When Doves Cry Part 1
“Me in an infinite universe…an insignificant planet, one of six billion inhabitants…big deal…honestly if I were to say, if I were to disappear, who’d care? What would it matter? A subatomic blip in the temporal fabric of creation.”

Degrassi - Tears are not enough partie 1 :
It’s done !
Last summer, I watched (again) some episodes of Degrassi. One more time, magic happened and the obsession came back. Probably because I'm addicted to the catharsis this series has on me, I was willing to do some work from it. Anything. Trying to draw fan-fiction or exclusive (and non-canon) scenes, something about the characters. The thing with Degrassi is how well-written the characters are. They-re far from the one-sided kind of characters we could have in some shows. And not only in the writing, but equally in the acting. Finally, I decided, in my spare time, to adapt one of my favorite episodes : "Tears are not enough". Not only is the story and the acting excellent, but for me, this episode has something personal. It was my open-door in the show. I remember, being 19, swapping channels at my brother's flat looking for anything to watch and falling on this show I never heard about before. Bad luck, it was the end of season 2 and I didn't know anything about what happened to these characters, and mostly between Craig and his father. So where a knowing-watcher would know about the gravity of this meeting, I was mostly trying to understand why this scene got this heavy atmosphere. Why the embarrassment, seeing Sean splitting on the floor, looking proud of it and thinking "Wow, what a rude guy" instead of noticing how good a friend he is. Definitely, it was something I really want to touch with my way to express : cartoons. Drawing this one minute scene really makes me take care of the playing, all these little mimics. Only by his face, you notice how heavy it is for Craig to meet again his father, how Ashley feels uncomfortable, how Sean looks ready to face Albert Manning, and how this last one really prepared his come-back and trying to manage his own anger issue and make some kind of low-profile. A lot of little details I tried to bring in my draw, even if I cannot advise more to just watch the scene again. Now that I finished drawing the scene, I'm wondering if I should continue, maybe explore this double-part episode until the last one, trying to explore all these scenes and these little hidden but visible secrets I still have to discover.

Okay, am I wrong or is it true that Maddie and Eddie have only ever interacted three times in the entire series, and all three of those times, she has basically had to scold him for some bullshit?
Because if that's true, I find it very funny.
