Visual novel Of the Red, the Light, and the Ayakashi Tsuzuri will launch for Switch and PC via Steam on February 29, 2024, publisher dramatic create and developer HaccaWorks* announced. It will support English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese language options.

About

What is Of the Red, the Light, and the Ayakashi. A PC game released in 2011, the second released by the dojin group HaccaWorks*. It has been adapted into a comic book (10 volumes total), a novel, drama CD, as well as other media. In 2014 it was re-released on the PSP gaming system with a major revision of the main scenario, and with full voices, a prequel, and a new ending. This new version of the game has all the content of the PSP version, but is now even easier to play, available on the Nintendo Switch and on Steam!

Story

Yue is a young boy, born in a mountain shrine in the town of Utsuwa. One day, he attends the winter festival together with his childhood friend, a black fox named Kurogitsune. The lanterns burn bright red, and the people are buzzing. As Yue sees the outside world for the first time in his life, he meets two mysterious boys. Upon returning to the mountain, the owner of the shrine, Mikoto, told him.

Characters

Yue (voiced by Shinosuke Tachibana) – Likes to take things at his own pace. He enjoys being lazy, but also has a curious side to him. He descends from the mountain for the first time on the day of the winter festival…

-Branch Characters

Kurogitsune (voiced by Kei Shindo) – A black fox that has been together with Yue since he was a child. He is a good friend, and a self-proclaimed big brother to Yue. Strong-willed and straightforward, he is an open book to those around him.

Togo Tsubaki (voiced by Daichu Muzishima) – A second-year student at Utsuwa High School. He lives together with his father and little sister. He has a rather mature personality for his age, and is a caring eldest son. Both he and Yue seem to remember something about each other…

Akiyoshi Tochika (voiced by Takahiro Sakurai) – A second-year student at Utsuwa High School, he is the son of the heir of a large land-owning family. Due to his severe allergies he is always carrying a box of tissues under his arm. He has a straightforward personality, for better or for worse. After having met Yue at the festival, he is trying to uncover his true identity.

Sagano (voiced by Kosuke Toriumi) – A mysterious man who appears at twilight. Even though he’s always smiling, there’s something not quite right about him. He acts as if he knows Yue.

-Sub Characters

Mr. Sato (voiced by Kenyu Horiuchi) – A Shinto priest at Utsuwa Shrine, and Mikoto’s right-hand man. To Yue he is a mentor and a father figure. He enjoys cleaning.

Mikoto (voiced by Miyuki Sawashiro) – She may look like a little girl, but she is actually the master of the mountain that rules over Utsuwa. She dotes on Yue as if he were her younger brother. She has a calm and natural disposition.

-Other Characters

Momiji (voiced by Akiki Yajima) – A doll-like specter that suddenly appears in town. He is always hungry, as eating is his pastime. Although he has a wealth of experience in meals and is a glutton who will eat anything, he eats in accordance with his own aesthetics, and is picky about his tastes. His dream is to make 100 friends.

Tomori (voiced by Junichi Suwabe) – A specter that serves Mikoto. Keeper of the mountain lights, he watches over them all night. In his free time he can be seen having a pleasant conversation with Yue and Kurogitsune. He is kind despite his frightening appearance. Kurogitsune in particular has taken a liking to him.

Saku (voiced by Yui Horie) – A schoolgirl-like specter. She does not get along well with the other specters of the shrine, instead patrolling the town together with Nagi. She has a cheerful and innocent personality, but as she hates to lose, she also has a belligerent side that loves to take on strong opponents. She is a little interested in Yue, as he looks like an opponent that she lost to once in the past.

Nagi (voiced by Saki Nakajima) – A schoolgirl-like specter. She does not get along well with the other specters of the shrine, instead patrolling the town together with Saki. Perhaps due to her calm and collected personality she often acts as the pacifist in contrast to Saki. She is well known for her long braids, which she sometimes braids herself, and sometimes Saki does it for her.

