MY BRAIN IS FREE AND SURVIVED ON ADRENALINE AHHDASHGDAS 1) Rough animation with idw designs is fun. Blurr turned out to be easier than I thought (imagine animating Deadlock *shivers*) 2) Clean up and coloring is NOT.

i imagine blurr is a retired show-cat and swindle ended up getting adopted by blurr's owner after all the decepticats got caught. he's a mischievous and ugly little thang but blurr loves him all the same <3

Since I'm a messy multishipper I've also started pondering a scenario for ShockBlurr in Earthspark.

Taking the season two idea of Shockwave ending up leading the Decepticons (and maybe not much else, IDK), Blurr undergoes a deep cover assignment of pretending to switch sides to the Decepticons. The rationale he gives being that HE didn't sign up to spend the rest of his days on a planet of organics, and while all the Autobots seem content to make new lives here, he's with the Decepticons in finding a way home (naturally, probing about the progress there as he gives this spiel, just HOW close is Shockwave to rebuilding functional space bridge technology?)

Shockwave is no dummy and is of course suspicious of this claim. He'd trust an autobot's word why?

Blurr countering that without any controllable way of creating more Cybertronians with the Allspark MIA, can Shockwave really turn down any who wish to join his cause? Especially one who is fast enough to straight up steal Energon from human reserves of it?

Shockwave: *grumble* *grumble*

So with much reluctance and after a hefty bribe of Energon, Blurr is tacitly allowed to join the Decepticons.

... If you've seen any memes for L and Light from Death Note doing "I know you know I know" interactions, that's how I'm imagining early ShockBlurr interactions here. XD

From there ehhhh Blurr probably knows he's gotta be personable with Shockwave (and other high up Decepticons) if he wants to make headway in learning useful intel. So maybe, taking advantage of the fact Shockwave's been sleeping for about fifteen years Blurr proposes filling him in with field trips and such as needed.

Shockwave: Unneeded. I've tapped into their primitive internet and have read about the most prominent events in the stellar cycles I missed.

Blurr: Awwww, cmon Shock, you know that's not as good as doing actual fieldwork.

Shockwave: *grumble* *grumble*

(why yes in my mind this IS grumpy x sunshine)

So yup, low key date time that involves discussing the pros and cons of life on earth. And if Shockwave gets suspicious about this for someone who says the Autobots settled in too easily, Blurr 'concedes' he doesn't hate it here, he just wants to make sure they ultimately see if they can get home.

Where this ultimately goes, not sure? I've got an idea of Shockwave maaaaaybe realizing that enough biofuel could be used to bring Cybertron to them or some other purpose, contemplating using all of Earth for it... Except maybe that's something that might bother this version of Shockwave a bit. Hard to compare him to say, Skybound atrocities when he's telling a human child to get out of the way and stop protecting Megatron or he'll hurt her too. And petting cows.

Especially as he can't be sure it would even be worth it in the end, if he kills one planet only to summon Cybertron and it's an irreversibly lifeless husk of a world? It would be the ultimate illogical move, actually. Wholesale slaughter for NOTHING?!

Maybe for funsies there's ALSO ShockJack reconciliation happening in the background, whether platonic or a "Shockwave has two servos (in spirit at least)" sitch. Two scientist brains solving what to do about Cybertron and the missing Allspark, while Blurr is there being charming and sassy.

My Transformers Generations Blurr figure has arrived. And oh my god he was SO much uglier in all those photos I saw before. Seriously what the fuck why no one on those marketplaces chooses the right angle when taking a photo of him aodjfngnv

The guy is GORGEOUS. And he has secret pockets and those pockets are full of guns and I love him.

Also judging purely by the lore on the box - he is like. Personality of Animated Blurr with the looks of kinda-IDW Blurr. And he is a freaking sniper + a courier for secret tactical information. Incredible. Amazing. Ten out of ten.
