#Backdated untagged

ok new personal rule any donation posts from a generic looking blog thats like 90% untagged reblogs from aesthetic blogs (especially if theyre backdated to hide that they were all posted on the same day) and 10% spamming a donation post, will be assumed to be a scam, especially if im sent an ask afterward to reblog the post with a copypasted message that was sent to multiple other people to reblog it again (after i already reblogged it). sorry. i dont trust like that.

How do you recognize that a post has been backdated? Especially on mobile

Turn on timestamps (it’s under dashboard settings) and check ‘other notes’ of a post to see if the reblog matches the date there. My screenshots are from mobile. I’ve only seen this from untagged reblogs.

Like here, the supposed date of the reblogged post doesn’t match the date it has on other notes part. You can only see this if the blog isn’t shadowbanned (which hides the account from any notes). Tapping the user leads to the backdated post.

On occasion some users may horribly fail at backdating posts by making posts reblogged before the og post even existed.

Changing the post date of reblog doesn’t change the date it’ll show in the notes. You’ll only see this if you are using timestamps.

Hello, yes, I’m still around, lol. Real life and other concerns have kept me from Tumblr, but I should slowly be coming back to handle my fandom blogs. I’ll be going through general maintenance of this blog, tagging untagged posts, etc. You might see some spam here or there as I post and backdate to fill up the days/weeks/months I missed. Thank you to anyone still following this blog! haha There's been a lot of IU content I've missed while I've been gone and content coming up (🍓🌙). It will take some time to catch up, but everything should hopefully go back to working order by the beginning of November.

Joon Gi has great timing though since he announced his new project yesterday, right when time has finally freed up for me. He will be starring in Again My Life, expected to air next year in April (1). I’ll be going through general maintenance of this blog, tagging untagged posts, etc. You might see some spam here or there as I post and backdate to fill up the days/weeks/months I missed.
