Honestly I suspect that the whole thing with like, Wildbow's inadvertent adding of homoerotic subtext or whatnot is really just downstream of the fact that regardless of gender his protagonists always have their deepest, most emotionally meaningful connections with women. Literally the only exception to this rule is Evan from Pact and he's literally fucking eight years old so nobody is shipping that.
