Day Six
This morning we got some time to review the floor finishing submittal for Healy Hall. It was interesting to get a feel for working in BlueBeam. I have seen drawing sets with comments before, but it was fun to actually make a comment and learn the software that allows you to do that. Krissada did a little presentation on the NMAAHC over lunch and then we actually got to go and see it. It was amazing to see and hear about the littlest details that I may not have picked up on if I went on my own. He told us that the grand stair is corten steel, but they painted it!!! It killed me a bit to hear that, but it is still such a beautiful stair. I love how it comes down and meets those on that level, especially with its proximity to the entrance ramp to the water oculus. When we got back to the office, we had a short presentation on mechanical and plumbing engineering, and then got to work on our Rhino models for the MOSH project. It was a fun and exciting day to start off the week strong!
