We left off last chapter with Jack being all upset, so of course I had to bring in soft daddy Dean to make it all better, because… reasons!

Well hey!

So after I finished my Marvel story I figured I’d jump back into Supernatural. This story is one of my favourites I’ve ever written, so if you guys wanted to give it a chance that would be amazing!

Oh hey, we’re back!

I just finished writing the last chapter of this story, and to celebrate I thought I’d share this little update with you. We’re not quite done yet but we’re reaching the point where the author just keeps giving everyone good things because they deserve it and it makes her happy cry, so enjoy!

Also, I do have to say that I may or may not have made myself cry with the ending of this, so you have been warned!

Ok so this is exactly how I imagine Steve and his ending. In my head I cannot justify him going back for any other reason than trying desperately to find a sense of self again. My brain needed to tell this story, so I wrote one tapping into that side of his psyche, his relationship with Captain America and Steve Rogers and how they’re different while he returns the infinity stones. It’s the story I need to reconcile what he did with the Steve from earlier in the series.

So this is the Steve story that links canon with what I wish canon was. The Steve that makes sense to me:

Steve signing up for the Army to serve his country. Steve waking up to a world where his name is a symbol and not Steve. Steve being forced into a roll of commander and leader when he was really just a kid from Brooklyn. Just another soldier. Steve who didn’t want to leave Bucky alone but he really just wanted to find Steve again. Just like the Asset found who Bucky was and could be without Steve.
