking the ultimate win. These battling giants never go easy, and goes eye to eye for a chance to grasp the desired win.
Dimensions
The volleyball court that held such fierce competition has the dimensions of 18m long and 9m wide, being surrounded by 3m wide on all sides. It also has a space around the playing area, also known as the ‘free playing space’ which has 7m minimum height from the playing surface.
Equipment
Net
Net is one meter long and 9.5 to 10 meter wide. It is tied vertically above the center line of the court to posts fixed at either sides of the court, at a distance of one meter from the sidelines. The center of the net should lie 2.43 meter above the ground for men and 2.24 meter for women. At the sides the net may be higher by a maximum of 2cm, however it should be tied at the same height at both the posts.
Ball
Volley ball a spherical ball of 65-67 cm circumference. It is made of leather or any synthetic material and weighs 260-280 g.
Volleyball Accessories
These include ankle braces, knee pads, and ball carts that will help player’s abilities improve throughout time and practice.
Volleyball Arm Sleeves
These are used in volleyball for both comfort and protection of the players. They can help such by protecting the arms from floor burns or used as a compression sleeve for improved blood flow.
Basic Skills
Passing, setting, spiking, blocking, digging, and serving
Passing
It allows great positioning for different players to attack and find a loose spot on the enemy, also being considered as the most important skill in volleyball.
Serving
Used in game to score ace points or start the game, depending on the situation.
Blocking
Allows defense in their side of the court for them to negate or counter the attack.
Game Rules
6 players on a team, 3 on the front row and 3 on the back row
Maximum of three hits per side
Player may not hit the ball twice in succession (A block is not considered a hit)
Ball may be played off the net during a volley and on a serve
A ball hitting a boundary line is "in"
A ball is "out" if it hits..
an antennae,
the floor completely outside the court,
any of the net or cables outside the antennae,
the referee stand or pole,
the ceiling above a non-playable area
It is legal to contact the ball with any part of a players body
It is illegal to catch, hold, or throw the ball
If two or more players contact the ball at the same time, it is considered one play and either player involved may make the next contact (provided the next contact isn't the teams 4th hit)
A player can not block or attack a serve from on or inside the 10 foot line
After the serve, front line players may switch positions at the net
At higher competition, the officiating crew may be made up of two refs, line judges, scorer, and an assistant scorer
Volleyball Violations
The result of a violation is a point for the opponent.
When serving, stepping on or across the service line as a contact is made with the serve
Failure to serve the ball over the net successfully
Contacting the ball illegally (lifting, carrying, throwing, etc. )
Touching the net with any part of the body while the ball is in play. Exception: If the ball is driven into the net with such force that it causes the net to contact an opposing player, no foul will be called, and the ball shall continue to be in play.
When blocking a ball coming from the opponents court, contacting the ball when reaching over the net is a violation if both
your opponent hasn't used 3 contacts AND
they have a player there to make a play on the ball
When attacking a ball coming from the opponents court, contacting the ball when reaching over the net is a violation if the ball hasn't yet broken the vertical plane of the net.
Crossing the court centerline with any part of a player’s body. Exception: if it's the hand or foot, the entire hand or entire foot must cross for it to be a violation.
Serving out of order.
Back row player blocking (deflecting a ball coming from their opponent), when at the moment of contact the back row player is near the net and has part of his/her body above the top of the net (an illegal block).
Back row player attacking a ball inside the front zone ( the area inside the 10 foot line), when at the moment of contact the ball is completely above the net (an illegal attack).
Officiating Volleyball
Volleyball is generally officiated by two referees and two line judges.
First Referee
The first referee in volleyball is positioned on an elevated platform at the side of the net opposite the officials’ table. The first referee does not move around, but they need to stand for long periods, typically 45 minutes to two hours depending on the match’s length, all while maintaining high levels of focus and alertness.
Second Referee
The second referee stands on the floor opposite the first referee and assists in making calls, primarily focusing on play at the net. The second referee moves laterally along the sideline opposite the first referee in a 12-foot area and transitions during play with the ball.
