Bulldozer action against 'BJP worker' who assaulted woman at Noida society

Authorities have started removal of encroachment at the house of Shrikant Tyagi, the so-called BJP worker who allegedly abused and assaulted a woman at a housing society in Noida last week.

Bulldozers, accompanied by teams of Noida Police, rolled in outside Grand Omaxe in Noida's Sector 93, where Shrikant Tyagi had manhandled and hurled expletives at a woman resident after she reportedly confronted him about encroachment by him. The video of the incident went viral.

Residents of the Noida housing society were seen cheering and clapping as a bulldozer brought down the illegal construction by Tyagi. "We are happy with this action by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and CEO of Noida Authority. We were annoyed with his [Tyagi’s] illegal construction and attitude,” a resident said.

Uttar Pradesh Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak said, “CM has taken cognisance of the whole case, we will not let the accused walk free. Strict action will be taken against those who break the law.”

The Supreme Court on Friday asked the state government to respond to the killing of three BJP workers in West Bengal.

Mahesh Gupta / Sumit Kumar New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Friday asked the state government for a reply to the killing of three BJP workers in West Bengal. The Supreme Court ordered this order during the hearing of a petition filed by the Supreme Court to hand over the investigations to these killings. Justices AK Sikri and Ashok Bhushan's bench asked the West Bengal Government and the CBI to respond in four weeks. Earlier, on behalf of the petitioners, Gaurav Bhatia put the case of the murder of BJP worker Trilochan Mahato, Dulal Kumar and Shantipada government in the court. They alleged that the police is acting negligently in the investigation. Along with this, the petition also demanded a compensation of Rs 50 lakh to the family of the deceased. Accusation on state government After this, the Supreme Court asked the CBI and the state government to give a notice for a further hearing in this regard, to give a reply. Gaurav Bhatia said that these three people killed in West Bengal, despite this the police has not yet filed an FIR and the people of the family allegedly threatened. He said that in view of this, a CBI inquiry should order and the order should given that compensation to the victim family of Rs. 50 lakhs should be given. With this, he also demanded protection for the family members. Earlier, the Supreme Court had refused an immediate hearing in the case of the killing of two BJP workers.
