Extending Your Australia Student Visa 2023
Tumblr media
If you wish to extend your stay in Australia, there are a few different opportunities you can explore based on the purpose of your extended stay, and what type of visa you are able to get.
Only the Department of Home Affairs (DHA) and registered migration agents are licensed to give advice about immigration matters. It is significant that you read through the DHA website carefully.
You can apply for a further student visa in Australia if your current visa is not subject to a No Further Stay condition and you hold a pre-qualifying visa.
Undergraduate or postgraduate coursework students
Step 1
Obtain a new Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) using the online request form.
Step 2
Before you submit your visa application, please ensure that you renew your Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) if necessary, as OSHC must be valid to cover the entire period of your new expected visa.
Please note:
Your OSHC is not automatically extended with your new CoE. You should contact your OSHC provider for assistance with renewing your cover, if you have OSHC provided by BUPA, contact them directly to extend your policy.
OSHC is required longer than the course end on your CoE to cover the entire period of your stay in Australia.
To be granted a student visa to cover the additional time, you must have a valid OSHC in place. Student visa applicants are advised to consider how much OSHC to purchase, as the visa end date cannot be changed once granted.
We recommend you purchase OSHC for at least 2 additional months to cover the result release period of your course and to cover the entire period of your stay in Australia.
Please note, you may require OSHC for a few more months if your course finishes at the end of the academic year. For example, if you complete your course at the end of Trimester 2, your CoE will finish in November/December, therefore, you will be granted a visa until 15 March of the following year, provided you have OSHC until that date). This will cover the entire period of your stay in Australia.
Step 3
Prepare your supporting documentation. Use the Department of Home Affairs document checklist tool to check what you need to attach to your application. This may include:
Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE)
OSHC policy
Passport
Statement to satisfy the Genuine Temporary Entrant requirement
Evidence of financial capacity.
Step 4
Apply online to the Department of Home Affairs. You will be applying for a Student Visa subclass 500 visa.
You can submit an application yourself, or use a registered migration agent.
When you should renew your visa
You must hold a valid student visa while studying in Australia.
You will need to renew your visa if:
you cannot complete your course before the visa expiry date
you have submitted your postgraduate research thesis
you are going to commence a new course of study.
We recommend you apply to renew your student visa at least 6–8 weeks before it expires.
After you lodge your application
The Department of Home Affairs will send you an acknowledgement letter along with a copy of a bridging visa (for applicants in Australia only).
While your application is being assessed you should:
check the Health Assessment tab in your ImmiAccount to see if health examinations are required.
check your nominated email account regularly for correspondence from the Department of Home Affairs regarding the status of your application.

PAKISTANI APPLYING FOR AUSTRALIAN VISA
There are many reasons why you can complete your studies in Australia. Australia, in addition to the beauty of Sydney, the Great Crystal Reef, Gulf of Cook and Uluru, has an extraordinary educational system with thousands of courses and high degrees for you.If you previously decided to study in Australia and at a university or college, now you must complete your visa application. Australian immigration requirements
Tumblr media
What kind of visa can you apply for?
A number of student visa applications are currently available to students in Pakistan. What you need depends on the type of course you want to do. The existing visa is as follows: ELICOS Independent Visa (Common 570): This Visa allows you to study in Australia for a full-time English course for overseas students. Professional Education and Professional Schools (Section 572): This visa allows you to study in Australia and have full-time professional education. High School Student Visa (Infrastructure 573): This allows you to study in Australia to study full time education. If you are applying for a university or college, this is a visa that you are more likely to apply for. School Degree (Subclass 574): This allows you to study in Australia for postgraduate education. State Department or Department of Defense (Section 576): This allows you to study in Australia full time, but only if supported by the Australian Government. If you are not sure which of the above visas are required for you, you must visit the Australian Immigration Bureau website.
Are you eligible for a student visa?
Tumblr media
If you want to apply for higher education (subclause 573), you must obtain a bachelor's degree or a degree, a postgraduate diploma or a diploma, a master's degree or a master's degree in Australia. If you can not provide evidence of unconditional presence at the university, you are not eligible for this type of visa.