Ranchu (voiced by Kenichi Suzumura) – A specter that serves Mikoto. He is the caretaker for the residents at Utsuwa Shrine. Perhaps due to feeling comfortable around him due to their similar ages, and a bit of envy towards his positive attitude, he often treats Kurogitsune in a cold manner. However, despite his negative words, his actions are quite kind.

Mr. Abe+ (voiced by Akira Ishida) – A specter that serves Mikoto. They work at the talisman counter, where they make charms and fortunes. They’re always trying to get Yue to pull a fortune for some reason or another. Despite a suspicious-looking pair of hands emerging from his jacket, they insist that there’s no one else hiding inside.

Kagetsu (voiced by Takuya Eguchi) – A specter that serves Mikoto. He is a direct subordinate of Sato, and works together with Mashiro. He’s been together with Mashiro since birth, as the two are inseparable. He’s responsible for the “cleaning” of Utsuwa City, both literally and in another sense of the word. He has a rather blunt and condescending attitude.

Mashiro (voiced by Yuki Ono) – A specter that serves Mikoto. He is a direct subordinate of Sato, and works together with Kagetsu. He’s been together with Kagetsu since birth, as the two are inseparable. He’s responsible for the “cleaning” of Utsuwa City, both literally and in another sense of the word. He appears to be friendly and cheerful at first, but has an unexpected dry side to him.

Hina Tsubaki (voiced by Yukana) – Togo’s younger sister. She really loves her brother and is attached to him. She is a bright and innocent kindergartner, but sometimes she speaks and acts in a mature manner beyond her years. According to her brother, there is something called the “Hina Language.”

Goldfish+ (Suisen voiced by Marie Miyake, Gyokuro voiced by Juri Nagatsuma, and Kimun voiced by Natsumi Takamori) – Three goldfish specters that are always together. They get along well with Sato, and can also take human form. The Red Goldfish Suisen is the most energetic. The Black Goldfish Gyokuro is the calmest. The Yellow Goldfish Kimun is the most spoiled.

Sora Suzuki (voiced by Ryota Osaka) – A classmate of Togo and Akiyoshi. He enjoys taking notes in classes. He looks up to the cool Togo, and is obsessed with lending his notebooks to him.

Young Man A (voiced by Tatsuhisa Suzuki) – A boy that Yue meets in town. He seems to be connected to the disappearances happening in the town.

Yaichi Tsubaki (voiced by Toshiyuki Morikawa) – Togo’s father. He is an unsuccessful novelist that is working part-time. He is a caring father, but his sons don’t take him seriously. The family gets along well.

Akitoshi Tochika (voiced by Satoshi Tsuruoka) – Akiyoshi’s father. A major landowner who has supported Utsuwa City for a long time. He is the current head of the Tochika family.

Meet the New All-Star Cast for the Digimon Adventure: TV Anime With Trailer Previewing Greymon

Digimon Adventure:, the reboot of the original Digimon Adventure TV anime series, hits Japanese TV screens on April 5, and to whip fans into a Digi-craze, a new trailer was released on March 17 showcasing Greymon in their new animated glory alongside all the new cast information.

Much like Digimon Adventure Tri, the voice cast for the Digidestined have once again been changed, with Yuko Sanpei (Boruto in BORUTO: NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS) leading the team as Taichi, with Dragon Ball Super veterans Takeshi Kusao (Trunks) playing Joe, and Masako Nozawa (Goku) acting as the narrator, returning from Digimon Tamers, where she also narrated the series. On the other hand, the only replaced Digimon voice was Tailmon, with Mie Sonozaki taking over from Yuka Tokumitsu, who has played Tailmon in the entire franchise thus far, including Digimon Adventure LAST EVOLUTION Kizuna.

To celebrate the start of the TV anime series, a new site called Digimon Parade will open up on March 30 where you can post messages and your favorite characters and they’ll appear on the, very adorable, website.

The website for the new TV anime series released a synopsis on its website, which we translated below:

2020 AD.

Networks are now an integral part of human life. But humans are unaware that beyond the network an infinite world exists. The digital world. And the creatures called Digimon that live there...

A large-scale network failure occurs in the Tokyo metropolitan area. A flickering signal or garbled screens are prevalent. The news report that it’s cyber terrorism.

