Cosmology by Sri Aurobindo. A Universe with many worlds (a Multiverse) We see the world before our eyes, a world with its stars and galaxies and assume that this is the only world which exists. In reality, there also exist many occult worlds of varying gradations of consciousness which are invisible to our physical senses as well as our scientific instruments. A “world” in occult terminology is akin to an energy formation or a formation of consciousness, somewhat like a virtual world populated by beings of its own kind, where the laws of physics are more flexible and where the orders of Time and Space are unlike ours.
Our dreams are transcriptions of travels and interactions in these occult worlds. After death, we cast off our physical body and withdraw into these occult worlds where we reside until the next incarnation. A Yogi who gains occult insight is able to see this vast structure of the Universe. It is precisely this vision which has been described in Chapter 11 of the Bhagavad Gita.
Existence-Consciousness-Bliss (Sachchidananda)
These three worlds are one in essence and are hence called triune. They embody the principles of Sat(Existence), Chit (Consciousness) and Ananda (Bliss). They are also referred to as the Satyaloka, Tapoloka and Janaloka.
Supramental world Other names for the Supermind: Maharloka in the Vedas. Vijnana world in the Upanishads. rendered as Truth-Consciousness in English by Sri Aurobindo.
The Supermind is the Creator of the phenomenal universe, of the lower worlds of Mind, Life and Matter. It is the medium for self-manifestation of the Supreme or Absolute. It applies some fixed truths, some limiting principles to shape the lower worlds out of an Infinite Consciousness. It creates multiplicity out of unity, differentiation and separation out of pure being.
Three poises of the Supermind
The Supermind has three poises which together result in the creation of Maya (Illusion) in the lower worlds:
Comprehending consciousness(Vijnana) : It holds creation in Unity. This can also be described as the causal state (Karana Avastha)
Apprehending consciousness(Prajnana) : The process of differentiation begins in this poise; it brings about the One in Many and the Many in One. There is separation between Purusha and Prakriti, subject and object, self and not-self but all are still parts of the one. This may also be called the state of expression (Karya Avastha )
Projecting consciousness (Avidya) : Further modification of the second poise so as to support evolution of a diversified individuality. Multiplicity in creation is now fully expressed. This may be called the state of full manifestation (Purna Vyakta Avastha)

What is Ignorance?
In verse 13 of the Kaivalya Upanishad the terms of waking and dreaming are talked about:
VERSE 13. In a dream, the jiva becomes the experiencer of pleasure and pain in a subjective world projected by its own ignorance (avidya). When the dream is resolved into deep sleep, it experiences limitless bliss (ananda) caused by Maya.
This verse 13 is a metaphor. It is not actually about waking, dream, and deep sleep states. It is about experientially waking up from ignorance. Yet, waking up by knowledge does have experiential component. The loss of something is the gain of something else. But that is not the gain of something new.
“In a dream, the jiva becomes the experiencer of pleasure and pain in a subjective world projected by its own ignorance (avidya).”
When you are in the waking state you don’t know you are dreaming. You are caught up in various experiences which you think are coming from outside but you are projecting everything that happens yourself. If you knew you were projecting it, you wouldn’t get caught up in it. That is what we call ignorance or Maya. Ignorance is not stupidity; it is just not knowing something.
Ignorance is a symbol for samsara, chasing experiences. You may call it the rat race but you need a better word because it is only a state of mind that you can do something about without quitting your job and running off to India. There is always an available a solution for every problem—that is the Maya set up. You don’t have to wait for a solution. You just have to look around, investigate or inquire into the knower, the one who has a problem, and the problem disappears, because the problem is you.

Today's mix:
Global Underground 016: Cape Town by Dave Seaman 2000 Progressive House / Progressive Trance
Back on my Global Underground grind this week to check out this turn-of-the-millennium double-disc mix from the one and only Dave Seaman, the guy who, among other things, managed to transform UK publication Mixmag from a DJ newsletter into a biblical monthly electronic music magazine, while also becoming one of the world's most revered DJs. Simply put, you can credit a significant portion of electronic dance music's growth and spread to him.
