Part 2 Ateez storyline

Deja Vu

The beginning of the music video gives me the vibe of sexy spies/thieves that enter a museum to steal something really valuable (which is almost exactly what they are doing, except the stealing part).

4. Wooyoung

1. The late afternoon of the following day, we finally arrived on the island. From the elongated shadows of the afternoon sun, I could see pensions and sunbeds. When I stepped onto the sand. I could feel the heat rising. The island was considered a tourist paradise in the past. However, nobody had visited this island for their holidays anymore since taking a rest and trip became meaningless and worthless in this world.

2. To escape quickly, Left Eye and the Grimes Siblings stayed in the ship. We walked down the island to look for the place, called the Android Guardian bunker. And we easily found the place, which was blowing off golden yellow steam on this isolated island. When we got there, it was a gallery in the middle of the island. Gallery… They banned all kinds of art - funny of them to settle and build their bunker there. We passed along the empty lobby and went towards the exhibition. The golden yellow steam continually spurted from where an arrow indicated an exhibition route.

3. Some drunk Android Guardians were lying on the floor. And at the end of its view, I could see the Men in Black Fedora were in a glass prison.

*The first part of Wooyoung’s paragraph should be kept in mind when I get to Eternal Sunshine.

After entering the museum, Ateez meet The Black Pirates who are locked up in a glass prison:

5. Hongjoong

1 There was a man at the end of the smoky road. To be more specific, they were there, the Men in Black Fedora that we met in our dreams. One person was leaning on the wall, hardly on their feet and my instinct said that I must save them.

2 I threw myself to the glass wall. It did not move. I bumped into it again. The man finally heard the noise and saw me.

3 “Finally, you are here.”

He said, and he barely took off his mask.

As I saw his face, I was in shock. He was me. The man had exactly the same face as mine.

4 “Listen, we called you here.”

In the midst of these strange incidents, I could only shake my head.

5 “We are captured here, and somebody has to do our work. You may have noticed it. This world needs a change.”

6 “Why does it have to be us? Why do we share the same face?”

I kept questioning him and tried to break the glass wall between us. But not even a small crack.

7 “I don’t have enough time to tell you the whole story. We are going to be seen by the guardians when the smoke fades. Do what I do.”

The man put his hand on the glass wall and told us to copy him. So we put our hands like he did.

8 “We all face walls. Sometimes we think that our lives would be happier without walls but that is not true. If we earn things easily, we could lose them easily.”

The man and I faced each other, and I felt some indescribable energy swirling near us, regardless of this unbelievable reality - the men with the same faces as us, endless questions about this world and everything. Soon after, we were wearing their black suits without even noticing.

As you can see in Hongjoong’s paragraph, after meeting the imprisoned Black Pirates, we finally find out why Ateez were called to the New World by these men in black fedoras:

To pass their roles as the leaders of the rebellion to Ateez because they knew they (the Black pirates) were unable to escape the prison, and somebody needed to lead the rebels. So they found Ateez, who look like them and can replace them without anyone noticing (well…except for the witness…but I’ll come back to this when I talk about Halazia).

With these things in mind, in the Deja Vu MV, we can see this exchange of roles by looking at the difference between them dressed up casually (before the appearance of Black Pirate Hongjoong) and them dressed up in their new suits (after the appearance of Black Pirate Hongjoong). This indicates exactly that the switch happened in the MV just like in the diary entry marked with red.

(And yes, they are not all in black suits, but I think this has more to do with a stylistic choice rather than lore. The important part is that they are now in suits, or better said, in their new roles as the new leaders.)

At the end of the MV, we see Ateez Yeosang on the ground with the Cromer in his hands while a fragment of Turbulence is playing in the background.

6. San

[...]

4 [...] Android guardians were burning the hope of people and they were drunk from the smoke. I felt a surge of anger coming over me. All of a sudden, Seonghwa shouted,

5 “I can't see Yeosang!”

