Unveiling the Secrets of Anti-Aging Skin Care: The Power of Growth Factor Skincare and the Best Under Eye Creams
Introduction:
As we strive for youthful, radiant skin, anti-aging skincare has become a prominent topic. In the quest for effective solutions, growth factor skincare and the best under eye creams have emerged as remarkable allies. This article explores the benefits of growth factors and recommends top-notch under eye creams for a comprehensive anti-aging skincare regimen.
Understanding Anti-Aging Skin Care:
Anti-aging skincare involves a range of practices and products designed to combat the signs of aging, such as fine lines, wrinkles, and sagging skin. Among the various approaches, growth factor skincare has gained significant attention. Growth factors are naturally occurring proteins that stimulate cell growth and promote the production of collagen and elastin. By enhancing the skin's regenerative processes, growth factor skincare can help minimize the appearance of wrinkles and restore a youthful complexion.
Tumblr media
Harnessing the Power of Growth Factor Skincare:
The use of growth factor skincare products can deliver remarkable anti-aging benefits. These products typically contain concentrated growth factors derived from sources like stem cells or plant extracts. When applied topically, growth factors penetrate the skin and bind to receptors, triggering cellular renewal and collagen synthesis. Regular use of growth factor skincare can lead to smoother, firmer, and more youthful-looking skin. It is advisable to consult with a dermatologist or skincare professional to determine the most suitable growth factor products for individual needs.
Revitalizing the Under Eye Area with the Best Creams:
The delicate skin under the eyes is prone to fine lines, puffiness, and dark circles, making it a key focus for anti-aging efforts. The market offers a plethora of under eye creams that specifically target these concerns. The best under eye creams often contain ingredients like retinol, hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, and peptides, which work synergistically to hydrate, firm, and brighten the under eye area. It is essential to choose products that are gentle, non-irritating, and suitable for the individual's skin type to achieve optimal results.
Tumblr media
Conclusion:
In the realm of anti-aging skincare, growth factor skincare and the best under eye creams play pivotal roles in restoring and maintaining youthful skin. By harnessing the power of growth factors and utilizing effective under eye creams, individuals can enjoy a comprehensive approach to combatting the signs of aging and embracing a more youthful and radiant complexion.

2: UNWELCOME DISTANCE
Previous chapter < MASTERLIST > Next chapter
Dinner with Bucky didn't go as well as you planned and now you're suffering from the outcome of being ditched in an autumn thunderstorm.
Word count: 3.2k
Warning: feelings of betrayal, shitty communications skills, illness (upper respiratory tract infection) description, Coney Island and cotton candy, jealousy, Bucky... Barnes is a warning
Tumblr media
The following morning, you woke up feeling a little worse for wear. You buried your face in your pillow willing the tickle in your throat and at the back of your nose to disappear. A small groan left your lips as your attempt to sleep in was thwarted by the aching throughout your body. Sitting up did little to make you feel better, other than shifting the balance of mucus in your sinuses, making you sneeze and worsening the scratchiness of your throat. You looked up at the clock, you’d missed the breakfast time that you were expected to attend, but there weren’t any messages on your phone expressing concern from your friends.
A throb of self pity and doubt flashed through your mind. Did any of them even care? You had lost Bucky to another woman, but clearly none of your other friends had noticed your absence. You weren’t special, you’d only been invited to join the Avengers Initiative because of your powers. The thoughts were just forming, your mind ready to spiral into a storm of insecurity, when there was a knock at your door. Each movement felt like wading through molasses, and even sitting up seemed like an insurmountable task.
"Cricket?" Steve’s voice permeated into the room.
"Coming!" At least that was what you tried to say, your voice coming out as a small croak. You padded over to the door barefoot and opened the door to find Steve’s kind face looking down at you.
His concern was etched across his features as he took in your disheveled appearance. Dark circles clung to your eyes, and your skin had lost its usual healthy hue.
"Hey there, sunshine," he greeted, his voice gentle. "How’re you feeling?"
There was only one word that would succinctly sum up your emotional and physical state in that moment. "Shit," you mumbled, sniffing at the fluid that was threatening to leak from your nose.
He reached out, his hand cool against your feverish skin. His touch was comforting, grounding you in the midst of your misery. "You definitely have a fever," he confirmed.
As if to affirm his observation, your body pitched forwards in a violent sneeze, which you barely had the time to catch with the inside of your elbow. You ended the outburst with a pained groan, as the back of your throat burned.
Steve’s concern deepened. "You need rest," he said firmly, steering you back into bed. "I’ll make you some tea."
You followed his instructions without protest, not having the energy to argue. It would be best for you to stay in bed, you’d get better quicker with rest, and it was a great excuse to avoid seeing your best friend and his girlfriend. The practical side of you would use the excuse that you didn’t want to expose anyone to your germs. At least Steve would be protected by the serum, so you didn’t need to worry about him hanging around. So with a clear conscience, you snuggled back under your covers to wait for Steve’s return.
As he disappeared towards the kitchen, you sank back into your pillows. Maybe losing Bucky wasn’t the end of the world. Maybe having a friend like Steve was enough—a warm presence in the midst of your feverish chaos. And as the wind whistled outside, you realized that sometimes, friendship was the best medicine of all.
Little did you know that on his way to the kitchen, Steve ran into Bucky as he was leaving your room.
"Steve?" Bucky called after his friend.
"Hey, Buck."
"What’re you doing?" The real question he wanted to ask was ‘why are you leaving Cricket’s room?’.
"Just grabbing some things for Cricket. She isn’t feeling very well."
"What?" Bucky’s eyebrows furrowed with concern. "She was fine yesterday!"
"Well if you hadn’t left her alone to get drenched in that storm, she probably wouldn’t be so miserable." Steve hadn’t meant to be so harsh with his words, but you had interrupted his beauty sleep the previous night and he was feeling rather disgruntled.
"What’re you trying to say, Steve?
"You shouldn’t have left it so long to tell her." Steve was referring to Priya and how long he'd kept his relationship with her private.
"That’s my decision, Steve." Bucky countered, defensively.
"I know. But maybe you should think about why you were so ready to tell me, but not Cricket."
Bucky clicked his tongue against the roof of mouth, dismissing Steve's comments. "I'm gonna go and see her."
Steve thought about objecting, but decided against it, opting to fetch the things he had promised you.
Bucky’s footsteps echoed down the narrow hallway, each one a heavy reminder of his own recklessness. The storm had raged outside, rain pelting against the window panes like a thousand tiny fists. But he hadn’t been there to shield you from it. Instead, he’d left you alone, vulnerable, and now guilt gnawed at him like a persistent rat.
Your room was dimly lit, the curtains drawn shut against the gray morning. Bucky hesitated at the threshold, his knuckles grazing the wooden doorframe. He’d never been good with words, especially when it came to matters of the heart. But he had to try.
"Cricket?" His voice was soft, almost tentative. He stepped inside, the floorboards creaking under his weight. There you were, cocooned in blankets, your face pale against the pillows. The storm had taken its toll on you, and he cursed himself for not being there.
You stirred, eyelashes fluttering open. "Bucky?" Your voice was a whisper, fragile like a spider’s silk. "What’re you doing here?"
He crossed the room in two strides, perching on the edge of your bed. "I… I heard you weren’t feeling well." His fingers brushed against your forehead, checking for fever. "Steve told me."
You managed a weak smile. "Steve’s a tattletale."
"He cares about you," Bucky said gruffly. "We both do."
"I feel bad for dragging him out of bed last night."
"Cricket, why didn't you tell me you didn't have any way to get back home. I would have brought a car instead of my bike."
You shrugged, “I didn’t think I had to.”
He had been so caught up in his plans to introduce you to Priya that he hadn’t even considered the possibility that you might need a ride home. He had assumed you would find your own way, and he was just starting to realize how selfish that had been. He should have been more attentive, more caring. He laid a hand on your arm, “I’m sorry, Cricket. I should have been more thoughtful. I wasn’t thinking.”
“Yeah, I got that.”
“Cricket, please, let me make it up to you. I was looking for you this morning. I made your favorite pancakes," Bucky continued. "Thought you could come and have breakfast with me and Priya, before I take her home."
"Sorry," you shrugged, hating this conversation more and more. Why was Steve taking so long to return?
"I was going to spend the day with her, but if you want, I can come back and we can watch some movies."
"Don't cancel your plans on my account." You rolled over, facing away from Bucky.
Your behavior stung, but he couldn't blame you for being angry. He swallowed hard, the lump in his throat threatening to choke him. "I’m sorry," he whispered. "For leaving you out there."
"See you later," you mumbled and Bucky knew he had been dismissed.
Bucky couldn't shake the guilt that weighed heavily on his chest as he walked away. He had always been a good friend, someone who looked out for others and made sure they were taken care of. But in his excitement to introduce you to Priya, he had neglected to consider your needs.