Financial Requirements: $ 550 to apply for each of the above visas. If you plan to go to Australia with another member of your family or your spouse, the extra visa fee is $ 410 ($ 135 if they are under the age of 18). You must also have proof of a sufficient amount to cover the costs of studying, traveling and living. If you are affiliated, you should also show evidence that you are able to pay for your living, regardless of whether you plan to travel to Australia.
English proficiency requirements: Applicants studying in Pakistan offer their English proficiency. Accepted tests include: IELTS, TOFEL iBT, Pearson English (PTE) Academic test and English Advanced English Test (CAE). You should be aware that the requirements of the English language are different depending on the period you want to pursue and the institution you are applying for, so you need to carefully check it.
Health requirements: Some students may be advised to have a medical and / or radiological examination to show them well in health. If you are told to do this, you must have an appointment with a doctor approved by the Australian Immigration Bureau. Students are required to purchase student insurance abroad (OSHC). You can purchase this cover through your university or directly from one of five approved: Australian Health Management, BUPA Australia, Medibank Private, Allianz Global Assistance, and OSHC Nib. The average OSHC cost per student is only $ 12 for $ 437 ($ 383).
Personality requirements: All students are also assessed according to the personality requirements determined by the Immigration Office. This includes a recorded record to make sure you do not have a significant criminal record. You may also need to obtain a formal official certificate (or a police certificate) or a police statement and you must complete a supplementary legal form.
Additional documents you must provide include: Australian and Australian Application Form (157A) • The cost of paying a visa • Copy of passport environmental information page (some students may be required to use a physical passport) • Certificate of registration or letter of offer
When should I apply?
All applications for student visas for Pakistani citizens (requested from Pakistan) must be managed by the Immigration and Border Management (DIBP) office in Adelaide, South Australia. Since 2013, student admittance to Adali has been provided directly from Pakistan. However, apps can reach their destination for up to seven days, and it's impossible to say how long it takes for the immigration board to reach your request.

Requirements You Need to Meet for Getting an Australian Student Visa!
Tumblr media
If you are interested in Australia and looking forward to pursuing higher education there, then you will need an Australian student visa (subclass 500). You must prove the Department of Home Affairs (DHA) that you fulfil the following Australia student visa requirements:
English Proficiency
Genuine Temporary Entrant Requirement
Financial Requirements
Health and Character
What is Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) Requirement?
Came into existence in November 2011, GTE requirements clarify that the student or visa applicant must be able to show a genuine intention to study in Australia. The DHA officials consider the below-mentioned factors:
The potential circumstances for you in the country
The state and situation of your home country
Your immigration history
The relevance of your chosen program to your future
Other relevant matters
To ascertain whether you meet the GTE requirements, you might be called for an interview at the Australian embassy or consulate.
English Requirements
Every international student coming from a non-English speaking country to study in Australia is subjected to prove his/her English language skills. There are several tests, such as IELTS, TOEFL, Pearson Test of English, and CAE to prove English speaking, writing, reading and listening skills. The score you will need depends more on whether you are doing a full degree, starting a foundation course or enroling in a preliminary ELICOS (English Language Intensive Course for Overseas Students).
Financial Requirements
To get an Australian student visa, you must produce a proof of sufficient funds to cover your fees, living and travel costs. If you have a family or dependents, you will need to show evidence of being able to cover travel and living costs for them as well.
In case you face any financial problems, you can consider government aides and scholarships offered by the Australian governments and universities. In most of the cases, a scholarship covers tuition fees, travel expenses and living costs.
Health Requirements
Some overseas students may be called for a medical checkup to check that they are in good health. If you are asked to do so, you will have to fix an appointment with a doctor approved by the Australian Immigration authorities.
All international students looking to study or make a career in Australia are obliged to buy OSHC (Overseas Student Health Cover). This cover can be bought through your institution, or directly from the five approved providers, including Medibank Private, nib OSHC, Allianz Global Assistance, BUPA Australia, and Australian Health Management.
Character Requirements
Authorities may ask you to submit a penal clearance certificate or a police statement to ensure that you don’t have a criminal record against you and you have a good character. Some students are often asked to fill a Character Statutory Declaration Form.
So these are the requirements that you must meet to get an Australian visa. To know more about why study in Australia, where to study, which university to choose, visa requirements, scholarship options etc., you can speak with an expert consultant at AECC Global.