7. Seonghwa

1 After Yeosang disappeared, we all were in panic and ran instantly to the lobby.

Fortunately, Yeosang also ran to us from the opposite exhibition at the same time. With relief we moved toward the exhibition. While looking back, Yeosang threw a shining object. The object was the Cromer.

2 It was just a short moment of celebration that we are soon going back home when the crowd of Android guardians came up to us behind Yeosang. The biggest guardian grabbed Yeosang’s neck. He threatened us saying that if we do not hand over the Cromer, he would break Yeosang’s neck. There was no way. When Hongjoong, holding the Cromer attempted to approach Yeosang, the Android Guardians ordered not to come near and just to throw the Cromer from a distance.

3 “Don’t hand it over! Once we give it to them, they will take us too!” Yeosang shouted.

It was the worst situation for us. If we did not hand it over, Yeosang would be in danger.

If we just hand it over, everyone would be caught. We cannot let Yeosang sacrifice for 7 members. What can I do?

4 Hongjoong seemed to have the same thought looking at Yeosang and us by turns.

Hongjoong began to speak about his decision. He said that he would throw the Cromer over to them if they would let Yeosang go between us and them.

8. Yeosang

1 This Andoird Guardian could get us whenever he wanted us in this gallery. I don’t doubt that. Is there any way to save myself and get the Cromer? No. These guys are everywhere. It was my fault. I should have been more careful. My friends would not have all been scattered if I had not met them at first. Then we could have not been left in this weird and dangerous place.

2 While regretting my careless behavior, I arrived in the middle of the guardians and my members. The Android Guardian shouted to Hongjoong to pass the Cromer. I saw the Cromer in the hands of Hongjoong.

3 What do we know about that sandglass? I asked myself and an answer popped in my head. It may be a gambling but there was no other way.

4 Hongjoong threw the Cromer to the guardian. The Cromer darted through the air, and I quickly snatched and turned it. The Android Guardians seemed confused, and they immediately started to chase after me. So I smashed the Cromer. The glass broke down and the sand splashed everywhere. I was being dragged away and Hongjoong tried to grab my hand. The light flashed.

Z. Outro

1 “One, two, three, four, five, six… seven.”

San’s quivering voice echoed in the heavy air of Dawn. When we woke up, we were in the warehouse where our journey began, and everything was remaining the same.

Reading the diary entry, we now know what is going on in this scene:

Before I continue the Ateez storyline with Turbulence, I have to talk about Eternal Sunshine because the events from the end of DejaVu happen in parallel with it.

Eternal Sunshine

Please go and watch the music video and tell me they don't look high on something.

I will enter speculation/theory territory right now with this song and MV because neither of them really fit the vibes of the songs up until now. Eternal Sunshine sounds more like the songs found in most Treasure albums.

The little description in Wooyoung's paragraph mentioned earlier in the post, where he describes a vacation resort, is the only thing we might have to connect Eternal Sunshine in the storyline.

Now, what does a vacation resort tend to have?

Hotels, a tennis court, a beach, palm trees.

Now…to put it into the timeline of the story, I think that these are the Black Pirates either under the influence of the yellow smoke or their memories started to be taken from them. Or both. Both sounds right.

Why do I say this? Because the song starts with the lyrics (official translation from youtube mv):

“If you could save only one memory

Which moment do you want to remember?

If I would save only one memory

It will be this moment.”

Singing about what memory they will save while they are imprisoned and the only fate of all the prisoners is for their memories to be taken away from them. Idk, kinda sus.

The events in Eternal Sunshine mv (I think) happen in parallel with the whole Cromer and Ateez Yeosang drama at the end of DejaVu.

From here, the fate of the Black Pirates is that they remain on the island, imprisoned, with (almost) no memories of the past, and are just under the influence of the yellow smoke (more or less).

But for now, in part 3 I will explain the Ateez Storyline (the red storyline) so stay tuned.