As he walked away, Bucky couldn't stop replaying the conversation in his head. He had let you down, and he wanted to make things right.
Steve appeared a few moments after his departure, his arms laden with homely remedies and a bowl of soup which smelled incredible. Your stomach rumbled hungrily in response, making you blush.
"Here, take this first," Steve shoved a bottle of DayQuil under your nose.
Begrudgingly, you accepted the painkiller gratefully and then proceeded to slurp up the soup. "This is delicious," you hummed in approval.
"Hey, when you're feeling a bit better, I was thinking I could take you out somewhere… cheer you up a little." Steve stuttered towards the end as he saw surprise on your face.
You swallowed your mouthful of soup before cracking a smile. “Steve, I'd like that.”
Steve smiled back at you. But suddenly, he reached out, grabbing the bowI in your hands, having noticed the slight hitch in your breath. A sneeze rocked your body forcefully and you groaned.
“Thanks,” you accepted the bowl back from Steve.
"No problem. Don't want to make a mess."
“No,” you sighed, finishing the soup in a sad silence.
“Want me to stay?”
“No, it's okay. I'm just going to go back to sleep.”
Steve took the empty dishes and kissed your forehead, glad that it didn't feel as warm as it had earlier. “Feel better, champ.”
You sure hoped you would.
*
A few days later, you were back in fighting form. But much to Bucky's chagrin, he could never seem to catch your attention for more than a passing nod or wave. He wanted to make things right with you. He missed you, he wasn’t used to being so close to you but not being able to talk to you properly. He had the sneaking suspicion that your distance might not just be ill-timed schedules. Were you avoiding him? He wondered if you were still angry at him for not giving you a ride back home after your dinner with Priya. A feeling of melancholy settled over him as he speculated on all the things he could have done that made you take a step away from him. Every reason under the sun spiraled through Bucky’s mind except the real reason for your withdrawal.
Bucky had hoped that meeting someone else, someone who was interested in him would help him push away the feelings he had for you. Closure. That’s what they called it in the movies these days. But this didn’t seem like it was going quite the way he had anticipated. In fact, rather than feeling happier, he felt more tortured than he had before. Maybe going out with Priya would take his mind off things, so he decided to give her a call and schedule a date, she had a way of soothing his turbulent thoughts. Not as well as you did, no one understood him quite like you did.
*
Steve was true to his word, and had whipped up a surprise plan for the two of you to spend the day together. He had chosen a Wednesday, explaining that it was a good time as the place would be less busy. He made sure you had dressed warmly, in spite of the sunny weather.
"Don’t want you getting ill again," he smiled as you got into the car with him.
"Is that why we’re not taking the bike?"
Steve shook his head, knowing how much you loved riding motorcycles.
"So where are you taking me?" you asked. You’d been trying to get Steve to tell you for the last few days, but the tight lipped Captain had resisted all your wily techniques at information extraction.
"Coney Island."
"Ohh!" you exclaimed. "I haven’t been there for years!" You laughed before a thought popped into your head, a memory. "Are you sure you want to go there, Steve?"
"Why wouldn’t I want to go to Coney Island?"
"Well, I heard about… the… Cyclone Incident."
Steve blushed. "Bucky telling everyone that story, huh?"
"Afraid so." Your smile was soured slightly by the shadow casted by Bucky’s name and you turned to stare out of the window, letting Steve drive in silence.
Steve shook his head. He wanted nothing more than for both his best friends to be happy, and for the two of you to be happy together was the ultimate goal. He hoped that one day both of you would come to your senses, but until then, he would do his best to support you both.
The weather turned out to be fine and you had shed your top layer before even leaving the car.
"Oh come on! Stop being such a dad! We can always come back to the car if it gets chilly!" you responded to Steve’s disapproval.
"Come on then!"
It was a beautiful day filled with laughter and joy between you and Steve. He was glued to your side, treating you to all the rides, indulging you when you wanted to ride the Cyclone repeatedly. Every time you got to the end of the ride, you’d turn to him and make sure he wouldn’t spill his guts. Steve rolled his eyes dramatically as you laughed hysterically.
"What next?" Steve asked. "And don’t tell me we’re doing that again."
"Come on, the girl letting people in definitely has a crush on you! Why do you think we got on for free the last two times?"
Steve grabbed your wrist, "Come on!" He led you away from the rides, over to a cotton candy kiosk, dropping a few notes into the vendor's hand and selecting two cones. You took the liberty of grabbing the blue one from his hand and tucking into it before he had the chance to object.
"Bet I can eat this faster than you can!" Steve suggested slyly.
"Oh, bring it, Rogers!" You tore the stick out of the candy cloud and scrunched it up into a tiny ball, sticking it in your mouth and letting the sugar dissolve on its own.
Steve, who had taken several large bites, looked up in confusion and awe. He eyed your empty hands, then put his finger on your bottom lip, pushing it down and peering into your mouth.
You indulged his disbelief, opening your mouth and sticking out your tongue. "See, all gone! I win!" you smile with glee.
"Wow!"
"You forget, I was the youngest of five! I had to learn to eat fast or I’d lose out."
Steve chortled quietly at your story. "Fine, what do you want as your prize?" He waved around at all the game stalls, letting you pick your prize.
You gazed around, contemplating your options when you spotted a giant stuffed wolf. "That one!"
Steve was true to his word and threw every bean bag with perfect aim and you pointed at a white plushie which looked a little different to the others.
"Why don’t you take this one?" the vendor tried to shove a dark gray wolf into your arms, but you declined.
"No thank you, I’d like that one please." You selected one which had been stuffed on a high shelf, away from the others of its kind.
"Honey, this one’s going in the garbage, look at him, white body with one gray leg. It’s a defective product, they made a mistake in the factory. Happens from time to time."
But you were adamant, you wanted the white wolf with the transplanted leg.
"Whatever you want, miss." The vendor handed you the soft toy, which you hugged to your chest. There was something about him that you wanted to keep safe.
Unbeknownst to you, you had been spotted by someone unexpected. Bucky had had a similar thought to Steve, he had brought Priya to the ‘island’ on a quiet weekday for some harmless fun.
"Jamie, look!" Priya tugged at his sleeve. "Isn't that Cricket and Steve?"
Bucky's head whipped around so fast, he almost had empathy for whiplash sufferers. He frowned, eye searching the crowd in the direction of Priya’s outstretched hand. He couldn't believe that you would come here with Steve. He had often suggested a trip to Coney Island to you, but you'd never managed to make the time for it. So seeing you here with Steve made his insides burn with jealousy. Another part of him, his guilt-ridden conscience told him that he didn't deserve you. Naturally, you'd choose the classical hero, Steve. He was the golden boy, even when they'd been kids, Steve was the trouble maker, but somehow Bucky was the one his parents mistrusted.
"Yeah," he grumbled.
"Let's go over and say hi!"
"I'm sure they don't want us to interrupt them." Bucky vetoed the suggestion with a sulky expression.
"Fair, I mean I wouldn't want anyone interrupting our date either." Priya smiled, taking Bucky's hand, leading him away. Bucky stole one last glance at his two best friends, a deep ache settling inside him as Priya dragged him away from you.
*
Over the next week, you and Bucky drifted through the compound, both longing for the other but not quite able to find it within yourselves to seek the other out. For you, it was a simple matter of avoidance. You'd made the mistake of touching the flame and now you suffered the burn. But for Bucky it was different. He couldn't understand your absence and he knew nothing of your pain.
He could feel the frustration building up inside him, until one day he caught you returning to your room. And every one of his thoughts and accusations came pouring out.
"What is it? Why’re you upset with me?" Bucky demanded.
"I’m not upset… it’s not- I’m hurt. You hurt me. It’s not that you did something wrong. In fact you haven’t done anything wrong. It’s just that I thought you’d share something big, like dating, with me. But you kept it secret. For four months! I thought we told each other everything. I … I just expected-" you shrugged. "And that’s the problem here. My expectations were wrong, and I’m ashamed. But you didn’t do anything wrong. You have nothing to apologize for. But somehow I feel like I’m going to lose you."
"You’ll never lose me, Cricket."
"But Buck, I already have. Like she said… she’s your best friend now." Bucky opened his mouth to interrupt, but you put your hand out to stop him talking. "I just need some time to deal with that. Is that okay?"
"I didn’t mean to hurt you," he mumbled. The sincerity evident in his tone and face.
"I know, Buck," you sighed. "I know. I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to make you feel guilty. Please, I want you to be happy. I’m happy for you."
"Please, let me make this up to you." Bucky grabbed your wrist, desperately.
"You can do that by making sure you take care of yourself. I’m always going to be with you, on missions and stuff, partner," you patted his upper arm. "I just think that our friendship’s going to change a little… and I just need some time to get used to that."
"Is this because of Steve?"
"Steve?" you repeated after him, feeling confused by the change in topic. "What does Steve have to do with this?"
