BUGFORMERS
PROJECT..
A Sticky Situation
Starting today 11/19/23.. since I have a love for bugs and robots why not put it together.. but, in this they are technically just bugs..
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Concept designs for our main buggers!!
I'm not sure who to design next so.. suggest some Transformer characters you want to see in this... I'm planning on adding Ironhide, Jazz, Soundwave, and the other two seekers but I'm not sure if they will also be mosquitoes.. They might be different species depending on what I settle on for their personality, I would also love it if you guys could suggest bugs species.. because I'm struggling to find some :)
I'm going to add a lot to this so.. There aren't just going to be a few bugs in this garden...
And I can tell you right now... That Megatron design I just did.. I've never crushed on a bug, so hard... Or at all for that matter..

I've never written, or really seen much? bugformers before, so this was novel and interesting. (Disclaimer: I don't know much about insects. >_>;)
Anyway this one is with thanks to @dirtyreusablehandkerchief who provided the prompt: "for the megastar flash fic thing if you're still doing that: how about a TFP bugformers AU? starscream is a very fluffy moth and megatron is an atlas beetle."

Bugformers AU: Emily Kennedy was in her bedroom working on a research project on certain plants she tended to in the house's backyard garden. A bug zapper was in full glow outside of the window to keep out any pests. As the words kept getting typed, a loud crackle of energy echoed right by the zapper. Something larger than usual fell onto the windowsill. No ordinary bug could cause that!
She was shocked out of her focus on the project by the crackle. It was completely unnatural, something was clearly wrong. "What just-?!" She gasped, before looking down at the creature. "Oh..." She muttered, picking it up so she could get a better look at it.

Colossal is a pretty quiet ship with such a small crew.  There’s always something going on somewhere, but the question normally is: when?
Mixer has monitor duty, a recently established chore after an incident with a ghost.  A story for another time, as the Communications officer sighs, watching all of the screens.  The crew members milling about, working on their own shifts of projects.
Kameel, their nanities expert, having a conversation with their nurse, Blockade, casual by the looks of it.  It’s nice to see the skittish monoformer seemingly relaxed.  Kami is good at socializing like that.  Speaking of the mech, Mixer searches for where his Amica is.  Ah, there he is, on the engineering deck working on upgrades to the Cybernught.  Gigatech was always trying to better the design.  He seems content with working alone, as always.  Little grouch.  Mixer can’t help but like the minibot regardless.  The tiny engineer is pretty funny.
A look to another screen is the Commander and his Lieutenant walking and discussing something.  Mixer hopes it’s planning for a damn date already, but in reality, he knows they’re talking about a report.  Boring!  Ugh, maybe one day they’ll see what he sees.  He shifts his gaze to see their newly promoted CMO passed out in the barracks.  Probably from drinking too much, Vindicator does have that one tiny issue about him.  Poor mech, maybe next time he’ll pass out in an actual berth.
Maybe he’ll get his twin brother to put him in one.  Oh, wait, no, Launcher still doesn’t trust the Decepticon.  Where is that mech anyway?  Mixer doesn’t look far when he finds the mech in the practice range, working on his aim.  “Bro, you don’t gotta keep trying to prove yourself an equal.”  the Comms mech mutters to himself, although admiring his brother’s determination to get better.  Oh, and Glare is not too far!  Practicing his hand-to-hand with Bladerunner.
While Glare is their blind flier, he’s got a mean punch to him.  Unfortunately for him, Bladerunner is a wily speeder, easily dodging and pinching the flier to confuse him.  Mixer gives a soft laugh, watching the speeder longer than he had most screens.  Such a handsome, fun mech.  What Mixer wouldn’t give right now to trade places with Glare.
“Oi!”
Mixer jolts upward, optics wide behind his visor.  He wasn’t staring!  Promise!  He looks down at the bugformer and pilot, Fuzzy Sage, standing beside his seat with Disaster in tow.  The scout muffles a laugh at the Comms mech’s face while Sage just narrows his gaze with his lower set of arms crossed.  “You’re lucky I ain’t the greenstalk.” huffs the pilot.
“Yeah, yeah,” the mech rolls his optics, thankful for his opaque visor, “What can I do for you two?”
Disaster takes to answer much more cheerfully than the bug was, “We just wanted to check on you,” a beat, “And because we’re booooooored!  Let’s do something, please?”
Mixer smiles at the minibot’s pleading, “Dee, I’m on shift.”
The scout tries to enlarge his lone optic as if it would help his begging more.  The other mech just laughs it off, “Is that why poor Fuzz is here?  Tried to get him to entertain you and he decided to drop you on me?”
Both nod, earning another chuckle.  “Well, I still have to be on shift, but...”  Mixer grins, looking at both, “the floor is lava.”
5, 4...,
Immediately, Disaster runs to jump onto the Comms mech’s lap, giggling.  “Safe!” 3, 2...,
Fuzzy Sage spreads his moth wings to lift himself off the floor and fly to the console, delicately placing himself on top.
1.
Mixer’s feet are up off the floor, laughing as he helps Disaster better adjust in his lap.  “Now you’re stuck here until the lava goes away!”  He declares, giving the scout a noogie.  Fuzzy watches with a roll of his optics, but nevertheless amused by his MTO comrades.  He takes a gander at the screens, before looking over at the other two.
“So how would you think the rest of the crew would respond to the lava?”  The techno-organic asks innocently, with a smug grin.  Mixer looks up at the bug with a smirk, “Get outta my head.”
Disaster settles into Mixer’s lap as the mech turns on the overhead comms.  His optics watching the screens of where the crew is located.  Some probably won’t play along, but that’s fine.  As long as some do.
“The Floor is Lava!”
Kameel hops up onto the medical slab without hesitation, while Blockade panics before realizing the slab is a safe zone.
“5,”
Gigatech sets down his tools and calmly climbs into the cybernught before locating the camera to flip off Mixer.  Disaster can only laugh at that while Mix sticks his tongue out.
“4,”
Tormentor starts looking around frantically for a place to save himself, while Lieutenant seems to insist they keep focused on the report.  The massive Decepticon ignores, and instead lifts up the Autobot, who for once, doesn’t fuss about being picked up.  Mixer grins wider.  The two are getting along much better these days.
“3,”
Launcher puts away his gun before clinging onto a pole and rapidly scaling it to the ceiling.  “Show off,” Mixer shakes his head with amusement.  Of course the mech has to go all the way.
“2,”
Bladerunner shoots out his wiring to attach to the ceiling, before creating a swing to settle in.  Glare, being the cheater that he is, knows he’s a root-mode capable flier and just activates his thrusters.
“1.”
“Well thank you for participating in this game, and making my shift more enjoyable!  Good day.”