But, just like with Seaman's Buenos Aires set, I think that I might have an unpopular opinion about this one too, which represents Global Underground's first ever dispatch from Africa. See, something that I seem to keep running into with these showcases of super popular DJs (which is a corny concept on its face, to be honest 🙄) is overall inconsistency. One disc will range from pretty great to excellent, and the other will be pretty lackluster, in comparison. But to me, Seaman's discs serve as exceptions; they are neither pretty great, nor are they lackluster; they're just steadily good. And most of the reviews I've read for both this Cape Town release and the Buenos Aires one don't happen to express that opinion; the majority of them seem to think that Buenos Aires is fantastic, and this one is a tick or two below it.
Now, while, overall, I think the darker disc 1 is the stronger affair here, this release's greatest moments still seem to come in the second disc, with a totally sublime three-song run on its back half, starting with short-lived trio Nerva's "Modo VII (Santo Nerva de Mercia Mix)," followed by back-to-back tracks from duo Way Out West, of which the great Nick Warren—who himself put out the most spellbinding GU disc I've ever heard: the second one from his Brazil installment—is a member. First, Way Out West deliver "The Fall," which, personally, hit me *really* hard, because it samples the vocals that were used in one of my most favorite ambient tunes of all time, Mixmaster Morris' pretty legendary remix of Coldcut's "Autumn Leaves;" and then Seaman follows that up with a terrific Way Out West remix of James Holden's "Horizons." I'm basically an enormous sucker for a trance tune that incorporates rich and classy piano stabs, and a song like that one serves as a prime example of it (Max Graham's "Bar None" is another one that immediately comes to mind too, by the way, although it's not on this mix 😌).
And there's some great songs on the first disc too, but none of them really beat Bill Hamel's "Quadrant Dub" remix of Inertia's "Vellum." That one makes for a pretty transcendent, densely-packed climber in its first half. Plus, the "Futureshock Instrumental" of Moby's "Porcelain" is really cool too, as the duo takes the original's iconic strings and chops off their ends in order to meld them with a chugging mid-90s-type of house drumbeat 😎.
So, not fully bowled over by either of these discs, but definitely not disappointed with them either. Not the best GU mix I've ever come across, but also definitely not the worst. Just a steady-Eddie stream of good dance tunes, pretty much the whole way through.
Listen to CD1 here. Listen to CD2 here.
Highlights:
CD1:
Rui Da Silva Presents The Four Elements - "Earth" Moby - "Porcelain (Futureshock Instrumental)" Ian Wilkie - "Guten Morgen" The Ananda Project - "Cascades of Colour (Saffron Mix)" Inertia - "Vellum (Hamel's Quadrant Dub)" Gloat - "Wuarp" Above - "New Day Dawning (Above's Dub)" Breeder - "Tyrantanic (Slacker's Kingdom Come Mix)"
CD2:
Nerva - "Modo VII (Santo Nerva de Mercia Mix)" Way Out West - "The Fall" James Holden - "Horizons (Way Out West Remix)"

BRIEF THREE- MOVEMENT
Painting- Week One
Artist research- Hima Af Klimt
Hilma af Klint was once known as a minor academic Swedish artist. Born in 1862, she had been one of the first women to graduate from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm and had exhibited at the Swedish General Art Association.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Thses paimtings are her early works from the academy, but her most recognized paintings are not in the traditional style of art that she was taught by traditional art teachers. Her most renowned paintings reveale another life, a different art. Her involvement with spiritualism had radicalised her art to such an extent, that she can only be described as one of the greatest abstract artists.
Tumblr media
As we can see, this is quite a shift in style. But what caused this shift? Well, her belief system became more vast, as it did many for many around that time. The scientific discoveries of the late 19th and early 20th century encouraged many to question the very nature of the universe.