A year ago

I was going home carrying an umbrella trying not to cry because I found my couple cheating on me with a friend we had in common, until I heard crying noises that went louder than mine causing me to stop my breathing for a second to hear from where exactly it was from. I walked following the noises and found a closed box all wet because of the rain, desperately I opened it to see a little golden retriever that looked at me with fear in his eyes.

Without thinking I took him out of the cage and not even caring about the water dripping off his fur I made my way back home hugging him.

Once I put him on my yellow carpet he sat on it and spun around, I laughed cleaning my face.

— Let’s take a shower, shall we? — I said, patting his head.

I know it was impossible but for a minute I saw his eyes shining while a little smile appeared on his face.

Carrying him to the bath I washed his body and fur slowly and gently, and once I was done I let him lay next to the wood stove to give myself a relaxing shower.

A few minutes later I walked out the shower brushing my hair and I saw the puppy sleeping, I sat behind him and I touched his nose.

— What name should I give you…? — I talked to myself, thinking.

— Shaun…? Yunseop? — I looked at him and he opened his eyes, no expression on them.

— Yunho? — I asked. He rested his head on my lap while rubbing his nose on my cheek.

—- You like it, don’t you? Well… you’ll be Yunho, my Yunho.

Present day

I ran back home while carrying a small cake for dogs. Yunho turned 3 years old today and I promised him I was going to be at home earlier, without knowing my boss had decided to give me a lot of work to do.

I looked at the sky, big and dark clouds were ready to give it all.

— I just want to get home… please. — I whispered. — Just two more blocks…

After some minutes and at the moment my hand was placed on the door, the rain started as if the world was ending.

I sighed in relief.

— Baby! — I called Yunho as the door closed behind my back, and like lightning he was in front of me barking happily.

— I didn’t forget — I smiled and I placed the cake with a number three candle on the table, placing the now big Yunho on a chair.

— Wait a second! Don’t eat yet, let me take a picture! — I begged and he just stayed still.

I took my phone while focusing the camera on his face and the cake, but as soon as I pressed the button to capture a beautiful picture, a big thunder made its presence, turning off the lights.

— At least I bought you a candle. — I said laughing while I lit the candle just to see a big guy sitting on Yunho’s place.

— What the…? — I stepped back.

— Y/n! — he shouted euphoric with a big smile decorating his face.

— How do you…? — I asked, looking at him and his… dog ears? — Yunho…? — I questioned in a whisper.

— That 's me. — he said and looked at the cake in front of him, specifically at the candle it had.

I breathed two times trying not to freak out.

— I guess you are not eating that, right?

He stared at me while he pinned me innocently against the wall and gave a small kiss on my cheek like always.

I looked at him nervously.

— And I guess you are not turning 3… right?

While Y/N is focused on working, someone called her and Hyeri saw who it was and…

THEIR CONVERSATION:

Y/N: Yup! Why?

Wooyoung: Can I go to your place tomorrow? I just wanted to hang out with you. My friends have other plans so I think I can hang out with you instead and can I sleepover at your place too?

When Y/N heard that Wooyoung asked permission to sleepover at her place she blushed madly and gulped at the thought of it but…

Y/N: Oh! Of course, since I also don’t have any plans for this weekend.

Wooyoung: That’s great! I will go to your place after lunch and we can do some random stuff tomorrow until Sunday, sounds good?

Y/N: Yup! That would be great Wooyoung. See you tomorrow!

Wooyoung: Okay! See you tomorrow, Y/N! I think I already interrupted you while you are working. Am I?

Y/N: No, you are not interrupting me. To be honest, I am almost done with my work and will have lunch with my friend here.

After Y/N had a conversation with Wooyoung, it was already their lunch break. Then when she is having lunch with Hyeri…

“I haven’t mentioned him because it’s been a long time we haven’t had a communication. But 3 months ago, we had communication again,” Y/N said.

“Why do you think of that?” Hyeri asked.