"Are you together?"
"What? No! Bucky, why would you think that?"
"I just…" He shrugged, not quite able to bring up seeing you at Coney Island, or the moment of closeness you had had with Steve the night he had introduced you to Priya.

The sun had just set, painting the sky in hues of pink and orange. Kenan and I had just finished dinner, and now it was time to unwind and enjoy our evening routine. It was one of my favorite parts of the day – a time to relax after a busy day.
"Ready for our night routine?" I asked, smiling at Kenan as I gathered the skincare products from our bathroom cabinet.
Kenan grinned, his eyes twinkling with mischief. "Ready as I'll ever be," he said, following me into the bathroom.
"You know, I never thought I'd get into skincare until I met you."
I laughed, playfully nudging him. "Well, it's important to take care of your skin, and besides, it's our little bonding time."
Kenan leaned against the sink, watching as I set out the various creams, serums, and masks. "So, what's on the agenda tonight, skincare guru?"
"First, we cleanse," I said, handing him a gentle cleanser. "This helps get rid of all the dirt and oils from the day."
Kenan took the bottle, squeezing some of the cleanser into his hands before rubbing it onto his face. "Like this?" he asked, looking a bit unsure.
"Perfect," I said, joining him at the sink. "Now we rinse."
We both leaned over the sink, splashing water on our faces and rinsing off the cleanser.
Kenan turned to me, his face dripping wet, and grinned. "I feel so refreshed already."
I giggled, handing him a towel. "Good, because we’re just getting started."
After drying our faces, I grabbed a toner and a cotton pad, gently swiping it across Kenan’s face.
"This helps to balance your skin’s pH and tighten pores," I explained.
Kenan closed his eyes, enjoying the gentle touch. "You know so much about this stuff," he murmured. "I’m lucky to have you."
I felt a warm blush rise to my cheeks. "And I’m lucky to have you," I said softly. "Now, for the fun part – serum."
I squeezed a few drops of serum into my palms, warming it up before patting it onto Kenan’s skin.
"This helps to hydrate and brighten your skin," I said, watching as he closed his eyes and relaxed under my touch.
"This feels nice," Kenan said, his voice almost a whisper. "I could get used to this every night."
I smiled, finishing up with the serum and moving on to the moisturizer. "Good, because you’re not getting out of it," I teased, applying the moisturizer in gentle, circular motions.
Kenan chuckled, opening his eyes to look at me. "Not that I’d want to," he said, his eyes filled with affection. "I love this time we spend together."
"Me too," I admitted, feeling a surge of love for him. "Now, the last step – eye cream."
I dabbed a small amount of eye cream onto my ring finger, gently patting it under Kenan’s eyes. "This helps to reduce puffiness and dark circles," I said, smiling as he sighed in contentment.
"You really know how to pamper a guy," Kenan said, his eyes sparkling.
"Only the best for you," I replied, leaning in to kiss his cheek.
After finishing our skincare routine, we headed to the bedroom, slipping into our comfy pajamas.
Kenan pulled back the covers, patting the spot next to him. "Come here," he said, his voice warm and inviting.
I crawled into bed beside him, snuggling up against his chest. "This is my favorite part of the day," I admitted, feeling the steady rhythm of his heartbeat.
"Mine too," Kenan said, wrapping his arms around me. "I love ending the day with you in my arms."
We lay there in comfortable silence for a few moments, just enjoying each other’s presence.
Then, Kenan broke the silence with a chuckle. "So, what’s the plan for tomorrow?"
I smiled, tracing small circles on his chest. "Well, I thought we could start with breakfast in bed, and then maybe a walk in the park if the weather’s nice”
Kenan nodded, his eyes closing as he relaxed. "That sounds perfect," he said softly. "As long as I’m with you, it’ll be perfect."
I felt a warm glow in my chest at his words. "I love you, Kenan," I whispered, kissing his chest.
"I love you too, sweetheart," he replied, his voice filled with tenderness. "Goodnight, my love."
"Goodnight," I whispered back, closing my eyes and letting the warmth of his embrace lull me to sleep.

He doesn’t believe in flashy skincare, thinking it needs to be convenient, gentle and affordable. Think of brands like Cerave, Cetaphil, and La Roche Posay. He’ll probably have a trusted cleanser he’s been using for years (centuries?), a reliable serum, maybe retinoid based (gotta use something anti-aging at this stage) and a good, hydrating moisturizer (illness makes his skin dry and he hates looking that way).
Byakuya Kuchiki:
Can and will only buy the best of the best. A skincare snob. Even if there’s an amazing drugstore brand, he refuses to use it. SK II, Tatcha, and La Mer are all you’ll find in his bathroom cabinet. Of course he follows the 7 step Korean skincare routine. Cleanse twice, toner, essence, serum, moisturizer eye cream. Adds a sunscreen if he plans on going out. He will not compromise his routine for anything, so be prepared to wait for him as he goes through this process everyday, twice.
Renji Abarai:
He’ll pretend like he doesn’t do any skincare but he has his little stash of items he uses for self-indulgence. He enjoys wearing face masks (thanks to Rukia), which he applies after using a cleanser that’s trending, like from Tula or Drunk Elephant. The man somehow has balanced skin so he’ll use an everyday moisturizer like the Clinique Moisture Surge.
Kensei Muguruma:
He uses his body wash as face wash, and whatever body moisturizer he has on hand he uses on his face too. What’s the point after all? It’s skin. As long as it’s clean and not cracking, there isn’t a problem.
Mayuri Kurotsuchi:
He creates his own skincare but it’s kind of questionable. He claims his skin can tolerate quite a lot, so his skincare always has heavy amounts of acids in it; glycolic acid, salicylic acid, ascorbic acid. Top this off with a heavy dosage retinol. Does it work? We may never know from all the makeup he uses on his face. At least he removes all of it before sleeping (?).
Kisuke Urahara:
He also makes his own concoctions, but in a much less dramatic way than Mayuri. Grows his own ingredients, like oranges for vitamin C, mint for salicylic acid, and carrots for retinol. Think of his products like a  clean, organic skincare line that he wouldn’t sell to anyone unless he’s happy with it himself. He rarely buys commercially available products but the one thing he will spend his money on is sheet masks, they’re convenient and he honestly finds them tedious to make on his own.
Shinji Hirako:
He may not show it, but this man is very self conscious about his appearance. He has a mix of both popular and indie skin care brands. Think Belif, Youth to the People and Drunk Elephant. He probably regularly cleanses and uses a moisturizer, maybe something with vitamin C in it, since he can’t have people seeing the dark circles under his eyes.
Ichigo Kurosaki:
Essence? Toner? Serums? Isn’t a cleanser just soap? Give him some bar soap and a CeraVe moisturizer. He doesn’t have time to figure this shit out. There’s people that need to be saved and stuff.
Rose Otoribashi:
Yes, he knows the difference between a toner and an essence. He also thinks essences are a gimmick. Give him a balancing cleanser for his oily skin, and a toner with some salicylic acid in it to further help the oil. Add a vitamin C serum and a lightweight moisturizer and he’s ready to rock.

👉🏻👈🏻 Can you go into your skin care routine a little bit as in what order you apply things and how long in between applying products (like is it immediately or do you wait 5 mins to let the first stuff dry/sink in before the next product)?
I get so lost with skin care that I get discouraged and then dont so anything.
oh god this is probably gonna be really long but,
so for the pm- Basically with most of the humectant (moisturizing stuff) you wanna apply that as soon as you get out of the shower and in quick succession so that any water and moisture can get absorbed into the skin and not just evaporate. assuming you shower at night like a sane person this should be your first step when you get out of the shower, you can not wipe off your face with your towl to keep your face damp for longer, i usually don't even wait to put on my pj's before i sit infront of my little skincare stack and start to slap stuff on my face.
the first batch is stuff like the cosrx snail mucin, cosrx glactanomicies ferment filtrate and hyaluronic acid (you'll see a lot of people tell you that 'the ordinary' one is bad but tbh it's fine and cheap, but a good option is also the one from good molecules, neither of them are more than 10$).
if you do not shower at night or wait to long and your skin gets dry, then you want to preface all of your skincare with some sort of toner; the lineage cream skin is absolutely amazing- especially if you have redness and inflamed skin- it is a little bit pricey but tbh most toners run in the 15-30 per 60oz range. these can last you up to 6 months. my leniege one was actually a gift from a follower for my last birthday and i've been using it very sparingly. i immediately follow it up with snail mucin, hyaluronic acid, or something light and hydrating, this is the first barrier of skincare that kind of cushions your skin if you plan on using an actives.
You want to sandwich all of the stuff that dries out your skin from acne, takes care of your fine lines and wrinkles, or chemically exfoliates your skin between your serum and cream. now is when you get into the waiting- when you start to apply your actives.