An AECC Global consultant will offer complete information about the visa process, admission procedure, best courses, and career pathways. Contact an AECC Global expert today!

I'm fine, thank you了!
 最離奇的是一捆塑料尺,在eBay上一百把僅需6美元,在醫院卻可以賣到80.4美元,因為它們是「醫療耗材」;
同樣的,一台髖關節置換手術,美國平均花費4萬美元,西班牙平均花費7371美元;
僅僅是2007年,澳洲每戶人家看病只用花平均4177美元,而美國家庭得花2倍的價錢;
 ·全科醫生和專科醫生診療費;
·由醫生操作的醫學化驗檢查費,如X-光、病理檢查等;
·眼科醫生操作的眼科檢查;
·由醫生執行的大部分手術和治療;
·由政府批准的牙醫執行的部分牙科手術;
針對新州居民,呼叫費從364澳元起,每公里3.29澳元,總收費最高5971澳元服務費用;
(General Treatment Cover or Ancillary or Extras Cover),救護車保險(Ambulance Cover)的私人保險,

Applying for a Graduate 485 Visa? Here's 4 Very Things To Do To Avoid Refusal!
With the 15th of March closely approaching comes the expiration of thousands of Student visas accross Australia (i.e Migration D-DAY). Accordingly, we thought it would be useful to make a very quick summary four (4) very simple things that applicants must do before applying for their Graduate 485 visa. Importantly, the things we list below may seem small and insignificant, however in our experience, it is these small yet poorly undertstood requirements that gets international Students into the most trouble! 1. Sit Your English Test Unless you are fortunate enough to hold a passport from the UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand or Ireland, you must have sat an english test before you have made your Subclass 485 visa application. Importantly, it is acceptable if your results are issued after you have applied for your visa, so long as the date of your exam is before the date of your visa application. Keep in mind however that applying for the 485 without knowing your test scores does pose a risk. For example, if you recieve your test results after you have made your visa application and you have not scored the required score, you will be unable to have the 485 visa granted, even if you are able to achieve the required score whilst waiting for the 485 visa. The reason being is that you must meet the minimum score in a test sat before the visa has been applied for. 2. Apply For Your Australian Federal Police Clearance It is an important requirement that your Subclass 485 visa application be accompanied with an Australian Federal Police (AFP) National Police Check certificate (‘AFP Check’) that is less than 12 months old, or evidence that you have at least applied to obtain this clearance. This means that you can include in your visa application proof that you have applied for the AFP Check (for example - by attaching the receipt number of the AFP Check and payment receipt to confirm that you, and your family, have made attempts to obtain one). Accordingly, it is essential that you obtain an AFP Check for yourself AND each secondary applicant included in your Subclass 485 visa application, who is at least 16 years old. For example, if you are including dependents such as your partner, wife/husband or child (16+), you will need to obtain one for each. If it is just you who is applying for the visa, then only your own AFP Check is required. Failing to at least apply for an AFP for you and your family will lead to the refusal of the 485, even if you meet all other criteria!  Keep in mind that once you obtain the AFP Check, it is only valid for 12 months. So before lodging your Subclass 485 visa application, please make sure that your AFP Check is still valid, otherwise you will need to apply for a new clearance before applying for your 485 visa - as mentioned above.   Please feel free to read through our blog  ‘How to Apply for Visa Police Clearances’, on information on how to apply for the correct AFP before making your 485 visa application.   3. Apply for Adequate Health Insurance   When applying for the Subclass 485 visa, you must provide evidence that you and everyone included in your application has adequate health insurance in Australia.   You will need to provide any one of the following:
A signed letter from a health insurance provider outlining the level and range of health cover;
A Medicare card or receipt of enrolment with Medicare (if eligible);
If you are from a country with a reciprocal health care agreement with Australia and will be eligible for Medicare when you arrive here, evidence of adequate of health insurance, including travel insurance, to cover you until you enroll in Medicare.