The main character is Taichi Yagami, a fifth-grader living in a tower apartment near Tokyo.

He was home alone to prepare for the weekend summer camp. His mother and sister, Hikari, were on their way to Shibuya but got stuck on an affected train with failed breaks. Taichi hurries to Shibuya to help his mother and sister, but the moment he heads to the platform at the station-

A mysterious phenomenon overtakes the “DigiDestined,” transporting Taichi to the digital world! The children meet their partner Digimon and embark on an unknown “adventure!”

Akiyoshi Hongo is credited with the original plan for the series, with Masato Mitsuka (Maho Girls Precure!) helming the series direction. The series will be composed by Atsuhiro Tomioka (Pokémon XY, Ace Attorney, scripts on Dragon Ball Super) with character designs by Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru (original character designer on Digimon Adventure and 02). Akihiro Asanuma (Digimon Frontier, The Kindaichi Case Files Returns) will be the animation director, while Ryoka Kinoshita (Ascendance of a Bookworm) and Toshiki Amada (Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!, Fire Force) will be handling the Art Direction and Art Setting. Toshihiko Sahashi (Reborn!, Mobile Suit Gundam Seed) will be conducting the music for the series. Fuji TV, Yomiuri Advertising Agency, and Toei Animation will be producing the series.

The new Digimon series, Digimon Adventure:, starts broadcasting in Japan from April 5. The last film in the old, unbooted universe, Digimon Adventure LAST EVOLUTION Kizuna, will be released in theaters in North American on March 25th. You can read our review of the film here.

「ええ、怖いですよ。でも現実を見つめなければ。去年の12月に #Metoo を表明してから、私の俳優としてのキャリアは台無しになりましたから」

石川優実さん（31）は、敢えてこのハッシュタグを使う日本の数少ない女性の一人だ。しかし、これは彼女一人だけの話ではない。何百人もの女優たちにかかわる話なのだと、優実さんは言う。

「私のマネージャーは2人の監督と1人のプロデューサーに、およそ十数回、私をあてがいました。役を得るために男と寝る。映画業界の暗黙の了解だと。とくにデビューしたての女優たちは。女性としてみな通る当然の道だと思っていました。#MeToo を通じて初めて、問題だと認識したのです」

優実さんは [ #MeToo により] まず解放感を感じたが、それも束の間のことだった。「みっともない女」「尻軽」「日本女性として恥に思え」などの批判や侮辱によって、それはすぐに辱めに変わった。

日本では、レイプはスティグマ化する。とりわけ、レイプの被害を受けたことを語る女性たちは激しく非難される。優実さんは、この破らざるタブーを破った。

「私たちの文化は、私たちの苦痛や、疑問、否定的な感情を内在化することを人びとに求めます」

大阪国際大学法学部准教授でフェミニストでもある谷口真由美さんはこう説明する。

日本では、路上や地下鉄、隣人同士の間で、性差別的な言動や侮辱的な表現が飛び交うことはない。人びとの交流は礼節を持って行われ、日常生活は快適そのものだ。

「公共の場では人々は”空気”を読み、軋轢を避けることを求められます。人びとは子どもの頃から、大声でものを言わないこと、”私は”と自己を主張して自身を尊大に見せないようにすることを学びます」

社会の調和を守り、自身が排除されないよう、無秩序を生み出す要因となるような主張をしない。そいう人を支持しないことが求められる。女子は共感的な姿勢を持つこと（同調）を期待され、若い女の子は「可愛いらしく」、ほほ笑みを絶やさず、男を裏切らない存在でであるべきとされる。

『 #MeToo 』は、その急進性により、この同調を求める家父長制のドクサ（臆見）を脅かすのだという。

折り込み広告やテレビのに映る舞台の上でも、こうしたステレオタイプが次々形となって表れる。完璧な母親や、超セクシーな肉体を持った若い女と言う風に。

「私たちは未だに、男性に支配された、男性のためのみに作られた社会に暮らしているのです」

谷口准教授はこうまとめる。

この世界第三位の経済大国は、世界で最も保守的で差別的な国に位置付けられる。女性議員と女性管理職の割合は一割に満たず、第一子を出産した後、母親たちの大部分は家庭に留まるために仕事を辞める。

『世界経済フォーラム』が昨年11月に発表したジェンダー平等性に関する最新の報告によると、日本の「ジェンダー・ギャップ指数」は144か国中114位だった。

「自分の国で身の危険を感じてしまう」

"I FEEL AT RISK IN MY OWN COUNTRY."