“To be honest, when we were in college, he dated many girls except for me and whenever he had problems in his relationship and had painful breakups, he opened up to me and he even cried to me once. That’s why I just really think I am in the friend zone but I think it’s a good thing we are still good friends,” Y/N said.

“But you were jealous of the girls that Wooyoung dated before?” Hyeri asked.

“Yup! But it was so frustrating that they cheated on him that’s why Wooyoung had many painful breakups before,” Y/N said.

“But is he still single until now?” Hyeri asked.

“Yup! To be honest, I was also quite surprised he wanted to sleep over tomorrow at my place,” Y/N said as she blushed and Hyeri was also surprised.

“Are you sure you won’t be tempted?” San asked.

“I won’t be tempted to have sex with her and I am a man of my words, San,” Wooyoung said.

“Okay! I get it. But why do you even have to sleepover at her place?” San asked.

“Is it bad if I sleep over at my best friend’s house?” Wooyoung asked as he raised one of his eyebrows.

“It’s not a bad thing. But this is different because your best friend is a woman, okay?” San said.

“I know where you are coming from. But the reason why I wanted to sleepover at her place is that I just really wanted to catch up with her and share some things with her," Wooyoung said.

“Oh! I see. But still, have fun hanging out with her,” San said as he winked and Wooyoung chuckled.

“San, your statement still has a hidden meaning on it. Can you just stop it!” Wooyoung said and San laughed at him.

“Fine! I will stop now,” San said and Wooyoung slightly laughed.

THE NEXT DAY…

It was the day where Wooyoung will go to Y/N’s place. While Y/N is waiting for Wooyoung…

“Gosh! It will be my first time to let Wooyoung sleep in my place and I am getting nervous!” Y/N thought and her thoughts were cut-off when someone pressed the doorbell of her apartment and she saw that it was Wooyoung who has a bag with him. Then when Y/N opened the door, she blushed at Wooyoung who is now smiling at her brightly.

“Omg! He is so handsome as ever!” Y/N thought and she let Wooyoung come inside her apartment and she guided him first to his room.

“I will just prepare snacks for us, okay?” Y/N said.

“Okay! I will just organize my things first then I will help you,” Wooyoung said as he smiled and Y/N nodded and smiled back at him. While Y/N is preparing snacks for them, Woooyoung saw her and silently stared at her.

“I am so happy that I had a chance to meet Y/N again. But damn, she is now more attractive than before,” Wooyoung thought and he decided to approach her and…

“Do you need some help?” Wooyoung asked. Then Y/N got startled at his appearance at her back and when she turned around to face him, their lips suddenly touched which made Y/N surprised because his face was close to her and Wooyoung was also surprised and both of them blushed because of the accidental kiss.

“I am sorry, Y/N I was too close,” Wooyoung said, and when Y/N looked at him…

“Oh! He’s hot he is wearing a white sleeveless shirt and his chest is kinda buff and his biceps are firm too,” Y/N thought.

“It’s okay. Since it was also my fault for being so startled," Y/N said and Wooyoung slightly laughed at her.

“By the way, before when I haven’t reached you out did you have a boyfriend?” Wooyoung asked.

“Yes. But he cheated on me and hurt me physically whenever he is in a bad mood,” Y/N said.

“What? He really hurt you physically?” Wooyoung asked and Y/N nodded.

“Because I was traumatized being hurt by that jerk. I decided not to date anyone first,” Y/N said.

“Oh, okay! But still, do you have communication with him or still see him?” Wooyoung asked.

“Nope! I just wanted to forget him and that was a long time ago too,” Y/N said.

“Oh okay! But you think you are ready to date again someone?” Wooyoung asked.

“I think so. But of course, the fear is still in my heart,” Y/N said.

“I understand, Y/N. Do you have any plans for today? Do you want to go out or just stay here?” Wooyoung asked.

“I don’t have any plans for today and I think I just wanted to stay here. If that’s okay with you,” Y/N said.