Line Judges
The line judges stand on opposite corners throughout the entire match and assist the first referee with in and out calls and look for touches of the ball by blockers at the net. Line judges need excellent eye sight, good judgment and agility to move up and down the sideline to get the best view of the ball and avoid collisions with players.
Volleyball is a fast sport, in a contained area. Therefore, being able to visually follow the action and see small details is very important. Volleyball officials must always maintain alertness and focus during play so as not to miss a detail. Many calls in volleyball require swift judgement without hesitation, so a decisive nature and confidence are key attributes to have or develop. A volleyball official on average makes over 1,000 decisions in a match.
Analysis
An intense battle transpired as the Philippine and Vietnam volleyball teams clashed head on for an intense 5-round match. Full of ecstatic energy and pride, both teams gave all their hearts out to deliver such action-packed game. Having the set scores 21-25, 25-23, 25-19, 20-25, 15-8, the Philippine volleyball team eventually succumb to Vietnam team’s strength. But even though they suffered such fate, it is certain that they will rise from the ashes once more and dominate the world of volleyball.

Basic Skills
Basic Skills are present in both teams Philippines and Vietnam. They showed the basic skills such as:
Passing is often thought of as the most important skill in volleyball. If you can’t pass the serve, then you won’t ever put your team in a position to score a point.
Blocking is perhaps the least taught skill in volleyball. Players can get away with poor blocking skills because not blocking isn’t going to hurt the team as much as being poor at executing other skills in volleyball.
Setting is done to either dump the ball over into an undefended spot or to “set” the ball into a position that allows the hitter to spike it over.
Spiking is the act of scoring a point by slamming the ball over the net into the opposing court effectively and aggressively.
Digging is preventing the ball from hitting the floor after being spiked by the opposing team.
Serving is done by using one, open hand to swing overhead and send the ball over the net from behind the end line.

Officiating the Sports
- Referees
Before starting the game, there were two referees being introduced. First referee was named Leung Yin Yan and the second was Agung Purwanto. They were both responsible for officially recognizing team requests, substitutions, time-outs and communicating with the coaches at the appropriate times.
Tumblr media
( A screenshot of the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gm4kGC_d-i8)
- Scorekeeper
The scorekeeper creates official records of volleyball games. Before play begins, the scorekeeper records team and player information. Once the game begins, scorekeepers not only track points, but also player substitutions, sanctions and time-outs. The scorekeeper keeps an eye on the individual serving the ball to track the rotation and notify referees of potential lapses. At the close of the game, the scorekeeper records the final score of the game.
- Assistant Scorekeeper
The assistant scorekeeper or libero tracker is responsible for updating the scoreboard and keeping an eye on the libero. This individual records changes in the libero rotation, notifying referees when problems occur in the rotation.
- Line Judges
There are usually two line judges, one at either end of the court, usually in opposite corners. Line judges work with the referees, signaling to assist in making judgment calls. These officials often use flags to signal when a ball is in or out, hits the antennae of the net, or when the server commits a foot fault, or steps outside the line as they serve.
Technical and tactical skills
As the game started both teams had technical skills in order to have a systematic play to be an effective team in the game. They have both unique technical skills as the two opposing team showcased their strength and abilities. During the game, the Philippines was finishing strong at the first set through great communication through the athletes in the team and they also constructed opening opinion to beat the opposing team. On the other hand, the team also displayed correct-decision making skills to sustain the game until reaching the victory. The team were always open to being guided when one fails to do so. Both teams exhibit the ability to read the play or situation and in acquiring the knowledge needed to have a proper tactical decision.
