ARGGGHHHH

So two things - 1) my entire family outside of my parents and sister think I'm still living at home because "living with your partner before marriage is living in sin" etc etc and I fucking fucking hate it. I was ok with keeping that under wraps when I was 23 but now I'm 28 and just tired and exhausted by the whole thing. According to my mom I can tell them but it's gonna be a family-wide scandal because my entire family is conservatives except for my parents, and they love to cause fights and talk shit about my "commie hippie snowflake" immediate fam. (ei: the fact that my parents still wear a mask is apparently one of the biggest scandals in the family and proof that they're "insane")

2) Yesterday was my sister's graduation party who graduated from the same school as me with an art degree - and my cousin made a comment like "another (last name) with an art degree that's gonna be broke! BAHAHAHAHA" and my dad was like "Noelle does really well" to which my cousin said "yeah sure, she still lives at home"

Which. I don't live at home and I couldn't even fucking say it because of this giant fucking charade that's been going on for 5 fucking years. And I hate comments like that because, even if I was still living at home, who fucking cares!!! We're living in Hell World in one of the most expensive areas in the country. I'll never judge someone for living at home. My own ideals and principles are one thing but yesterday I just felt so fucking held back from this shadow of conservative family members that looms over me and my parents where like, it's ok if they make a shitty comment, judge us, or talk politics, but as soon as we just try to live our normal fucking lives or take one STEP OUT OF LINE it causes a fucking scandal. So we all just gotta take it and play nice. I'm tired of having to be on eggshells. It's getting fucking ridiculous.