Actives are stuff like retinols/retinoids, aha's or lactic acids, bha's or glycolic acids, salicylic acids, and niacinamide. these are things that can damage your skin if improperly used. for me- aha's feel a little less damaging than glycolic acids. aha's and bha's are generally a once a week thing especially if you're just starting out. niacinamide help with sebum and clogged pores as well as pigmentation issues, salicilic acid is also something that kinda helps keep your skin sterile from acne causing bacteria, if you have sensitive skin introduce these very very slowly, start with niacinamide and work your way up. i apply niacinimide almost every day and everything else as needed.
next you have your eye cream- it can change based on what you want to solve, if you have fat loss around your eye (ie deep set eyebags like mine) you want to use stuff thats going to thicken the skin faster- staying away from stuff that decreases blood flow like caffeine, if you have dark circles- you want stuff that has brightening agents. if you have fine lines- then eye patches (mini eye face masks basically) and a super hydrating undereye cream will help. i tend to lean for the hydrating stuff. because i have dry under eyes, fine lines, and fat loss.
the ones ive tried are the cosrx snail peptide eye cream, the beauty of jeoseon ginsent and retinal eye cream, the mizon snail repair eye cream, the purito green level eye cream, the haru haru wonder cream the inky list retinol and caffine eye creams, the good molecules, yerba mate wake up eye gel, and the milky dress wrinkle and whitening eye cream. the ONLY ONES that i saw ANY difference with are the good molecules, milky dress, and haruharu, but the one from good molecules is adequate under makeup and the best by far and cheapest.
fat loss is one of the main reasons why you want to stay away from things like lash growth serums, there are some that claim to not cause fat loss, but tbh, seeing as the only way to fix it is via invasive cosmetic surgery- i wouldn't risk it. it's not worth it.
Next i go in with a cream. and then acne gel over top and then you're done!
So basically
shower
Toner,
hyaluronic acid/serum/hydrator
wait until skincare has absorbed,
Apply actives if you desire actives to fix issues, wait inbetween each application so that the skincare has time to sit and soak in,
You can apply your eye cream at the same time as these steps, because usually actives should not go around the eye area.
Cream, no need to wait
Acne treatment
hope that helps! i have to start my workout now~~~ good luck!

I promised the second part of this little fantasy/heist story I've created, so here it is. Like I said before, I won't be actively contributing to this story anymore, but I wanted to edit what I've written so far in order to share it.
Hope you enjoy <3 (also read the first part here)
content warning for gore and suicide mention
Ezra
“Hey Ezzie.” The door squeaked shut. Ezra ignored the shuffle of footsteps and scowled.
“I told you to stop calling me that.” She reorganized the vials and medical serums covering the table, again.
Lenny stopped to perch at her side. “Is she...doing any better?”
Ezra stopped her mindless idling and sighed. “Tomorrow’s the last day,” she said in a small voice.
“Oh,” he replied in an even smaller voice.
Ezra sniffed, suddenly overcome by the enormous effort it took to keep tears out of her eyes. “What if I can’t save her, Lenny?” Her voice broke and she stifled a sob. Then another.
As soon as that happened, there were comforting hands on her shoulders, pulling her into a hug. Lenny shushed her. “Don’t think like that, Ez. You’re the best healer I know.”
Despite her feelings, Ezra chuckled weakly, healer my ass.
She felt the walls inside her crumble, tears flowing out of her eyes like a raging river. She sobbed into Lenny’s shirt, deep, ugly wails. Lenny’s hands made soothing circles down her back, and, eventually, she felt herself relax.
“Lenny, if I don’t wake her up, do you think James would throw me out, too?”
Lenny pulled away and scowled. “If James wants to continue being the asshole he is and throw you out next, then poison him good, alright?”
Ezra laughed, “Lenny! What if he hears you!”
“What would he do? Throw me into the dungeons for committing high treason against his Royal Highness?”
Ezra laughed again and wiped her eyes. She sniffled. “You should go to sleep, it’s going to be dawn soon.”
“And what about you?”
She shook her head. “I need to save Luna first.”
“Ezra-” Lenny cut himself off with a sigh, “just don’t overextend yourself, okay?”
She nodded as he left the room, and Ezra followed to make sure the door was shut tight. Once the hardwood was locked, she slid down onto the floor, too exhausted to stand.
Ezra wanted to scream and cry, out of despair yes, but mostly frustration. Luna had, at best, forty-eight hours to live, and she would work tirelessly through every one of those in order to get her back.
James
James snuck back into the abandoned manor house, simultaneously grateful to not meet anyone on his way, but also disappointed with the patrolling work of his gang.
He was barefoot, his trousers ripped to the knees and the remnants of his shirt laying in tatters across his chest. He didn’t even know what had become of his jacket. He found his was to his office, a room no one else would dare to enter, and collapsed onto the floor.
He was cold, tired, and bleeding heavily through multiple wounds on his legs and chest. It was a pain to even pull himself up, but he knew he had to do that. Using a broken mirror and some towels he’d acquired from a nearby bathroom, he was able to examine the extent of his injuries.
Up and down his legs were vertical slashes, the worst gouges an inch deep, and probably requiring stitches. His arms had been sparred of anything besides minor scratches, but when he cleared away his shirt, what he saw caused him to shudder. Three identical scratches across his heart, like a taboo. They weren’t deep, but they were worrying. Apart from those, his upper body was mostly intact, so he moved on the bite in his neck.
There were two gouges where the teeth had sunk in, but the most worrying was that the skin around the wound had puffed up and was oozing a dark liquid, not blood, but something stranger. In the dim light, it seemed black, but when he held it up to a candle, it was inky blue.
Are myryad bites poisonous? he thought. No stories had mentioned this before, so James was operating under the assumption that it was an infection, not a poison, and he needed to act fast. He did not have the medical supplies with him to patch himself up properly, but he dreaded making the climb down to where Ezra help camp, and much worse, the chance of seeing Luna.
To stop the bleeding, he cut strips of the towels and wrapped them around his legs as well as he could. Halfway through, he realized, with mild panic, that he was simply too exhausted to do this on his own. His vision swam again, and he panicked, thinking he was underwater and unable to breathe.
James needed help, but he refused to admit it. He couldn’t tell anyone what he just saw, who would believe he had an encounter with a creature of myth?
No one, besides Luna, he thought. And it was true. The one person who would believe any word that came out of his mouth was dying, and it seemed he would die with her.
James woke in a panic, limbs and joints protesting after having fallen asleep in a twisted position. Although he couldn’t hear the rain outside anymore, it was still dark, and now wind wailed through the old house loud enough to wake the dead.
He’d bled through his makeshift bandages, and now the congealed blood caked his legs like a second skin. James felt sick. He hadn’t eaten or drank anything since running away, and now his head spun, which could have also been from the blood loss. He staggered up, body and mind both feeling sluggish. He lit a candle and used the fractured mirror on the desk to check his other wounds, but almost screamed. The bite on his neck and swollen to the size of an egg in his sleep. The skin around it looked black, and it continued oozing that blue stuff. What was worse, was his face. His eyes were red and puffy, surrounded by dark circles from exhaustion, but splitting his face like a scare was a vein of darkness.
James wanted to throw up. The rational part of him knew it was only the infection causing this, but he was too tired to be sensible anymore. He looked like a monster, and it was all his fault.
Ezra
“Ezra!”
Ezra woke with a gasp, disturbing the vials balanced precariously on the table. She hurriedly looked where Luna lay, but she was still unmoving. A moonlit sleeping beauty. If she hadn’t been the one who spoke then who..?
Her questions were answered when a loud whisper repeated, ““Ezra, over here!”
Ezra rubbed her eyes. In the corner, just where the light of the fading candle couldn’t reach, stood a person, but why weren’t they coming closer?
“James?” she asked, coming to her senses.
“Yes, it’s me,” he said, “Listen, there’s been a sort of...accident. I- ugh. N..need some help.”
Confused, she stood up , dusting herself off, “What do you mean ‘accident’? Did you hurt one of the crew?”
“What? Gods, no. I- it only happened to me.”
Ezra hmped. “Sounds a little like karma,” she said as she folded her arms across her chest.
James sighed in frustration, “Look, if you don’t forgive me for the thing with Cee, that’s fine. Just give me some bandages and I’ll be on my way.”
Ezra chewed her lip. “Do you have a fever?”
“No, why would you assume-”
“You said, ‘Gods, no’ earlier. For as long as I’ve known you, you’ve repeatedly shown little faith in anything other than yourself.”
James made another noise of annoyance. “Could you just give me some damn bandages?”
“Why? To wrap you broken ego-” She caught herself off in the middle of her tease as the light shifted in the room, revealing something scarlet blooming across James’s legs. She gasped, “Good Goddess, James! You’re actually bleeding!”
Ezra rushed over, but he held her away at arms length, far enough she couldn’t see his face, still covered in shadow.