Summarization
The game was started with the big six of the two teams in the Philippines containing: Jovelyn Gonzaga, Mary Joy Baron, Frances Molina, Alyssa Valdez, Abigail Maran, and Rhea Dimaculangan. While the team Vietnam was containing: Thi Kim Dang, Thi Nga Bui. Thi Xuan Nguyen, Thi Thanh Tran, Thi Trinh Nguyen, and Thu Hoai Nguyen. The game was started with the possession of the Philippines having the first serve by Dimaculangan. The game heated up when the Philippines got the first point on the first round and another one through the spike that was unable to be block by the Vietnam. The Philippines won the first set with a 25-21, but the Vietnam didn’t give up as they got the 2nd and third set with the score 23-25 I the 2nd set and 19-25 in the 3rd set which leads the downfall of Filipinos as the Vietnam got the last set scoring 8-15. Vietnam got the victory and it ended up showing true sportsmanship and sharing the passion of their true love of the game between Philippines and Vietnam.

SEA Games 2019: PHL VS VIE Volleyball Women's Opener (Full) | Volleyball
Court Dimensions
Indoor volleyball
The playing court is 18m long and 9m wide and is surrounded by a free zone 3m wide on all sides.
The space above the playing area is known as the free playing space and is a minimum of 7m high from the playing surface.
For FIVB, world and official competitions, the free zone measures a minimum of 5m from the side lines and 8m from the ends lines. The free playing space is a minimum of 7m high from the playing surface.
Playing surface
The playing surface is flat and a light colour. For FIVB, world and official competitions, only a wooden or synthetic surface is allowed.
White colours are required for the lines. Other different colours are required for the playing court and free zone.
Line markings
All lines on the court are 5cm wide and are a light colour different from the colour of the floor.
The boundary lines are the two side lines and end lines. The centre line divides the playing court into two equal courts, 9m x 9m each. This line extends from beneath the net from sideline to sideline.
On each court the rear edge of the attack line is drawn 3m back from the middle of the centre line and marks the front zone.
Zones and areas
The front zone on each court is limited by the axis of the centre line and the rear edge of the attack line. The front zone extends beyond the side lines to the end of the free zone.
The service zone is a 9m wide area behind each end line and extends to the end of the free zone. It is 15cm long and drawn 20cm behind the end line as an extension of the side lines.
The substitution zone extends from both attack lines to the scorer’s table.
The Libero Replacement zone is part of the free zone on the same side as the team benches, extending from the attack line up to the end line.
A penalty area, 1m x 1m, is located in the control area outside of the endlines.
Nets and posts
The net is 2.43m high for men and 2.24m high for women. It is placed vertically over the centre line. It is 1m wide and 9.5m‑10m long and is 10cm square black mesh.
The height of the net is measured from the centre of the playing court.
The antenna is a flexible rod, 1.8m long and 10mm in diameter and made of fibreglass or similar material. It is fastened on opposite sides of the net. The top of the antenna extends 80cm above the net and is marked with 10cm stripes of contrasting colour, usually red and white.
The 2.55m high posts are placed 0.50m‑1.0m outside the side lines. The posts are rounded and fixed to the ground without wires.
Equipment
Runners/Court Shoes:
Any indoor athletic shoe is adequate for the beginner volleyball player, however, the use of runners versus court shoes can lead to more ankle sprains due to the higher heel height (made for shock absorption) in the runner
Socks:
Due to the repetitive motions required on the volleyball court, blisters are common, but you can avoid blisters by both choosing the correct shoes as well as the correct socks.
Knee Pads:
Knee pads are commonly worn by indoor volleyball players to protect the knee from the impact of the floor when diving for a ball or going down onto one knee when passing a ball.
Ankle Braces:
Ankle sprains occur often in volleyball due to the frequent action near the net with many players in a small space at one time
Hydration Gear:
Keeping hydrated will help you stay alert while playing volleyball. It may also help to prevent muscle cramps and will help your post game recovery.
Basic Skills
The six basic volleyball skills are passing, setting, spiking, blocking, digging, and serving.
Passing is often thought of as the most important skill in volleyball. If you can't pass the serve, then you won't ever put your team in a position to score a point.