“It’s okay for me to stay here since It’s hard to think where should we go, right?” Wooyoung said.

“You’re right! Also, we can just order our food here,” Y/N said and Wooyoung agreed and smiled at her. As time goes by, it was already 10pm and both of them are still not sleeping.

“Y/N, I have a question,” Wooyoung said and Y/N looked at him.

“What is it?” Y/N asked as she smiled at him.

“I hope you won’t get the wrong idea if I asked you that. Did you already have sexual fantasies about me?” Wooyoung asked and Y/N nearly spit her drink out because of his blunt question.

“Wow! I didn’t expect that question and that was really straightforward,” Y/N said.

“I am sorry. I was just curious. But I won’t judge you. You can be honest with me,” Wooyoung said as he smiled and Y/N gulped.

“Ummm… Yes,” Y/N said as she suddenly hid her face at the pillow and Wooyoung was surprised and laughed at her being so shy to answer his question and he snatched the pillow from her and…

“Okay! No need to be shy, Y/N. To be honest, I was kinda surprised by your answer. Oh well, I think I shouldn’t have asked that question,” Wooyoung said and Y/N just laughed.

“Wait! What about you?” Y/N asked as she still can’t look at him.

“Me? If I have already had sexual fantasies about you before? Yes,” Wooyoung said it without hesitation and looked at her and winked at her and Y/N blushed at his answer.

“Shit! I didn’t expect that will be his answer! Also, how can he answer that easily?" Y/N thought.

“Oh okay! Let’s just stop with your random question. I was just also curious. Anyways, we should watch some movies now,” Y/N said and Wooyoung laughed and nodded. As they watch movies until midnight, Wooyoung can’t move because Y/N’s head was on his lap and already slept and he can feel her breath that made his shorts have a growing boner.

“Shit! This is not good!” Wooyoung thought and he decided to wake her up but Y/N already slept deeply. So, Wooyoung just carried her to her room and laid her but when he was about to leave her, Y/N pulled him to her, and Wooyoung was surprised at her sudden action.

“Just sleep beside me this night, Wooyoung,” Y/N said in a sleepy state.

“Oh damn! I should control myself,” Wooyoung thought and he just agreed to sleep beside her. As they went to sleep, Wooyoung successfully controlled himself to do something to Y/N and both of them slept peacefully.

THE NEXT DAY…

Y/N was the first one to wake up and the first thing she saw is a sleeping Wooyoung beside her who is hugging her and she blushed and was surprised.

“Wait! Why is he beside me?” Y/N thought and she suddenly remembered last night.

“Oh! It’s because of me I told him to sleep beside me," Y/N thought and when she tried to pull out from Wooyoung’s hug, she suddenly felt his morning boner and…

“Oh gosh! I think I should leave him first. I can literally feel his “thing” on my butt!” Y/N thought and she successfully pulled out from Wooyoung’s hug and went to the kitchen. As soon as Wooyoung woke up, he went to find Y/N and he saw that she already prepared breakfast for them.

“Good morning, cutie Y/N!” Wooyoung said as he flashed a bright smile on Y/N and she blushed.

“Good morning, Wooyoung! Let’s have breakfast,” Y/N said as she smiled back and Wooyoung nodded and joined her at the table and while they are having breakfast…

“I am sorry if I suddenly told you last night that you should sleep beside me,” Y/N said and Wooyoung slightly laughed at her.

“No need to be sorry, okay? I think we were just really comfortable with each other,” Wooyoung said.

“Well, you have a point. But I still can’t forget what you asked me last night,” Y/N said as she blushed and Wooyoung laughed.

“I am sorry if you were caught off guard with my question but you answered it anyway,” Wooyoung said and Y/N nodded and laughed. After they had breakfast…

“Wooyoung, you can take a bath first and I will wash the dishes," Y/N said.

“Are you sure? You don’t want me to help you?” Wooyoung asked.

