L'8 Dicembre del 1980 i #Queen facevano ufficialmente il loro ingresso nel mondo del #cinema con la #colonnasonora di #flashgordon, #film di #fantascienza ispirato alle imprese del personaggio creato nel 1934 da #alexraymond e antesignano di quei #cinecomic che oggi il grande schermo lo dominano incontrasti. La pellicola, complice la presenza in veste di produttore di Dino De Laurentiis, vantava un cast di tutto rispetto, tra cui le nostre #mariangelamelato e #ornellamuti, oltre a #maxvonsydow e il futuro #jamesbond #timothydalton. Il protagonista era invece interpretato da @samjjones, anche se prima di lui furono provinati anche #arnoldschwarzenegger e #kurtrussell. Sappiamo quanto Flash Gordon non sia stato quel capolavoro che si si sarebbe potuti aspettare, specie se paragonato con altri film usciti in quel periodo, basti pensare a #GuerreStellari e #BladeRunner. L'8 Dicembre del 1980 i #Queen facevano ufficialmente il loro ingresso nel mondo del #cinema pubblicando la colonna sonora del #film #FlashGordon, b-movie tratto dall'omonimo #fumetto di #fantascienza ideato nel 1934 da #alexraymond. Un progetto sicuramente molto sperimentale, pieno di sintetizzatori, richiami al film (con tanto di dialoghi incorporati nelle canzoni) e la voce di #freddiemercury chiamata a dare il proprio contribuito in pochissimi pezzi.