伊藤詩織さんは、日本の #MeToo ムーヴメントの火付け役となったとみられる人物だ。昨年出版された自著『 #BlackBox 』の中で、安倍晋三首相に近い人物から自身が受けたレイプ被害を告発した。

3年前、つまりこの事件の起こった時、警察は彼女に告発することを思いとどまらせようとした。加害者とされる男性は法廷で追及されることもなく、詩織さんは国外に住むことを余儀なくされた。

「自分の国なのに、身の危険を感じました。本を出版した後、昼夜問わず、悪意に満ちたメールが沢山送られて来ました、男性だけでなく、女性からもです。脅迫電話も沢山かかってきました。私に『死ね』と言う内容のものでした。とりあえず2か月半の間、友人の家に身を潜めました。そして女性の人権のために闘うNGO団体の代表の女性の方からロンドンに行くように勧められました。最悪なのは、私の妹が私のせいで未だ仕事が見つからないことです。家族との関わりは絶つしかありませんでした」

ツイッターで16,000人がフォローするベテラン飜訳者の勝見貴弘さん（45）は、幾世代にも渡る被害者たちの心の解放を目指し、彼女たちのメッセージを発信し続けている。

「詩織さんは、このミソジニスト社会が嫌悪するあらゆる要素を兼ね備えている人です。美しく聡明で、権力に近い者を批判することを厭わない勇敢さを持っている。彼女が受ける激しいバッシングは、日本の女性に声を上げることを躊躇させる効果を持ちます。日本のメディアでいうと、被害者に『声』を与えた雑誌など、『エルジャポン』くらいのものです（下記参照）」

「取り上げるテーマがセンシティブな内容を含むものであれば、メディアは自己規制をかけます」

巨大公共放送『NHK』の女性記者は匿名を条件にこう断言した。

「私は毎日、私の小さい胸のことをからかう上司のセクシストな冗談に笑って応えさせられています。こんな状態で、セクハラ（性的加害）について、真面目な問いかけが行われることがあると思いますか？まるで日本は例外かのように扱われているんですよ」

「自身の苦悩を表明することは利己的といわれるかもしれない。でも、私にとっては #MeToo が最後の砦だったんです」

フリーランスのジャーナリストである小川たまかさんは、あるインターネット・サイトの仕事で壁にぶつかった。サイト名は彼女の希望で伏せる。

「女性編集長たちでさえ問題を過小評価しています。否定的であるか、無関心であるかのどちらかです。他者の悪いところを直視したくないからと、黙って苦しむことを選ぶことがあまりにも多いのです」

この37歳の活動家はそれでも諦めない。学生の頃に性暴力の被害に遭った彼女は3年前、ブログで自身の体験をシェアすることで、勇敢にもタブーを打ち破った。

「電車に乗る思春期の人たちの大部分が性的虐待の被害（痴漢）に遭っていると思います（下記を参照）。それが私たちの日常です。私が初めて痴漢に遭ったのは10歳の時でした。高校生の時には少なくとも週に一度は痴漢に遭いました。なかには、私の性器に指を突っ込んだ男もいました」

たまかさんに「フランスの法律ではそれはレイプに該当する」と説明すると、彼女は大きく目を見開いた。

「本当に？」

彼女は話を続けた。

「痴漢については友だち同士では話をしましたが、大人たちを信用してよいのかわかりませんでした。私たちの母親は「気をつけなければダメよ！」と言うだけでしたから。私の両親は私の受けた被害を知りません。それは今でも見えない傷として残っています」

