As I read the case- I kept comparing the dynamic nature of advertising and selling beer in the US. Having grown up in India- the nature of ads from alcohol companies were very different. My reflection highlights some of the areas where regulatory frameworks lead to innovative marketing tactics such as surrogate advertising.
Finally- I could not help but wonder what the impact of the pandemic was on a brand like Corona (for obvious reasons). I remember listening to a podcast back in the day about the ultimate positive effect the pandemic had on beer consumption in the US, and my final point covers that.

Mt First Christmas with my Caregiver
So technically this isn't our first Christmas together. We've been friends for years so there have been many many holidays with one another. However this was one was the first one spent are a Caregiver/Little dynamic and it was quite the experience. There's a tradition in the household that on Christmas eve we were to open one present before Christmas. The people present were my CG, her roommate, her friend, her girlfriend, and her brother and his girlfriend.
The morning of Christmas Eve I was woken up by my CG telling me to change out of my morning diaper and my pj's. She had already decided my outfit would be my pink and white bigtots onesie along with my pink ODU diaper cover that she called my tutu. She's been dying to see me in it for ages but I was always to shy to wear them but this time was different since she was not asking. I went into the bathroom to shower and change into my chosen outfit for the day. Leaving the bathroom made me very blushy as my CG fawned over me calling me adorable then dragging me downstairs to her roommate to show me off. I used my stuffie to hide my embarrassment. My CG left me with her roommate since she had some shopping to do. I was downstairs with the roommate making bracelets for my Sibby with intense concentration stopping in between to be a brat. When my CG arrived she had her girlfriend with her taking in groceries as well as starbucks and a multitude of japanese juice boxes from the Asian food market to serve as mixers for the Soju (Japanese Beer for those of you who aren't yet enlightened to the delicious beverage). I greeted her gf, now being used to her seeing me little since our previous interactions. Gf started mixing the drinks for us while roommate was making dinner with CG. Alcohol has an interesting effect one me. The more I drink the more I regress in to a smaller headspace. My words were becoming more of babble talk tho I could still form words. Later on in the night My cg's friend arrived and eventually her brother and his gf. I was a bit shy about his gf seeing me so smol. She's seen me in little clothes occasionally but never this smol. Aside from that it was a lot of fun until later on in the night when fireworks went off which triggered me really bad. It did not help that I had alcohol in my system so my panic attacks were really bad. I was full blown crying, chocking on my tears. I held onto my cg's leg for comfort and her friend's and her GF were there to console me as well. With the turn of events it was decided I would be sent to bed early. I was walked upstairs by the GF and she tucked me in putting earphones in my ear while also having some anime play in the background. She laid there with my stroking my hair soothing me until finally I was able to fall asleep.
This brings us to Christmas day, everyone was up before me apparently. I had no idea what time it was but I was woken up by the GF to come downstairs and eat. I was steal half asleep if not fully asleep. I remember being walked downstairs, my eyes still shut. she sat me down at the table and I was brought coffee to help wake me up. Eventually I was able to fully come to after a few sips. After breakfast we all headed to the living room to open presents. We all had our names called as individually to open our presents. One by one everyone opened their gifts until eventually it was my turn and it would be an understatement to say I was happy, I was overjoyed. I was given a multitude of stuffies including a light furry and a toothless to add to my collection. I was also given a cute unicorn footie pajamas, some bath toys, story books, and a rattle toy which had to have been my favorite! All this to say it was definitively one of the most memorable Christmas celebrations to date.