In the 17th century, Isaac Newton discovered light was made of particles. In the early 19th century, Goethe’s Theory of Colours led many to see colour had spiritual and psychological powers. In the early 20th century, Max Planck demonstrated light particles had energy.
Many began to think that, if the universe was more than it seemed, then perhaps there were other lives living on different astral planes. Perhaps it was possible for some to be mediums, opening themselves to communicate with spirit guides to these worlds.
At the end of the 19th century a new religion, Theosophy, appeared, incorporating both ancient wisdom and modern science.
It is not surprising af Klint should become a follower. What is surprising is the power of the art unleashed as a consequence.
Tumblr media
Af Klint was also influenced by another religious movement called spiritualism, which became popular in Europe and the United States during the mid- to late nineteenth century. Spiritualists believed in the existence of unseen spirits that could communicate with the living.
Af Klint began participating in séances in 1879, at the age of seventeen. The death of her sister one year later increased her interest in the practice. By the mid-1890s, she met regularly with a group of four other women who called themselves The Five.
Tumblr media
The Five believed they could communicate with mystic beings named “High Masters.” In trance-like states, the women transcribed messages from these beings, who identified themselves as Amaliel, Ananda, Clemens, Esther, Georg, and Gregor. These automatic writings and drawings allowed af Klint to develop her own visual language and move away from her formal academic training and toward abstraction. She attributed her early revolutionary forays into abstraction to an external spirit and not her own conscious mind. The automatic techniques used by The Five were common among spiritualists during that time. Several decades later, the Surrealists would use techniques of psychic automatism, not to transmit the messages of spirits but to tap into their own subconscious thoughts.
Tumblr media
(Seance room of The Five)
She felt the abstract work and the meaning within were so groundbreaking that the world was not ready to see it, and she wished for the work to remain unseen for 20 years after her death.
Tumblr media
I absolutley adore her abstract style. Its conveys the exact feeling I personay attribute to death and spirituality. Its an abstract expirience, not a physical one after all. I find Hima Af Klimts work very inspiring and will take inspiration from her work to apply within my own project.

Listed: Blue Ocean
Tumblr media
Bay Area three-piece Blue Ocean plays exuberantly discordant yet surprisingly mild-mannered noise pop, not unlike what a TV Personalities record might sound like if it were playing through a box fan that’s tumbling down the stairs. In his review of last year’s self-titled LP, Chris Liberato noted how suddenly the dynamics at play in the band’s songs can change, writing of “Human Now”: “You won’t be able to help but smile when a big bombastic synth chord comes lumbering across the song, from out of nowhere, with the enthusiasm of a sedated puppy — and then decides to stick around for a couple of encores.” Hot off the announcement of their Slumberland debut, Fertile State (out in October), band members Rick Altieri, David Stringi and Neal Donovan pop by to share a few words about some of the records they love.
Dave’s Picks:
Snapper — S/T
youtube
Found years ago, during a visit to Brooklyn, NY. I instantly gravitated to the vibrant and colorful slashes of paint, which abstractly splayed themselves across the front cover. The songs are very colorful as well, painted with electrifying rhythms and arpeggiating synth leads. “This would make a great gift for a couple of friends of mine.” Maybe someday Flying Nun will re-release it.
Dummy — EP2
youtube
I find myself listening again and again to this second installment from Dummy, sonic enthusiasts based on the West Coast. The opening track “Thursday Morning” introduces itself quite charmingly with its creative and concentrated vocal melodies. Followed blissfully by deep layers of noise and feedback within a clever collage process.
Rick’s Picks:
M. Sage — Paradise Crick
youtube
This album was a surprise find in the first half of 2023 for me, I was actually listening to the single “Crick Dynamo” before the album was released and remember my ears really perked up. I know M. Sage himself just did a Listed recently, what a lovely surprise — huge new fan of his work. I love the line walked between sonic lab experimentations and organic leafy strollings by a river; right up my alley.