メディアにおいても、学校でも、家庭でも、性的虐待の被害者たちは沈黙を強いられる。

当局を信用する女性は稀である。日本は、盗難、レイプといった犯罪の割合の少なさから、世界で最も安全な国の一つとして紹介されるが、性暴力の被害者を通報する割合は4%以下である（フランスでは11%）。彼女たちの七割以上が親しい人にさえ何も話さない。

「自身の苦悩を表明することは利己的といわれるかもしれない。でも、私にとっては #MeToo が最後の砦だったんです」と話すのは、舞台女優の清水めいりさん。

「半年前、酔い潰れさせられた後、私はある舞台プロデューサーに２度に渡りレイプされました。警察はホテルの防犯カメラを確認しました。そこには私がプロデューサーと肩を組んで、よろめいて歩く姿が映っていました。警察は私が同意の上であったと結論づけ、被害届は受理されませんでした」

女性が男性と酒を飲みに行くことに同意したら、その女性が性的被害を受けたとしても責任は彼女にあり、彼女は自分の身を守る術を知らなければならない――日本には、こんな考えが根強く残っている。

110年前に作られた性暴力に関する法律もこれと同じ考えに依拠している。

「レイプを犯罪として証明するために、被害者は物理的外傷を証明しなければならないんですよ？」

弁護士の望月晶子さんはこう強調する。

「世間一般はいまだに、当然のように、被害者は夜どこからともなく現れた全く知らない人から襲われるものだと想像しているのです！」

晶子さんは東京に、レイプ被害者を全国規模で支援するNPO法人「レイプクライシスセンターTSUBOMI」を設立し、これまで1,500人ほどの被害者を支援してきた。

伊藤詩織さんの闘いにも敬意を表する。詩織さんのおかげもあって、昨年の7月に法律が改正されたからだ。改正された刑法では、レイプ [強制性交等罪] は懲役3年から5年に変更され、男性も性暴力の被害者として見做されるようになった。

だが彼女にとって、この闘いは初めから勝つ見込みのないものだ。レイプ犯の99%が不起訴となるからだ。

「私自身、依頼人たちには告訴することを勧めません。それ以上被害者たちにトラウマを与えたくないと思うからです。そう、加害者たちはお金で被害者たちの沈黙を買うのです。支払う能力のある加害者たちに対しては、平均で4万ユーロ（約500万円）の高額で示談を交渉します。このような状況では #MeToo が日本で理解されないのも無理もないのかもしれません」

より深刻なのは、性的同意の問題が法律でも学校でも言及されないことだという。

「社会はこの問題について議論の場をもったことがありませんし、高校で性教育を実施することも拒んでいます。それは一般に、『非行の扇動』とみなされるからかもしれません」

社会学者でジェンダー論の専門家である大阪大学教授の牟田和恵さんはこう嘆く。

結果、ポルノが性的な物事への入り口となっている。

「ワンクリックで視聴が可能なビデオの多くにおいて、地下鉄の中で少女たちが『いや！いや！』と叫びながら（それでも「イエス」と受け止める人もいるのでしょうけども）レイプされるストーリーが描かれています。アダルトビデオの中のレイプはまるでゲームのように描かれています。日本人が『同意』の意味するところを知らないのも無理はないと思いませんか？」

ひと握りのフェミニストたちが、牟田教授のように、シンポジウム等を通して #MeToo に関する議論を活発化させようとしている。

前出の大阪大准教授の谷口真由美さんは、課題の大きさをこう言い表す。

「これは構造的な問題です。どこから手を付ければいいのか。教育？政治？経済？メディア？司法？それとも家庭？」

同志社大学教授の岡野八代さんにとってさらに気がかりなのは、政治的な状況が沈黙と、他人を中傷する言説の正当化をさらに強めていることである。フェミニスト活動家の彼女はこう憤る。

「ソーシャルメディアを使って、匿名の人たちや、極端な保守派議員たちが私たちの活動の信用を失わせようとしています。バッシングは10年前と比べると、よりあからさまで、当たり前のものになっています。私たちはきっと、日本の社会と日本の全男性を敵に回しているのでしょうね！」

