girl how do u do the whole gradient thing in ur post

hey hey love 💏 i guess it's time for teacher sru (?) to give a tutorial to her beloved lovelies, let's gaur ! ◟(ˊᗨˋ)◞

STEP 001 : firstly you need to log in to your blr acc via ur computer or the chrome website cause it only works that way. in my midnight shenanigans post i did the whole colour thingy from my comp but in my recent one i did it from my tab cause my comp is acting up BIG TIME 🧍‍♀️

STEP 002 : after logging in, click on create and when a writing box (idk what to call it) pops up, click on the gear button on the upper right corner.

STEP 003 : then, scroll down a bit and u should see a text editor, change it to html.

STEP 004 : keep that there for a while and open a new tab and go to THIS website.

STEP 005 : there you will a text box which requires for you to fill with the text you want the gradient in.

STEP 006 : next, go down and you will find a colourizer or a spectrum colour choosing tool of two colour choice options. choose the gradient colours you want from there!

STEP 007 : then just below it you will see a generated html code, copy the whole thing.

STEP 008 : now come back to your draft in blr and paste the whole html code in the html text editor (step 3!) after that check ur preview and,

STEP 009 : ALL DONE! you now have ur gradient text ♡

𖹭 TYPOGRAPHY DIVIDER TUTORIAL

this is by far the most requested tutorial, i accidentally deleted a 4th ask abt this TT sorry for the delay, but i hope this will be helpful for you all ^^

𖹭 APPS & WEBSITES USED : ibispaint x, dafonts

𖹭 STEPS

STEP O1: open ibispaint x. there should be three options upon just opening it, select the option ‘ my gallery ’

STEP 02: there should be a plus sign on top of your screen now, click on it.

STEP 03: now, there should be an option to choose the dimensions of your choice for you canvas. for this divider, i used dimensions: ‘ 1700 x 210 ’ but you can experiment around take different dimensions!

STEP 04: then click the ‘ ok ’ button in black, beside the dimensions.

STEP 05: after the above step, your canva should be infront of you. click on your canvas and there should be a sidebar of various options and tools on your left.

STEP 06: click on the ‘ text ’ option, and then click on the ‘ font ’ option just beside the text box which should pop up

STEP 07: after clicking on fonts, the page should be divided into two— all & favourites. ‘ favourites ’ is for your custom/downloaded fonts!

STEP 08: now to have fancy fonts like mine ( for example, the font i used for the divider in my pinned!) click on the plus sign beside favourites, and it should lead you to the dafonts website, and you can download your own desired fonts from there!

𖹭 FONT USED FOR THIS DIVIDER(& pinned): aston script

STEP 09: now download ( or not ) your wanted fonts and type out whatever you need to in the text box

STEP 10: there should be size, style and all other options for your text and you can colourize and size and stuff according to your liking from those options!

STEP 11: click on the green tick mark when your done with your text

STEP 12: on the very right bottom, there should be an arrow, click on it and then click save image.

STEP 13: now to avoid the white background problem & doing an extra step of removing it, you must enable the transparent option and save it in PNG and NOT in JPEG !!

STEP 14: click ok aaaand we're done ^^

for fonts for my fic banners/ header theme banners i use the website dafonts to get them! although it's included on the app i use to edit my banners— ibispaint x i don't use canva as such but whenever i do i search for 'canva fonts' in pinterest to choose fonts in canva !!

and for the fonts on my tags and navi i use the website yaytext >< they have really good fonts to pick from!

𖹭 FINDING AESTHETIC PICTURES

pinterest is your bestie in this one. if u need to know, it's a free app which is just pictures and cuteness >< but keywords really do matter, i usually search " ( genre/colour im looking for ) + aesthetic " for example: " beige aesthetic "

tumblr can also be a good option! u can follow moodboard accs, and get inspiration from them ^^

𖹭 GETTING OVER WRITERS BLOCK

i listen to new songs and discover different artists as music plays a huge role in my writing process & finding prompts/plots ^^ i also write small essays or poems to overcome writers block and get back in the flow. but remember: don't ever pressurize yourself & find the right track to go on <3

𖹭 INSPO FOR FICS

just as i stated in the above point, music! a huge huge role played by music in my writings + different pictures, inspos from daily life, cute moments, etc ^^

hihi, ofc i can <3 sorry for the delay tho, i totally forgot to check my inbox TT i'm so absent minded these days TT

so first you have to follow THIS tutorial of mine to have the gradient texts first and draft jt

then open the website yaytext and type out whatever you want to and copy whatever fancy font from there.

now come back to your drafted post and just beside the gradient text, paste the font

and then just delete the part you were not looking for like the wonie in this case! hope that helped ><

𖹭 HOW TO MAKE YOUR BLR ACCENT WHITE

if you're having this problem then it's probably because of your background colour !! white accents won't show up with lighter backgrounds like these:

so for a white accent, i suggest you to set your background colour to a deeper shade/colour , or a medium tone of any colour like these:

omg thank you and so sorry for being late, i totally did n see this before what TT anyways, i may not be the best person to ask this since im 9ften stuck on milestones, but here's what could be improved and tips i think newer writers here can follow ><

try to be consistent— try to post at least once a week, so that you remain in the picture still, more people can read your fics and know about you since you're uploading on a schedule. however, you should prioritize tumblr over your own personal life!

have a your own writing style— it's important to put out your words in a certain way, shape them properly in order to create a nice flow of sentences which gradually shapes the plot around it. capturing the readers interest from the start time the end with your writing is really important and helpful ! so I suggest, reading more and practicing ><

having a neat layout— a neat layout with short and catchy summaries, warnings, word counts and etc, can attract readers and help you grow !

a nice theme— not a must, but having a cute little aesthetic theme boosts the overalls of your blog ( again, making it look prettier ! )

lastly, explore your writing and different genres— this is really important cause it not only helps in your writing practice, but hey who knows you can shine so much brighter in a completely different genre ^_^

hello, anon ! i usually search up ‘colour/aesthetic’ + ‘core/aesthetic’ on pinterest, then click on to the picture i like the most and scroll down until i see my favoured picture ! hope this helped 💌

ong annonie there's so tut for it uhmmm 😢 well i just downloaded the video from twitter, made it a bit short and experimented my way to make it fit within 10mb using a random gif maker on play store.

How did you remove the ask button on your blog but keep it so that people could still send asks?

hai so i didn't really get your ask ? TT are you asking how i removed the words from ask button / how my ask button is empty ? if so, then i simply deleted the default sentence in the ask button and added few spaces with my spacebar ! i hope this is what you asked for, if not, do tell me !

hi sru !! how you make your bio has a mix of two colour?

haii >< i actually did nothing but change my accent colour to that beige like colour and my font colour to black, then by adding a link to the bio! when you link something it takes up the accent colour so it's automatic! hope this clears it up >_<

first of im really sorry for the delay TT and noo don't worry ur totally not bothering me love, im more than happy to help ^0^

as you can see in the above line, there is some space left before the heart shaped icon. and in all blr posts like this, it can be done by simply pressing the spacebar multiple times/ as many times you want it to be to create your desired amount of space ^^

but while working on tags and trying to create a initial space before typing anything, it won't work. the text would be set back to to the hashtag sign.

to avoid this and make cute tags with initial spaces before and after, you need to go THIS 🎀 website first. from there, you copy the blank space and come back to blr, and paste it on the tags! and then continue with your text part on the tags, and if u want a space after too, paste the blank space again! FOR EXAMPLE : you can look, at my 'discreet doves' tag just under this post, i used the blank space copy for this ^^ !!
