when i say ‘make my fonts’ it means i draw my own letters — my work is called hand-lettering which is different than a graphic or edit where a person would  type the text instead of working on it. to give you an example: here’s a video i recorded while working on a quote! you see how i made everything from scratch?

now, to make a lyric edit over a picture, both art practices can be used:+ you can either type your text using a font you like, such as times, avenir next, georgia or one you want to download/purchase+ or you can write down your text using your skills and pens and then add it on top of the picture

both would require photoshop to add your text on top of the picture! (or something similar but i’m not familiar with any other apps)

now, to work on your own font you only really need a drawing app allowing you to sketch your letters and export your file — many creative apps are available: adobe illustrator, adobe photoshop, procreate, astropad studio, affinity designer, assembly, infinite painter, art set 4, sketchpad, autodesk sketchbook. i’m sure there are many more!!! just note that they won’t all work on the same platforms (windows, linux, macos, ios, android) and that many of them aren’t free!