The importance of serving is often undervalued. Many coaches don't teach players to serve aggressive and use this opportunity to give the team an advantage for scoring points.
Blocking is perhaps the least taught skill in volleyball. Players can get away with poor blocking skills because not blocking isn't going to hurt the team as much as being poor at executing other skills in volleyball.
Digging is another skill that isn't focused on quite as much as most skills in volleyball.
Rules of the Game
Basic Volleyball Rules

It is illegal to catch, hold or throw the ball.
A player cannot block or attack a serve from on or inside the 10-foot line.
After the serve, front-line players may switch positions at the net.
Matches are made up of sets; the number depends on level of play. 3-set matches are 2 sets to 25 points and a third set to 15. Each set must be won by two points. The winner is the first team to win 2 sets. 5-set matches are 4 sets to 25 points and fifth set to 15. The team must win by 2 unless tournament rules dictate otherwise. Basic Volleyball Rule Violations
Rule violations that result in a point for the opponent
When serving, the player steps on or across the service line as while making contact with the ball.
Failure to serve the ball over the net successfully.
Ball-handling errors. Contacting the ball illegally (double touching, lifting, carrying, throwing, etc.)
Touching the net with any part of the body while the ball is in play.
When blocking a ball coming from the opponent’s court, it’s illegal to contact the ball when reaching over the net if both your opponent has not used 3 contacts AND they have a player there to make a play on the ball.
When attacking a ball coming from the opponent’s court, contacting the ball when reaching over the net is a violation if the ball has not yet broken the vertical plane of the net.
Crossing the court centerline with any part of your body is a violation. Exception: if it is the hand or foot. In this case, the entire hand or entire foot must cross for it to be a violation.
Serving out of rotation/order.
Back-row player blocking (deflecting a ball coming from the opponent) when, at the moment of contact, the back-row player is near the net and has part of his/her body above the top of the net. This is an illegal block.
Back-row player attacking a ball inside the front zone (the area inside the 3M/10-foot line) when, at the moment of contact, the ball is completely above the net. This is an illegal attack.

Technical and Tactical Skills, and Analysis
Bidding to end a 14-year medal drought, the Philippine women’s volleyball team starts its uphill SEA Games climb against dangerous Vietnam. The Philippine women’s volleyball team put up a good fight but Vietnam proved steadier in the deciding set to hack out a 21-25, 25-23, 25-19, 20-25, 15-8 decision in the 2019 Southeast Asian Games at the PhilSports Arena. Sill locked in a 6-all tie in the 5th set, the Filipinas got undone when the Vietnamese staged a game-sealing 7-1 run capped by back-to-back blocks on Alyssa Valdez to take a huge 13-7 lead. Valdez then ended the match as her crosscourt hit sailed out for the 15-8 finish The Filipinas, though, stunned the favored Vietnamese in the opening frame, 25-21, but the visitors came alive off the leadership of young star “T4” Thi Thanh Thuy Tran, escaping the 2nd set, 25-23, then taking the 3rd in convincing fashion, 25-19. The Philippines, however, then started off strong in its comeback attempt at the 4th, netting a 10-4 edge off the lead by Jovelyn Gonzaga and Valdez.  Although Vietnam tied it up, 13-all, the Philippines eventually ran away in the 4th, 25-20.  Vietnam then cranked up the defense in the final frame, with 4 of their first 6 points coming off blocks. T4 stamped her dominance on the Filipinas with a triple-double of 27 points, 13 digs and 13 receptions as Valdez led the losing effort with 22 markers.

I updated, "We Didn't Start The Fire," by Billy Joel
The original covered forty years, and this one only gets thirty, but there is more than enough to fill it. The events begin in 1990, the year after his original was released, and leads up to 2019. All events are factual, unbiased, and objective.
There is far too much in the past thirty years to stick in this, but I think it effectively hits the high points in politics, culture, technology, environment, sports, and societal influence. And while many of the things are from the U.S., a great many others are from around the world.