“It’s really okay! Also, it’s not that many,” Y/N said.

“Okay! If you say so! I will take a bath first,” Wooyoung said and Y/N nodded. When Wooyoung left her, she suddenly remembered the feeling of Wooyoung’s morning boner on her butt and she shook her head and…

“Yup! That’s a good idea,” Y/N said. Then Y/N let go of Wooyoung and they washed up themselves and had breakfast and rested in the room for a few hours. As they went on a date at lunchtime, they went first to a restaurant that has a beautiful view of the ocean and they also visited some places and they made unforgettable and beautiful memories.

“I love you so much Y/N,” Wooyoung said as he smiled at Y/N.

“I love you too so much, Wooyoung!” Y/N said as she smiled back and Wooyoung kissed her lips quickly and hugged each other.

It was just another day in KQ Entertainment. The boys were working hard while you were in you and Woo-Young’s apartment, chilling. You knew that he’d come back home hungry, which is why you were watching some cooking videos on your phone.

You then felt like he deserved a hearty meal. With that decision in place, you stood up from bed, grabbed your earphones and went to the kitchen to prepare his dinner. You then started playing “Horizon” and imagined your boyfriend’s seductive beginning.

Meanwhile, at the company, Seong-Hwa was plotting revenge. Remember how Woo-Young had tampered with Seong-Hwa’s water bottle last time? Well… Seong-Hwa decided; “Get a taste of your own medicine, buddy”.

And so here we are, Woo-Young huffing tiredly yet frustratedly at his buddy. He was in the bathroom stalls, unsure of what had gone wrong and why he suddenly felt so… Active. He felt his upper body feel heated while his lower was tense. He shook his head, and walked out of the stall to splash cold water on his face.

“Oh. Woo-Young-Ah, you good?” Hong-Joong asked as the younger nodded frantically, “Yes, I’m fine!” he yelped as the leader gave him an odd look. “I’ll go tell Manager to take you back home.. You seem hurried and distracted,” the older said as Woo-Young gulped.

As you were jamming to the music, you didn’t hear the electronic door lock beep. You minded your own business while stirring the pot of Kimchi Jjigae, hoping that Woo-Young would come back home and enjoy the dinner you prepared.

Unknowingly, you felt someone wrap their arms around your waist, burying their head in the crook of your neck. You then smiled, while taking off your earphones. You tried to turn around but you stopped after you felt him lick your neck.

You felt a shiver down your spine, making you yelp. “Young-Ah?” you questioned as he then attacked your neck with wet kisses. Gasping, you held onto his hands as he smirked. You could feel his buddy behind you, making your face feel heated.

“Woo-Young-Ah?” you asked again as he then turned you around, slamming his lips with yours, turning the stove off. His mind was clouded with thoughts of you moaning underneath him, he could only think of the dirty things he’d do to you.

“I know that you cooked that for me,” he said while pulling away from the kiss, his hands swiftly untying the apron that you were wearing. He then took it off of you, kissing you again as you wrapped your arms around his neck.

He then ushered you to hop, which you did and later wrapped your legs around his waist. He carried you to a counter and sat you on it, moving to your neck as he then sucked on your sweet spot. You suppressed the moan but led it out after he had sneaked his hands under your shirt.

His touch made you shiver as he rubbed his thumbs on your belly, you softly gasped and panted by his ear which made him feel even hotter. He then looked down at your short, already thinking of something.

He pulled away, looking at your face first, smirking at your flustered expression. Your chest was heaving up and down in a way that only made Woo-Young feel even more aroused. He then grabbed onto your short’s waist.

Looking at the hickey, he pulls you closer to him and kisses you sweetly. He then slowly unbuttons your shorts, wrapping his arms around your waist and bringing you closer to him. He then pulls away and looks at you, panting.

“I need your permission babygirl, I would love to taste the food you made for me.. But there is something that I want to taste.. I won’t let you go tonight, kitten..” ..
