The cake did not turn out (literally), so I had to pivot to a kind of makeshift trifle. Which, whatever. It doesn't look pretty, but it should taste good.
About to make a 2-layer cake, and I am crossing my fingers the middle rises weird, so I can trim it and make myself little cake parfaits for later.