だが、伊藤詩織さんは希望を失わない。彼女はひそかに、根強い支持を受けている。

「多くの男性や女性が私的に感謝の意を表してくれました。彼らはそれを公に行うことを恐れていますが、確実に連帯してくれています。ただし、ひそかに。だから、続けなくてはならないのです！」

蔓延する痴漢

THE PLAGUE OF GROPERS

GROPERS（痴漢）または "TCHIKAN" の問題は1990年代になって公共機関でも配慮されるようになった。女性のために、鉄道各線にピンク色の車輌が用意されている。しかし、「所詮、男が潜在的な脅威であることに変わりはない」という考えが根強く残っている。

東京のクリニックで働く [臨床医で精神保健福祉士の] 斉藤章佳さんは、弁護士や家族の依頼で2年間に1,200人もの"TCHIKAN" を治療した経験を持つ。

「男性を敬い、女性を蔑視する男尊女卑の風潮は、いまも根強く残っています。痴漢は被害者たちをモノのように見ます。しかし、彼らは捕食者ではありません！これは、私が患者さんたちに一番初めに伝えることです。痴漢は根治することも、リハビリを通して更生させることもできます。しかし残念ながら、われわれは『助平な変質者から身を守る術を知らない被害者』というステレオタイプに逃げ込みがちです」

この臨床医によれば、典型的な患者像は、「サラリーマンで、既婚で、会社の上司たちに苛められている人」であるという。

「地下鉄の中は、彼らにとって家庭と職場の間で唯一、彼らの激しい支配欲を満たすことのできる空間なのです」

章佳さんによると、毎年10万人の日本人女性が痴漢の被害に遭っている。

ELLES (THEY) ARE MOBILIZING

『エルジャポン』は３月、安倍晋三首相に近い者にレイプされたと告発したジャーナリスト・伊藤詩織さんの肖像を描く記事を掲載した。彼女の戦いは多くの海外メディアで報道されたが、日本ではほとんど報じられなかった。

「私たちはリスクをとらなけばなりません。レイプや政治について話すことは大きなタブーです。読者の大部分はショックを受けた、それは確かです。しかし私たちは、この話に世界的な広がりを与えなければならないと思いました」

『エルジャポン』のディレクター、イヴ・ブゴン（Yves Bougon）は語る。

記事を書いたミエ・コヒヤマ（Mie Kohiyama）さんには、多くの賛同の声が寄せられた。

「記事はひじょうに沢山シェアされました。とくに女優のアーシア・アルジェント（Asia Argento）によって。多くの日本人が私にコンタクトをとって来きました。#MeToo ムーブメントは日本でもひそかに進行しているのです」

未成年者に対する性犯罪の公訴時効の廃止と心的外傷による記憶喪失 [解離性健忘=PTA] の問題について活動するミエさんは、性暴力について活動する国際団体の支援を受け、シンポジウムの企画を進めている。

フランスで「心的外傷性の記憶及び被害者学に関する協会」の会長を務めるミュリエル・サルモナ博士(Dr. Muriel Salmona)は今月初め、女性の弁護士や医師で構成された日本の代表団をパリで迎えた。

「積極的なやりとりや意見交換がなされました」

フランセーズのサルモナ博士は興奮気味に語る。

「彼女らは北海道にレイプ被害者を受け入れる先進的なセンターを開設した人たちで、情報と支援を求めていました。私たち日仏の両団体は、団体間で、あるコラボレーションを行おうと考えています」

The "super evolution" stage play will run for 10 performances at the Zepp Blue Theater Roppongi in Tokyo from August 5-13. All tickets cost 7,800 yen (about US$70). Tickets went on sale through lottery between May 20-28, and general sales tickets start on July 2.Polygon Magic is producing the play, and Akiyoshi Hongo is credited with the original work. Kenichi Tani (Pluto, Watashi wa Shingo) is directing the play and writing the script.

