Lovecraft Country This ep. was a gift from Misha Green to black women, for everytime Hippolyta said "I AM" I felt her pride swell in me. With the aftermath of Breanna Taylor we needed this to tether "US" in our worth. Aunjanue Ellis gave a phenomenal performance of Hippolyta living her best lives dancing with my icon Josephine Baker. Seeing her in all her glory slaying the confederate soldiers. This ep. was a transformation beyond the physical. Seraphina was exquisite, this was my introduction to Afrofuturistism and I want more! The entire sequence was a masterpiece to feast my brain. With all her grand adventures she chose to be a mother to Dee. Let me take a moment to admire the GlowUP of Ruby. I was happy to see her and Leti heal their divide just in time for Ruby to figure out Leti is pregnant. I cant wrap this up without touching on Montroose and Sammy, how jarring it was to have Tig and Leti seeing his sexuality. Tig realized the beatings he received were the hatred Montroose had for himself. Did y'all catch that Dora knew. Till next week.... As usual this ep. brought up more questions: -How exactly did Tig get from Chicago to Kansas in a blink -we get another nod to Emmet Till - what is the imprint on Tig's back -will Ruby tell Kristine about Leti being pregnant, whose side is Ruby on now that she's had a taste of magic - do Tig and Leti share the same dream because she is pregnant #horrorsisterslovecraftcountryrecap #LovecraftCountry #horrorsisters #aunjanueellis #mishagreen https://www.instagram.com/p/CF02e_Zl2Yu/?igshid=cs1dkrqdhh21