Bill Evans — Coffee and Cigarettes
youtube
I always come back to Bill Evans when I’m in the mood for calming jazz that still demands your attention and challenges you in many ways. His playing on this record reminds me a lot of Debussy, another go-to when trying to unwind. Evans is one of my all-time favorite piano players.
Lifetones — For A Reason
youtube
Charles Bullen of This Heat went on to make this post-punk/dub hybrid classic with Julius Cornelius Samuel in 1983 — This Heat had just broken up the year before. The rhythmic syncopations and droning cyclical vocal delivery make every song on this record a mesmerizing journey. The lyrics are profound in their simplicity, dealing with human interaction and nature.
Neptune — Gong Lake
youtube
This record will always be special to me. Neptune was one of the first bands I remember seeing with Dave when I moved to Boston in 2008. They were playing in the basement of Gay Gardens, an old DIY spot in Allston. I was instantly blown away by the barrage of rhythmic noise and impressed by the homemade guitars and effects they had fabricated. They’ve been a huge influence on Dave and I for years now.
Emeralds — Does It Look Like I’m Here?
youtube
A Midwest synth classic. When I listened to the song “Candy Shoppe” again recently I was even more moved than ever before, a good sign that this 13-year-old album stands the test of time. This album fluctuates between gritty acidic synth-scapes and ambient movements in the vein of early Eno. I love Imaginary Softwoods too, John Elliot’s solo project post-Emeralds.
Neal’s Picks:
Ananda Kumar — Mangala Vadhyam Vol. 3
youtube
A friend with roots in Tamil Nadu told me about the nadaswaram, a double-reed instrument played at weddings and religious festivals in Southern India. I love how intense and cutting the sound is. This recording features two nadaswarams in semi-improvised conversation with each other. I'm reminded a bit of the groove and excitement of traditional New Orleans jazz. Also, the thavil drumming is insane, reminiscent of Aphex Twin breakbeats.
Jed Wentz — Telemann: 12 Fantasias for Flute
youtube
Telemann's fantasias for solo flute are so cool. Although they were published in the 1730s, there's something that feels very modern about having just the flute to focus on. The player is asked to jump around throughout the range of the instrument, sometimes outlining melodies and basslines simultaneously. It's all the more impressive on the keyless, wooden, baroque flute which has a mellower sound than modern metal ones. I imagine it as portable music that someone could play anywhere.
Sheer Mag — Compilation
youtube
My partner threw this on when we were cleaning out our last apartment. I'm not usually a big fan of riff-driven guitar rock, but this album just got me. The licks are smokin’, the guitar tones are perfection, and I love the mix— just gritty enough.

Raphaël sharing a story about cacao as a medicine
For our friend Cyril Raphaël Kiepura, fire is sacred. It is an extension of the power we all possess to transform, transmute and purify. As part of his daily practice, Raphaël builds a fire and purifies water, explaining:
’I feel this is my purpose. Everywhere I go I contribute to purification. Since I was a child, I lived in houses where we built fires. I experienced my first sweat lodge ceremony when I was 15, and I was initiated as Fire Keeper at 21.’
Raphaël’s medicine is a gift for communicating with the elements. His respect for nature creates a sacred container, where the power of the elements is potent. He is a caretaker for the environment, upholding ancient values alongside modern technological advances.
Throughout his travels and living in over fifteen different countries, Raphaël has always found himself in close connection with nature. From building gardens, to nurturing kinship with animals, he finds himself in constant communion with the natural environment.
‘Everywhere I go, I spend much of my time in nature. Even if it’s a rooftop or balcony, I’ll be tending a garden. My relationship with nature began when I was very young. My grandmother was my first yoga teacher at 6 years old, and she showed me how to talk to nature.’
Travelling the world revealed vast variation in the quality of different water sources. Raphaël’s deep connection to water grew to involve more than spending time in its depths, as he began to study the structure of living water and its effect on health.
