I could watch gubanova skate forever and ever, if she'd just keep going around the rink for 30 more minutes I'd be glued to the screen for it all. she finishes every line and with such elegance and intent, beautiful beautiful beautiful!!!

and i do not agree with the jury that she should be so behind loena in components, did we watch the same skater?

I actually rather like this program for Anastasiia but that pale dress and mostly blank expression are not doing her any favors

adam siao falls look so painful i can't ;((

he was kinda slow after them but the final step sequence was really nice? energetic, it didn't end bad

the only time my heart jumped this bad this worlds was during anastasiia gubanova's short program, she landed the flip and completely froze not finishing the combination and you could see the terror on her face ;(

Lovely opening Triple Lutz. Nice Double Axel. Nice spin. Ooh, no, two-footed the Triple Flip and couldn't get the combo off - ouch. Nice spin. A bit slow in that step sequence. Nice spin.

Ugh, it's such a shame about that mistake on the combo because otherwise it was a nice program from Anastasiia Gubanova of Georgia. Missing that combo is going to hurt, though, and it took all the wind out of her program.

Someone has gotta say it: Anastasiia Gubanova's voguing is better than Loena Hendrickx's. I love that there are two voguing programs in the international circuit this year, but i wish Anastasiia's got the love and hype too for bringing a new dance style into individual figure skating.

The women free skate had some very nice performances today 😊

Congrats to Nastya, Loena and Kimmy! 🥳

I rooted for Loena, but with mistakes like that a win would have been questionable. Still quality wise she is still European No 1 atm. I hope for better luck and nerves for Loena next time. I am sure this was a lot of pressure.

My personal favorites today were Nina Pinzarrone and Katya Kurakova ❤️

Ofc the level of the women at Euros and Worlds is not comparable (even with the Russians it would be only comparable at the top) but still you could see most of the girls/women perform to their abilities. (not everyone ofc, but I enjoyed this free skate)

There is still some mixed feeling on a Russian born and still living in Russia winner...I like Nastya's skating and she was neglected any chance in Russia to present herself internationally so from this perspective I am happy for her, still can't deny that this still feels like a Russian win and I don't like how this win might be used. BUT it's not Eteri team winning and that matters...(also it's not like I didn't like Russian athletes skating and it would be fake to pretend I wouldn't have liked them ever, it's just that ofc in times like this with the war and Russians being rightfully banned (I wish it would be for the doping though) I can't have the same feelings towards them especially not when they openly support the war)

anastasiia gosh im so happy for you getting a clean skate, WHAT a performance, i say this every time I watch her but she just has such a way to move, a natural beauty and elegance and a care to finish every line to their fullest. dearly beloved.