“I need you to keep this between you and me,” he said, “No one else knows.”
Ezra’s eyes widened, but she nodded. She stepped back to give him space, and after a moment of hesitation, he followed her into the light.
Her jaw dropped, “James! I- what happened?” Blood seeped through poorly done bandages on his legs and a lump of swollen skin pulsed with some sort of darkness, the infection already spreading to his face. Dark veins stood out on his pale face, eventually spilling even more darkness into his eye. Ezra wondered if he could even still see.
James didn’t answer at first, only cast his eyes to the floor. As Ezra got him seated in a chair, he mumbled, “I was hoping you would tell me.”
Ezra huffed, hands on her hips. She saw through his obvious lie, having been around him enough. “You have to tell me what bit you if you want my help, James.”
He stared up at her in surprise, “How’d you know it was a bite?”
“The two very obvious puncture wounds, plus it seems to be excreting some sort of venom, a poison, maybe.”
James hesitated, “Do you...do you know about..the sea folk?”
“Uhm,” Ezra thought for a minute as she took the bloody bandages off his legs. His flesh was torn up from ankles to thighs, numerous deep vertical slashes. “I think I remember a story Cap told us once. Like mermaids but- ugh, what were they called?”
James gulped. “Myryads,” he whispered.
“Oh yeah, I remember.” She worked quickly and efficiently on his legs, cleaning and disinfecting the wounds as best as she could. James, for all his part, didn’t flinch or wince away much. She looked around her medical supplies for a sewing needle and thread, and got to work disinfecting those.
“So the mir-miryad, what about them?”
James hissed when the needle first punctured his skin. She handed him a bottle of whatever leftover alcohol she had used to disinfect her supplies and he chugged it gratefully. Only when he set the empty bottle down did he continue.
“I think I was bit by one.”
Ezra paused in the middle of a stitch. She laughed, nervously.
“James- you sure you don’t have a fever? When was the last time you ate something-”
She searched his face for signs on the joke, but he looked dead serious. Ezra stared at the bite on his neck, “You don’t mean-”
He nodded, “It’s true, look.” He moved part of his shirt away, revealing three distinctive claw marks directly over his heart. The rest of his chest was untouched, so it almost seemed as if- as if they’d been done on purpose.
Ezra was staring, wide-eyed in disbelief, as she went back to working on the stitches. “It- it couldn’t have been something else?” she asked, “like a snake or..?”
James shook his head. “It happened last night. I was walking by the beach and- one pulled me under-”
Ezra scoffed, “You followed one to the beach? Were you feeling suicidal? Don’t you know the stories?”
James huffed, “More than you, but that’s besides the point-”
“How did you even manage to escape! Actually, no, how were you stupid enough to follow her into the water in the first place?”
“Well obviously I didn’t do it willingly.”
“Then-”
Ezra looked up to find James staring at Luna across the room. A faint blush spread into his face, but that could have just been his very probably fever. Still, Ezra knew that look. She rolled her eyes, men.
“So she tricked you, and you got attacked? But you got away? Okay-” Ezra finished the last of the stitches and took out a roll of bandages- “but what do you plan on doing now?”
James scowled, “How should I know? You’re the medic so,” he gestured to his neck, “fix it.”
Ezra shot him a glare and tied the last bandage extra tight. He yelped and she patted his leg, rising up.
“It’s not like I have magic hands, James. I don’t know a thing about myryads.”
“Ask Cap then, Ezra. Besides, aren’t you a poison specialist?”
“Real poisons,” she crossed her arms across her chest, “Not poisons from fantasy creatures-”
“Please, Ezra?” James bit his lip, “Look, I know I may have said some things and been a bit rude-”
“A bit?” she raised a brow.
“Okay, I was an asshole. I know you don’t forgive me, but-”
Ezra raised a hand to stop this awkward apology. “I don’t want to hear your excuse. I know it wasn’t right for you to kick Cee out like that, but I guess this is your gang. I’m not forgiving you,” she sighed, “But you know I’ll try to help.”
He smiled, “Thanks, Ez. You’re-”
“Save your forced praise,” she interrupted. “I’ll go talk to Cap. In the meantime, get something to eat and drink, oh, and here,” she handed him a small vial, “this should reduce the swelling.”
He nodded and risked a glance over to where Luna slept.
“James, about her-” Ezra started, but he shook his head to stop her.
“I know you are doing your best,” he said and hobbled out of the room.
Ezra sighed. She walked over to Luna to check on her, but again, she hadn’t moved. Ezra straightened the blankets on top of her with a chuckle, “This blasted wind, am I right?”
She looked around to make sure she was alone before giving Luna a kiss on her forehead. Ezra sighed wistfully, “What has James gotten into now, Luna?” The girl’s hand was soft when Ezra picked it up, but growing colder. It was a harsh reminder of her impending fate.
Someone knocked on the door. Startled, Ezra dropped Luna’s hand and moved away from her.
It was Lenny, “Ez?” He asked through the door, “I brought you some food, thought you might like some.”
Ezra shot one last lingering look at Luna before going to the door, “You’re the best, Lenny,” she said as she unlocked it, “Come in.”
***
After eating, Ezra left Luna’s sick room after what seemed like weeks, but could have only been a little more than a day.
She was greeted by the rest of the gang sitting quietly in one of the living rooms, playing cards. They paused when she entered the room, no doubt she, too, looked like a fright from not sleeping for days.
“Bonsoir, Ezra. Is everything alright with Luna?” Jacques asked
“Same as before, Jacques,” she huffed. “D’you know where I can find Cap?”
“Check the porch in the back,” answered Shaemus, Cap’s second.
She nodded and bid them a goodbye before heading outside. The storm wasn’t quite over yet, as a fierce wind blew in from the ocean. Ezra shivered, wishing she had worn her jacket.
“Hey Cap.” She sat down on the bench the old sailor was using as his footrest once he’d made room for her.
“Hello, lass.” He took his pipe out and smiled at her with crooked teeth. Ezra liked Cap, he’d always been kind to her, even when she had been a rebellious teenager and had done everything in her power to become hated by everyone around her. It helped that she was his favorite, too, out of the rest of the kids here.
“Have you been getting enough sleep?” He asked, “Eating? It ain’t good to focus yourself too much on the lovely Lady.”
“I know Cap, thank you.”
“Aye, don’t mention it.” He coughed, “Someone has to look after you all from time to time.”
Ezra smiled, and they sat there in comfortable silence as he went back to smoking from the pipe and she looked off into the distant sea.
“Cap, do you know anything about..mir-myryads?”
His brows furrowed. “Aye, had my encounters with the sea-beasts. Why do you ask?”
She shrugged. “Just came to my mind. Must be the weather.”
Cap nodded. “Well, I’ll tell you, they’re nasty little devils. Drag you down and drink you dry, as my buddies used to say. No compassion those sea witches-” he quickly added, “No offense to your lot of witches, of course, just ‘em are bastards.”
“None taken,” sighed Ezra, “So they bite humans? But what if one escapes?”
He shook his head, “No escaping the sea-folk once they hook their little claws in you.”
Ezra frowned. “Surely someone had to have escaped once.”
Cap sighed and leaned closer. “Don’t say this to anyone else, but I knew a fella who got bitten by one of ‘em. One of my crew, actually, a long time ago. We managed to haul him up before the fool was bled dry-”
“And? What happened? Was the bite poisonous?”
“Well, know that I think ‘bout it, sure enough I might’ve been. By come morning it’d swollen to the size of an apple. All black with the sea folk’s blood too.”
“Did he.. did he survive?”
Cap shook his head. “We lost him the next day. Some poison I tell you, spread through his veins like fire.”
Ezra gulped. “Was there… any way to cure it, you think?”
“Not that I know of,” he must have seen the disappointment on her face because he added, “Aye but don’t worry, lass. Sea folk don’t come this far inland. S’long as you don’t go strolling by the beaches you won’t get bitten.”
Ezra laughed, if only to lighten the mood. “I promise I won’t, Cap.”
“Aye, I know you’re smarter than that, Ezra.”
Without another word, he went back to his pipe, watching the dark sky. Ezra went back inside, wondering how she was supposed to tell everyone both Luna and James were fated to die by tomorrow.
Shaemus spotted him approach the group first. He slurred, “Ey Lenny, where ya been?” It was obvious they’d all found more liquor reserves in the cellar.
Lenny
“Here and there,” Lenny shrugged as he sat down next to the group playing cards.
“Any words from le capitan?” Jacques asked.
Lenny shook his head. “He’s probably still hiding in his room, too scared to face us.” They all laughed.
“After what he did-” someone started.
“I’m sure he had his reasons,” Lenny shut them down, quick.
“To throw a little girl onto the streets?” Jacques scowled.
Lenny shrugged “Well, we aren’t all highly virtuous.” This brought on another round of laughs.