The play will tell a side story centered on the eight DigiDestined. The date of August 1 is a special one to Yamato, Taichi, and the other DigiDestined. While Taichi is busy with soccer practices, Hikari suggests that everyone should go camping together on August 1. Everyone eventually agrees to the idea, and the day of the camping trip comes. However, Mimi has accidentally forgotten the camping equipment, so the excursion gets off to a rough start. Everyone starts to think of ways to overcome the situation, when suddenly Taichi smiles and says "this is just like the time we first went to the Digital World!" The feelings of six years ago resurface, and the August 1 camping trip really gets started. However, that camping site has a secret.The Digimon Adventure tri. anime film series, which celebrates the 15th anniversary of Digimon Adventure (the first entry in the television anime series), will have a total of six films. The fifth film in the series, Digimon Adventure tri. Kyōsei (Union or Symbiosis), will open in Japan on September 30.

　個人によって創られた映像作品はストーリーが無いものもあり、一見すると内容が難解と思われがちですが、その可能性は無限であり、次々と新たなイメージが産み出されています。しかし残念ながら、そのジャンルを越えたバリエーションに触れる機会は、多いとは言えません。私たちは、確実に増殖する個人映像作品を上映し記録することで、個人映画公開の機会をさらに増やしていきたいと考えています。 VIDEO PARTYは京都を中心に、所属、立場、ジャンルを越えた、ドラマ、アニメーション、実験映像からドキュメンタリーまで内容も様々な、個人で作られた映像を発表する場として企画され、2013年より公募作品の上映活動をしています。

　また、2014年より海外映像祭や教育機関、上映団体等と連携し作品の交換上映も進めています。2016年は台湾、韓国、マカオ、中国、札幌での上映をし、VIDEO PARTYの参加作品を各地で紹介しています。　個人の眼差しによって紡がれる映像の行く末と更なる可能性を探る〈場〉へのご参加をお待ちしております。 2019年は7月27日(土)〜28日(日)８月3日(土)〜４日(日)の4日間、京都のLumen galleryにて開催します。

Announcement for VIDEO PARTY in KYOTO 2019 There are many video works created by various independent artists these days, many of which seem to have no storylines and contents hard to comprehend. But the potential of this media is limitless and there are many fresh imageries being created continuously. Unfortunately, we do not have enough occasions in which we can come in contact with borderless variations of the genre. It is for this reason we assemble this VIDEO PARTY, where we can screen and make records of these ever-growing works of independent artists, as well as to simply increase the opportunity for Indies video works to be seen. Based in Kyoto, the VIDEO PARTY has been organized for independent artists to exhibit their works, regardless of their nationality, affiliation, standpoint and genre - ranging from drama, animation, experimental and documentary - and has been screening publicly offered works, since 2013. For this year, the PARTY will be held in July (provisional), at the “Lumen Gallery”, a video-specialized gallery established in Kyoto. We have also started the work exchange program since 2014, in cooperation with several overseas film festivals, educational establishments and Indies film screening organizations. In 2016, we had successful screenings in Taiwan, South Korea and Macau and China, to introduce participating works of the VIDEO PARTY. We plan to expand the interaction and create more opportunities to screen in more locations this year. We anticipate your joining to this opportunity of witnessing the future and exploring the potentials of video works, woven by various independent artists. Publisher dramatic create and developer HaccaWorks* have announced otome* visual novel Of the Red, the Light, and the Ayakashi Tsuzuri for Switch and PC (Steam). It will launch in 2024 worldwide with English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese language options.

Sagano (voiced by Kosuke Toriumi) – A mysterious man who appears at twilight. Even though he’s always smiling, there’s something not quite right about him. He acts as if he knows Yue.

Mr. Sato (voiced by Kenyu Horiuchi) – A Shinto priest at Utsuwa Shrine, and Mikoto’s right-hand man. To Yue he is a mentor and a father figure. He enjoys cleaning.

Sora Suzuki (voiced by Ryota Osaka) – A classmate of Togo and Akiyoshi. He enjoys taking notes in classes. He looks up to the cool Togo, and is obsessed with lending his notebooks to him.

Young Man A (voiced by Tatsuhisa Suzuki) – A boy that Yue meets in town. He seems to be connected to the disappearances happening in the town.

Akitoshi Tochika (voiced by Satoshi Tsuruoka) – Akiyoshi’s father. A major landowner who has supported Utsuwa City for a long time. He is the current head of the Tochika family.