‘I’ve been very lucky to drink many different waters.’ Raphaël explains. ‘So today I am able to recognise purified, living water. It will have a higher pitch, it will look different, smell different. I have a very special connection to the water. To me, it is everything. I go out to the lakes, rivers and waterfalls and I pray to the water.’
During his studies in Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine, massage therapy and yoga, Raphaël learned how the body responds to living water.
‘The impact of living water is amazing.’ Raphaël says. ’It’s the only kind of water that is absorbed by the body in seconds.’
The high vibrational structure of living water improves brain function, signalling to our cells how to operate in harmony. This synergy is what our body knows, and remembers when we move into deeper relationship with nature’s elements.
‘Water is the main element that will influence our lives.’ Raphaël explains. ‘This is the inspiration for the work I do today.’
This passion for the elements guides Raphaël to create innovative solutions to optimise living spaces. Many years ago he met Sacred’s founder Dan whilst travelling in Australia, and they collaborated together on regenerative green projects in the city.
‘We share a similar vision of the future.’ Raphaël says. ‘We’re working on the same mission, with our different skills.’
This reflects the heart of Sacred, through and through. We are a community with a shared vision for a more harmonious world; we build that with our diverse strengths, through respect for land and relationship with all elements of nature. Our purpose is to restore balance through the connection of cacao, which is now inspiring communities across the world in Switzerland led by the Ananda Tribe.
Raphaël shares his vision for the unfolding of future events.
‘With responsibility for the Full Moon Cacao Party in Zurich, it’s about creating sacred space. I prepare for the events with mindfulness about the elements, providing pure water, tribal sounds, fire dancers and grounding smells. We move through the elements, experiencing it all with the senses.’
Raphaël’s vision for creating living spaces is the foundation for his company Lokahi for Life. He offers solutions to optimise environments based on his knowledge and connection to the four elements.
‘It involves purifying water, grounding with earth, fire for energy and protection from high frequency radiation and pollution in the air. The whole concept is about optimising living spaces to reduce stress on the body, so that the body can receive the most potent energies from the environment.’
Raphaël’s story inspires us to be attentive to the world around us. The elements of nature of everywhere, even within urban landscapes where we can discover green spaces to nestle in and collaborate within our communities to grow food and gather, remembering what is sacred. For us, these are the simplest yet most vital elements of life: connection, the land, nourishing food and gathering together to alleviate the stresses of life to find greater fulfilment.
Raphaël’s passion for the elements also deepens his connection to cacao medicine.
‘Water and fire are the two elements essential to the preparation of cacao.’ Raphaël shares. ‘When you have the pure living structure of water with the pure intention of fire, Mother Cacao will respond to the highest potential. This is my vision about our relationship to cacao, to awaken the spirit of the medicine to this most potent preparation stage. We use cacao to connect, open our hearts and create transformative spaces.’
The preparation of cacao is a powerful invitation to slow down, to move, sing and create intuitively. How you create your sacred space is beautiful and unique, and this process - as Raphaël shares - allows cacao the space to truly transform us.
Thank you dear Raphaël for sharing your story, insights and wisdom with the Sacred community. There is so much to be learned from nature, and Raphaël’s spirited communion with the elements inspires us in so many ways!

Sat-Chit-Ananda The Integral Cosmology of Sri Aurobindo
A Universe with many worlds (a Multiverse)
We see the world before our eyes, a world with its stars and galaxies and assume that this is the only world which exists.
Supramental world
Other names for the Supermind:
Maharloka in the Vedas.
Cosmology

The report is a stop solution for companies operating in the Vegan Marshmallows market. The report involves details on key segments, market players, precise market revenue statistics, and a roadmap that assists companies in advancing their offerings and preparing for the upcoming decade. Listing out the opportunities in the market, this report intends to prepare businesses for the market dynamics in an estimated period.
Is Investing in the Market Research Worth It?