“Have a drink with us, play a round, Lenny.” Shaemus swung an arm around his shoulders. He poked a finger into his chest, “You’ve been too tight since we’ve come ‘ere.”
Lenny shook my head, “Have you all forgotten ‘bout the Hits?”
Most of them shrugged. Rai said, “It’s dark and cold, with another storm coming. Doubt even the Hits would stay out in weather like this.”
Lenny looked around at their expecting faces, all eager to get back to drinking and gambling. To them, he had always been the carefree one, the one to pull the others into a game, the one that lounges around, drink in hand, singing old ballads about fair maidens and riches.
Lenny hated himself for making them believe that’s who he was. Still, he gritted his teeth and smiled.
“Alright, alright, but just two rounds and a toast.”
“Why not three?” They laughed.
“Three toasts? Bring it on!” He flashed them a grin as the first shot of rough liquor went down his throat. It burned but he pretended he liked it, already in line for more.
I wish James was here, he thought miserably.
Cee
Cee couldn’t leave the island because of the storm. Them and Sarj wandered as close as they dared to the abandoned manor, trying to find shelter. Eventually, they found the remains of a tiny fishing village, hardly more than a few houses and a broken dock. It, too, was abandoned like the rest of the island, its inhabitants long gone.
They chose the house that looked the safest, the walls and roof still intact. Inside, it was dusty and predictably empty. Sarj found some wood in the back and coaxed a small fire in the cold fireplace. Soon, the cottage, and it really was more of a cottage, glowed with a warm light. Cee settled themselves on a pile of straw next to the fire and drew their knees to their chest.
“Sarg,” Cee looked up to the giant of a man sitting across from them, “Why is this island abandoned?”
“You don’t know the story?” he asked. They shook their head.
“Oh, well some time ago, this entire island was the property of a really important man, a Lord, actually. He welcomed many people onto his lands to fish and farm, until he effectively created his own little kingdom.
“Everything was running smoothly, until one night, where he turned mad. Some say it was because his Lady died, a broken-heart, others say it was from an illness. Regardless, he terrorized the people on the island, even his own daughter, kicking her out of her childhood home. Except, anyone who tried to leave,” Sarj pantomimed slicing his neck, “you get it.”
Cee nodded, sullenly. “His Lady died.. like Luna? Lady Moon?”
Sarj shrugged, “Guess you could say that.”
“So then what happened to the Lord?”
“Oh, well,” Sarj laughed nervously, “Eventually, he couldn’t take it anymore, and- ugh, he jumped off the cliff by the manor. Legend goes that his spirit now haunts the entire island, welcoming visitors, then stopping them if they ever try to leave."“
Cee shivered.
“Oh, but don’t worry! It’s just a story. The only reason no one’s ever come back to this island is because the weather’s so piss poor. Ghosts aren’t going to hurt ya, much less stop you from leaving.”
Cee nodded. “I wasn’t worried,” they said, even though they were, in fact, a little worried. A lot worried. This island made them feel trapped, just like the lab.
“So how are we gonna get off if the entire island is abandoned?”
“Ah,” Sarj began, “I didn’t say the entire place was abandoned. There’s still a lighthouse on the Southern end, meant to keep ships from crashing into the rocks near the coast. I reckon someone’s up there, and we could wait ‘til I supply ship comes for them and then barter our way onboard.”
“And what if we can’t do that?”
Sarj ruffled their hair. “Don’t think like that, Cee, we’ll be able to escape.”
Cee smiled, weakly, “Thanks again, Sarj, for deciding to come with me.”
Sarj smiled back. “No problem, kid. It’s the least I could do.”

Alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs) like glycolic acid are produced from sugar cane. By removing dead skin cells, clearing clogged pores, and minimizing rough texture, it can exfoliate the skin. This may result in a complexion that is lighter and more even in tone.

If I was going to recommend a skin care routine for dry/combo sensitive acne prone skin this is what I would recommend. Not sponsored I just think these products do good things, they’re all recommended to me from a licensed dermatologist. As always do your own research and experimentation;

TONER/EXFOLIANTE: I would recommend the pixie by Petra glow tonic to go exfoliating pads with 5% glycolic acid, aloe Vera and ginseng.

The best beginner retinol is CeraVe Resurfacing retinol serum. It’s 19$ at target
You use a pea sized amount on your face and neck after your face has absorbed the serum. Wait until the retinol has absorbed before moving on to your moisturizer.

the vitriol for light mode is so valid. tell me about your poor little meow meow blorbo from dnd if you so wish
WAHOO
You know that TikTok audio from the Lego movie where the astronaut wants to build a space ship and he’s like “you’re not gonna tell me no” or whatever? Me rn :3 Apologies in advance for the long rant but!! You did technically ask for it hehe
ANYWAY, technically none of them are *my* poor little meow meow blorbos because I’m the Dungeon Master!! But I am genuinely obsessed with all of them
@haaawaiianshirt plays Delilah, an aasimar path of the beast barbarian. She was born and raised in a religious commune type situation before running away after being responsible for the death of a friend, and then being adopted by a sheriff in a small town. She later became his deputy, but they can’t outrun their past. The god this commune worshipped, Omen, is reaching out, and it seems he has some sort of plan for her that she does NOT want to be a part of. They’re also reflavored so that their path of the beast forms aren’t tail, claws, whatever, it’s cherub, seraphim, and throne form!! Which we got to work on together and I think it’s really cool. Emmie jokes I have shared custody of Delilah hehe, and I’ve probably done the most writing for her thus far
@suwunnysideup is playing Belladonna, a reborn tiefling grave cleric (with a bonus level in fighter!)!! They were raised from death by an evil cult called the Order of the Rotting Eye, which serves a rival god to Omen called Char’gothikon. Their past is intrinsically linked to Delilah’s, but both characters are still figuring out how. She’s recent been revealed to have more than one soul piloting their body, and are under the influence of something dark. They are currently trying to rescue their wife, Aasharni, from the clutches of the Order, who are demanding powerful Relics in return. She is also a werewolf, as of session two! They are the sweetest ever. They’re also 7 feet tall and we’re all really normal about it
@daughterofdrearburh is Nora Elliot, a rough around the edges “human” (werecoyote) ranger!! Her specific subclass has yet to be revealed in game, but she has abilities somehow related to other dimensions. A group called the Horizon Walkers, also servants of Omen, have made their connection to her known, and are seemingly trying to recruit her. She’s a terrible little beast and we all love her so dearly. She’s best friends with Morgan, and grew up in the same town as Delilah, but she can be a little aloof. She doesn’t like to trust people, and recently got shot by Morgan (under a vampiric charm) and lost the one bit of trust she had placed in anyone. Also she died and came back with black eyes but that went away so I’m sure it’s fine
@ninthhousesteel is playing Ruewen Simber, another normal human!! She’s a fighter, champion archetype, only she somehow has access to spare the dying and was able to use a scroll, despite “not being a spellcaster.” She was a socially awkward farm girl who didn’t even believe in monsters before joining the group and quickly having to confront that fact. She discovered a not at all cursed sword that was later revealed to in some way be connected to Char’gothikon. Also, she died in one session, but returned without the help of revivify—but with dark veiny scarring across her shoulder that appears to be spreading…
@candle-lion plays everyone’s favorite unethical evil lesbian, Doctor Morgan Lancaster. She’s a doctor who Jekyll and Hyde’d herself. She’s a “shifter” circle of the moon druid with a few levels in artificer. She was a doctor in a town called Dusty Springs, which was terrorized by vampires from a coven called the Onyx Eye Coven for many years. She has a HUGE vendetta against vampires, and is damn determined to exterminate every single one she sees. In an effort to become stronger and protect people, she made an experimental serum, which turned her into a monster. During times of stress, at will, or occasionally at random, she transforms into a “bad taxidermy wolf monster” but apparently mostly maintains control. She’s looking for a cure for herself, and recently discovered she too is somehow connected to Char’gothikon.
@lavenderlevetan is a petty vampire and we fucking love her. Seraphina is a half elf now vampire and she’s a fighter as well!! She has canonically killed 1000+ people over 20 years of being a vampire!! But she specifically chooses to go after bounties, and specifically those that list “wanted dead or alive.” She’s actually the nicest person ever until you (Morgan) give her a reason to be petty. She’s also the most charming of the group and her expertise in persuasion has made her mvp of multiple sessions. She was dragged into this mess while trying to find a missing person for a bounty, and thus far has yet to discover why her specifically, when it seems every other character is here for a Reason
Morgan and Seraphina hate each other and they want to kiss about it so bad. When any of us post about morphine, that’s them LMAO. Deliladonna is obviously Delilah and Belladonna. Norue are the slowest slow burn ever
And while I’m the DM and don’t have a PC, I do have a special little guy NPC that I’m a little obsessed with. Her name is Brozi and she’s a half orc way of mercy monk. She was Delilah’s best friend (and for some time, girlfriend) after the aasimar arrived in Sawtooth City and together they were the worst teenagers ever. Brozi isn’t going with the party, but she and Delilah are still very close, and their goodbye will be hard. While Delilah is gone, they get to achieve their lifelong dream of opening a bakery 🫶
In any case. Cowboy dykes. With horror. Themes of free will, losing control, found family, and learning to trust and overcome prejudice. The friendship dynamics took everyone by surprise. Belladonna and Seraphina are undead besties. Ruewen and Seraphina play go fish. Delilah and Morgan are slowly fixing each other. Nora and Morgan are also fixing each other. Morgan is super protective of Ruewen and it’s very sweet. I would die for any one of them. I’m obsessed with them a healthy amount.