  If you are currently holding a valid student visa, you may provide evidence of your current Overseas Student Health Cover (‘OSHC’) policy. Please note that OSHC policies are only valid at the time of applying for the visa. So basically, this means that whilst you can apply for the Subclass 485 visa with your current OSHC, when your student visa expires OR when the case officer is ready to make a decision on your Subclass 485 visa application, your OSHC policy ceases as you are no longer classified as a student visa holder.   Consequently, this means that you will need to obtain non-OSHC insurance immediately to meet the health requirements of your Subclass 485 visa application, due to your OSHC no longer being valid. Non-OSHC insurance is just normal overseas visitor health cover.   If your student visa is still valid at the time of decision (that is, when the case officer is ready to grant your Subclass 485 visa), and you have not obtained a non-OSHC health insurance policy, the case officer will request one from you.   To help you understand the OSHC process from Student Visa to the Subclass 485 visa, here is an example:   If you are currently covered by an OSHC until 15 March (also when your student visa expires), and you lodge your Subclass 485 visa application in February (prior to the expiry date of the OSHC), you must obtain adequate non-OSHC health insurance cover that commences from 16 March when your bridging visa commences.   If your Subclass 485 visa is granted prior to the expiry date of your student visa (that is, 15 March), you must obtain a non-OSHC health insurance cover immediately (because you are no longer classified as a student visa holder). In this circumstance, the case officer will contact you to request evidence (if you have not already done so) to prove that you have non-OSHC health insurance cover prior to finalising the visa application.   If you have not arranged adequate health insurance at this stage, we would like to refer you to BUPA Health Insurance, to obtain 5% off BUPA Health Insurance policies, which are designed to ensure that migrants meet the cover thresholds and visa conditions required by the Department of Immigration & Border Protection.   4. Apply Within 6 Months of Finishing Your Course (Australian Study Requirement)   There has been much confusion for some recent graduates in determining when the start date begins for the deadline to ‘apply within 6 months of finishing your course’ (Australian Study Requirement).   To clarify on this, the start or critical date, is the date on which the results of your final exams or notice of completion of the course were made available or published. This is the date which triggers the 6 month period during which you may apply for the Subclass 485 visa.   In particular, evidence of this completion date could be notification of final exam results:
in a letter addressed to you;
on the Internet;
in a newspaper; or
on the educational institutions bulletin board.
  It is also extremely important to note that although a degree or certificate generally shows the date of the award or conferral, that information is not relevant to this situation. For the purposes of satisfying this Australian Study Requirement, evidence is required of the date of completion of the course, not the date of when the degree was awarded to you.   To highlight the importance of this point, here is an example:   Your transcript or certificate states:   “Admitted to the degree of Bachelor of Business on 18 May 2016”   You may mistakenly assume that your degree was completed on this date, therefore your 6 month time frame starts from this date.   Though, it is quite likely that your qualification was completed the preceding November/December (2015). This is usually the date when you would have completed your course, and when the critical date starts, for you to calculate your Australian Study Requirement of applying within 6 months of finishing your course.   However, if you have really did in fact complete your degree on 18 May 2016 (and not being conferred or awarded on that date), then you will need to provide evidence. This can occur when you were required take a supplementary exam or similar. To confirm then, you must apply within 6 months of completing your course, not necessarily the date of your graduation or the dates listed on your qualificaiton certificate so be very careful!   If you require the assistance of a Migration Agent in Brisbane today, then feel free to contact us on 1300 644 788 or leave your questions here. Applying for a Graduate 485 Visa? Here’s 4 Very Things To Do To Avoid Refusal!
1. Sit Your English Test
Unless you are fortunate enough to hold a passport from the UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand or Ireland, you must have sat an english test before you have made your Subclass 485 visa application.
2. Apply For Your Australian Federal Police Clearance
It is an important requirement that your Subclass 485 visa application be accompanied with an Australian Federal Police (AFP) National Police Check certificate (‘AFP Check’) that is less than 12 months old, or evidence that you have at least applied to obtain this clearance. This means that you can include in your visa application proof that you have applied for the AFP Check (for example – by attaching the receipt number of the AFP Check and payment receipt to confirm that you, and your family, have made attempts to obtain one).
So before lodging your Subclass 485 visa application, please make sure that your AFP Check is still valid, otherwise you will need to apply for a new clearance before applying for your 485 visa – as mentioned above.
A signed letter from a health insurance provider outlining the level and range of health cover;
A Medicare card or receipt of enrolment with Medicare (if eligible);
In particular, evidence of this completion date could be notification of final exam results:
in a letter addressed to you;
on the Internet;
in a newspaper; or
on the educational institutions bulletin board.