This is the party 🫶

Outsider pt 1 (3/19)
Outsider Series
3. Strange Weather
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The odor of motor oil mixed with gasoline and hydraulic fluid coaxed him awake.
Heavy lids fluttered open under dirty strains of hair. His head hung at a neck breaking angle, it throbbed at the temple when jerked to lift it. Fragments of his memory flickered, dull images of violence floated in and out of focus. She was there, the face of a woman-scared and hunted, but there none the less. Black hair surrounded a brown angelic face, a mouth stretched in pain, and tears-so many tears.
His thoughts were interrupted by the distant beating of helicopter blades that reverberated around. The sound derailed any effort he was making at rebuilding the last few hours. He shifted his weight to the left to ease the ache in his ribs, he pulled at his arm but nothing gave.
Bucky turned his head toward a large machine where his metal arm laid trapped in a vice.
“Hey Cap!” The voice of a man called out.
Bucky heard the footfalls of two men coming toward him as he slowly shifted up his body. The tall dark figure of a man, Sam Wilson, approached first, but his eyes slid to the man he knew to be his friend.
“Steve.” He croaked.
America’s soldier took tentative steps toward him.
“Which Bucky am I talking to?” He demanded.
“Your mom’s name was Sarah.”
He caught the memory that swirled into his mind of Steve before the serum. He could still see the skinny young man as he was, determined.
“You use to stuff newspaper in your shoes.” He chuckled, the sensation nearly felt foreign to him as it slipped out with the memory.
“You can’t read that in a museum.” Relieved, Steve allowed this small victory.
“Just like that we’re supposed to be cool?” Sam said bluntly.
Bucky knew the answer before he asked as to how he got out of the JTC. Same as it always was.
Fighting.
“What did I do?”
“Enough.” said Steve.
“Oh god, I knew this would happen. Everything Hydra put inside is still there. All he had to do was say the god damn words.”
There was a time in his life where his mere presence baited attention from the room. With jazz in his step and that supple cool gaze he absorbed the admiration. A magnetic charming personality seeped from a young vibrant smile. His eyes dazzled and usurped the will of both men and women alike when he glanced at them. He was a man’s man, a woman’s best dream, and he found himself effortlessly loving it.
He once had dreams of being a top savvy business man who traveled, hell, maybe even an artist. As a young man, he spent his time on the outskirts of social circles. He liked to dip in and sneak out, taking only what he needed from them in the end. Leaving his soul fed with a reality of his making.
The dreams of the present, those damn dreams. They peppered his mind with scenes of madness. Eliciting dark fantasies of stripping freedom from people where he had none. The dark visions insisted violence where he wanted nothing more than peace. But he allowed them to sustain the deep sorrow. anyway.  It meant he was alive at least. Though peace of mind never looked so good and at the same time never looked so far away as it did in the medical facility in Wakanda.
“I can’t trust my own mind.”
The memories would have to quiet now. Sleep was coming, a deep agitated slumber to ease the brutality of his actions into a dreamless hibernation.
“I think going back under is the best thing. For everybody.”
But he could fall asleep to visions of her. The one he had stolen her sense of safety from. He could see pieces of the moment now if he thought on it long enough.
And he did in the few days since Siberia. When he had ripped her happiness away. He wouldn’t wish those images on his worst enemy. In these last few minutes before going under he could give it back though.
In his own way, under his own control he could alter that moment in his mind. Maybe in a way his soul could be forgiven for his actions. So Bucky imaged a better outcome for her and him. One where she wasn’t terrified and where he could see a smile instead of that heartbreaking frown of horror.
He had been thinking about her long before this moment occurred. Rehashing and pasting together what happened piece by fragile piece. And it had alarmed him at first when he caught on to the obsession of remembering. But he never was very good at keeping up with the morals of others. It was no use trying to live up to their ideals, anyway. Except to gauge where he could lose himself in the in between of their structured ethics and values. He had nothing to lose.
He lay back in the pod, taking slow deep breaths, and the sounds of clicking and prodding were ignored. He didn’t mind it. And he did not let it become a nuisance to the image he saw behind his eyes lids.
Her heart was full of happiness. The love he felt when he gazed at those chestnut colored eyes of hers was immeasurable. What a pretty girl. It was like looking at a piece of him that had long been lost to time and torture. She lived free and untamed who, like him, was in touch with her desires for stability but appreciated the fresh and unseen. And he knew that he only had to ask her to follow him. Together they could chase freedom. But he watched her smile in his dream, a smothering goodness radiated from bright loving eyes. She was a work of art that emitted serenity and security, the person he wished he was now. Hair the color of black jade tickled his palms as she leaned into him.
She wasn’t scared of him.
She was his home for now.
She sustained him.
He would let this beautiful dream take him as he felt the broken parts of his mind shut down.

Introduction
As we age, wrinkles around the eyes become more common and visible. The delicate skin in this area requires special attention and care to stay smooth and youthful-looking. Fortunately, there are various effective ways to prevent and treat wrinkles around the eyes. By consistently using the right ingredients, eye creams, and skincare routine, you can keep your eye area looking bright and wrinkle-free for years to come.
Understanding Wrinkles Around Eyes
Wrinkles around the eyes, commonly known as crow’s feet, are a natural part of aging. However, several factors contribute to their development, including sun damage and repetitive facial expressions. To prevent or treat wrinkles around the eyes, it’s essential to develop healthy skincare habits and use gentle eye creams containing ingredients such as retinol, vitamin C, and hyaluronic acid.
Additionally, wearing sunglasses to protect against UV rays and avoiding smoking and excessive alcohol consumption can also help prevent them from forming. Consulting with a dermatologist can provide personalized advice on how to maintain healthy skin and reduce the appearance of wrinkles.
Importance of Taking Care of Wrinkles Around Eyes
The delicate skin around the eyes requires special attention and care to maintain a youthful and vibrant appearance. Taking care of the skin around the eyes is crucial as it is thinner and more vulnerable to wrinkles, fine lines, and other signs of aging than the rest of the face.
Using eye creams and serums that contain ingredients such as retinol, vitamin C, collagen, hyaluronic acid, and ferulic acid can help prevent and treat wrinkles around eyes. Additionally, protecting your skin from sun exposure, getting enough sleep and managing stress, staying hydrated, maintaining a balanced diet, avoiding smoking, and developing a regular skincare routine for your eyes are essential steps in preventing this problem from occurring.
Best Ingredients for Treating Wrinkles Around Eyes
The right ingredients are crucial when it comes to treating wrinkles around the eyes. Retinol, a powerful anti-aging ingredient, stimulates collagen production and reduces fine lines. Vitamin C helps brighten the skin and reduce the appearance of dark circles and wrinkles. Hyaluronic acid is a hydrating ingredient that can plump up the skin, reducing the appearance of wrinkles.
Peptides stimulate collagen production, improving skin elasticity and reducing them. Ceramides help strengthen the skin barrier, improving moisture retention and preventing further damage. Incorporating these ingredients into your skincare routine can help prevent and treat wrinkles around the eyes.
Retinol
Retinol is a potent ingredient for reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes. It increases collagen production, smoothing out the skin and giving it a youthful glow. Retinol can be found in various skincare products such as serums, creams, and eye treatments.
However, it’s important to start with a low concentration and gradually increase as your skin adapts to avoid irritation. For best results, use retinol in conjunction with sunscreen to protect the skin from further damage.
Vitamin C
Vitamin C is a potent antioxidant that offers numerous benefits when it comes to skin health. It is a powerful tool in the fight against wrinkles around the eyes as it helps brighten the skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines.
Vitamin C also plays an important role in collagen synthesis, which makes it a key ingredient in many anti-aging skincare products. When choosing an eye cream or serum, look for products with stable forms of Vitamin C, such as L-ascorbic acid, to ensure maximum effectiveness.
Collagen
Collagen is a natural protein that provides structure and elasticity to the skin. As we age, our skin produces less collagen, which can lead to the formation of wrinkles and fine lines, particularly around the eyes. Using skincare products that contain collagen can help improve the appearance of these wrinkles and promote overall skin health.
Collagen-based eye creams can also provide hydration and plump up the skin around the eyes for a more youthful appearance. Additionally, taking collagen supplements may further support healthy skin.
Hyaluronic Acid
The natural substance called hyaluronic acid is known for its significant hydrating and plumping properties. It can hold up to 1,000 times its weight in water, making it a highly effective moisturizer.
Regular use of hyaluronic acid eye creams and serums can help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by improving skin elasticity. Safe for all skin types, it is a common ingredient found in many skincare products designed to improve the overall health and appearance of the delicate skin around the eyes.
Ferulic Acid
Ferulic acid is a potent antioxidant that has the ability to protect the skin from environmental damage. It is particularly effective when used in combination with other antioxidants such as vitamins C and E, which further enhances its benefits. In addition to preventing oxidative stress, ferulic acid also helps to stimulate collagen production, making it an excellent ingredient for reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
When looking for skincare products containing ferulic acid, be sure to choose those with a high concentration for maximum effectiveness. Don’t forget to use sunscreen along with ferulic acid-based products to maximize protection against harmful sun rays.
Best Eye Creams for Treating Wrinkles Around Eyes
Introducing the best eye creams for treating wrinkles around eyes can be a daunting task, but finding the right one can make a world of difference. Eye creams with retinol are an excellent choice, as they help stimulate collagen production and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Antioxidant-rich eye creams, such as those with vitamin C, can protect against free radical damage that contributes to wrinkles. Peptide-infused eye creams help improve skin elasticity and reduce wrinkles, while hyaluronic acid plumps up skin around the eyes for a more youthful look. Consistent use of a suitable eye cream can deliver noticeable results.
BEST OVERALL
When it comes to preventing and treating wrinkles around the eyes, choosing the best eye cream is crucial. The best overall eye cream for treating wrinkles should contain retinol, peptides, and antioxidants. These ingredients help stimulate collagen production, improve skin elasticity, and protect against free radical damage.
Additionally, hydrating ingredients such as hyaluronic acid can help plump up the skin to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Consistency is key when using eye creams for wrinkle prevention and treatment. Apply daily and be patient for results.
BEST SMOOTHING
Smooth away wrinkles around eyes with the best eye creams formulated with retinol and hyaluronic acid. Retinol helps boost collagen production, resulting in smoother skin, while hyaluronic acid hydrates and plumps fine lines.
Look for eye creams containing antioxidants to protect against environmental stressors that contribute to wrinkles. It’s essential to choose a gentle eye cream suitable for the delicate skin around your eyes and use it consistently for best results.
BEST WITHOUT RETINOL
Eye creams without retinol can still be effective in treating wrinkles around the eyes. Peptides, vitamin C, and hyaluronic acid can stimulate collagen production while hydrating the skin. Natural ingredients like green tea extract and aloe vera can also soothe and protect the delicate eye area. When choosing an eye cream, consider your skin type and concerns to find one that is suitable for you. With consistent use, you can reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines without retinol.
BEST FOR PUFFINESS
Puffy eyes can be a frustrating and noticeable side effect of aging. Luckily, there are eye creams specifically designed to combat this issue. Look for eye creams that contain caffeine or other anti-inflammatory ingredients to help reduce puffiness. It’s also beneficial to choose an eye cream with retinol or antioxidants to target wrinkles and fine lines while simultaneously reducing puffiness. For best results, apply the eye cream twice a day using gentle pressure with your ring finger.
BEST FOR EYE BAGS
Eye bags can be a frustrating and noticeable sign of aging. Fortunately, there are various eye creams available that contain caffeine or other ingredients to reduce puffiness and swelling. Look for products that also contain peptides, retinol, or antioxidants to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes. It is important to choose an eye cream that suits your specific skin type and concerns for best results. And don’t forget to protect your delicate eye area from further damage by applying sunscreen daily.
BEST CALMING
Calming eye creams are perfect for those looking to soothe the delicate skin around their eyes and reduce inflammation that can lead to wrinkles. They contain ingredients such as chamomile, aloe vera, and green tea extract that have anti-inflammatory properties to help reduce puffiness and redness. These creams are ideal for people with sensitive skin or those who experience irritation from other types of eye creams. Additionally, calming eye creams can also be used to help alleviate stress-related tension around the eyes, leaving you feeling refreshed and revitalized.
BEST FOR SENSITIVE SKIN
When it comes to choosing the best eye cream for sensitive skin, you need to be extra careful. Harsh chemicals and fragrances can cause irritation and redness, making the problem worse. Look for gentle ingredients like hyaluronic acid, ceramides, and peptides that help hydrate and plump the skin without causing any harm. A good sensitive-skin eye cream should also help reduce fine lines and wrinkles while avoiding alcohol and retinol. Always patch test new products before applying them to the delicate skin around your eyes.
BEST BRIGHTENING
Brightening eye creams are a popular choice for those looking to reduce the appearance of dark circles and improve skin tone around their eyes. These creams contain ingredients like Vitamin C, Kojic Acid, and Liquorice extract that brighten the skin while also providing hydration and nourishment.
By choosing an eye cream specifically formulated for use around the eyes, you can ensure that it is gentle enough for the delicate skin in this area. Consistent use of a good quality brightening eye cream can go a long way in preventing the formation of new wrinkles and minimizing the appearance of existing ones.
BEST WITH VITAMIN C
Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that has numerous benefits for the skin, including reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Eye creams with Vitamin C not only help to protect the delicate eye area from free radicals but also stimulate collagen production. In addition, Vitamin C can brighten the skin, reduce dark circles, and improve skin texture.
When choosing an eye cream with Vitamin C, make sure it contains a stable form of the ingredient for maximum effectiveness. Peptides and hyaluronic acid are other valuable ingredients to look for in an eye cream for treating wrinkles around eyes.
Tips for Preventing and Treating Wrinkles Around Eyes
Protecting and treating the delicate skin around your eyes is crucial for preventing wrinkles. Sun exposure is one of the primary causes of wrinkles, so it’s essential to use sunscreen with at least SPF 30 and wear sunglasses when you’re outside. Anti-aging skincare products containing retinol, Vitamin C, and hyaluronic acid can promote collagen production and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Adequate sleep, stress management, and avoiding smoking are other important ways to prevent premature aging around the eyes. Additionally, consider seeking professional treatments like Botox or fillers to smooth out wrinkles around the eyes.
Protect Your Skin from the Sun
Sun damage is a significant contributor to the appearance of wrinkles around the eyes. Protecting your skin from the sun’s harmful UV rays is one of the most critical steps you can take to prevent and treat wrinkles. Wearing a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 every day, even when it’s cloudy or overcast, can go a long way in protecting your skin from the sun.
Additionally, wearing sunglasses and a wide-brimmed hat can help shield your skin from harmful UV rays. Avoiding tanning beds and limiting your time in direct sunlight can also reduce your risk of developing wrinkles around the eyes.
Get Enough Sleep and Manage Stress
Maintaining a healthy sleep schedule and managing stress levels can do wonders to prevent wrinkles around the eyes. Lack of sleep causes fatigue, leading to dark circles under the eyes and an overall dull appearance. Stress is also one of the primary factors that accelerate aging and cause wrinkles.
Taking breaks frequently and indulging in activities like yoga, meditation or even a spa session can help reduce stress levels. Additionally, using an eye cream with antioxidants and peptides can help reduce wrinkle appearance and provide a youthful glow around the eyes.
Stay Hydrated and Maintain a Balanced Diet
Maintaining a balanced diet and staying hydrated are essential for preventing wrinkles around eyes. Dehydration and unhealthy eating habits can contribute to the formation of fine lines and wrinkles. Drinking plenty of water and consuming a balanced diet that includes nutrient-dense foods like fruits, vegetables, and healthy fats can help keep the skin hydrated and nourished.
Additionally, using a moisturizer specifically designed for the delicate skin around the eyes can enhance hydration levels and prevent wrinkles from forming. Regular use of sunscreen and avoiding smoking can also help prevent premature aging and wrinkles.
Avoid Smoking
Smoking is not only harmful to your overall health but can also accelerate the aging process, leading to wrinkles around eyes. This is because smoking reduces blood flow to the skin and breaks down collagen and elastin, which are essential for maintaining healthy, youthful-looking skin.
Quitting smoking can help improve your overall skin health and prevent future wrinkles from forming. Additionally, adopting a healthy lifestyle with regular exercise, a balanced diet, and plenty of water can further promote healthy, youthful-looking skin.
Develop a Skincare Routine for Your Eyes
The skin around the eyes is delicate and requires extra care. Developing a regular skincare routine for your eyes can help prevent and treat wrinkles effectively. It should include gentle cleansing, moisturizing, and protection from the sun’s harmful rays. Eye creams or serums containing retinol or hyaluronic acid can also help reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Consistency is key when it comes to taking care of the skin around your eyes.
