Three and half years orthodontics treatment... then surgery and then a couple of months of post-surgery adjustments... finally the braces have been taken off. Masa ni 6 months with braces (rasanya). Time ni masih boleh guna fake smile ni lagi. Now, almost a year with braces. Hari tu doktor Nick kata gigi aku dah lurus. Aku sepatutnya happy mendengarnya sebab memang itu pon yang aku mahu selama ni. Selepas bertahun-tahun menghadap caci maki, ejekan dan hinaan orang. Finally. Sudah lama memendam rasa nak pakai braces ni. Tapi kekangan duit yang tak berapa nak ada. Akhirnya mampu juga put my braces on hasil duit kerja aku sendiri.

Bukan itu niat aku nak up cerita ni. Aku sebenarnya sedikit kecewa sebab skip selama 4 bulan untuk buat monthly check up. Mungkin sepatutnya aku boleh braces off dengan lebih cepat kalau aku mampu untuk monthly check up. Tapi tu lah. Tiada siapa tahu bila sakit ingin menimpa. Aku tak mampu nak jalani kehidupan seharian dengan mudah. Duduk rumah 24 jam selama berbulan-bulan tanpa bergaul dengan manusia lain. Boleh kira guna jari aku keluar rumah berapa kali je sebulan. Itu pon duduk dalam kereta saja. Tak pon pergi rumah kakak aku. Untuk berjalan-jalan shopping dengan gembiranya memang sudah lama mati perasaan tu. Yang tinggal cuma rasa takut, risau dan tak tenang.

Aku ingin sihat. Aku ingin sakit ni pergi jauh-jauh. Tapi kadang aku tak yakin yang aku mampu sembuh. Terasa sangat payah.

Apa yang aku harapkan sekarang aku boleh braces off after 2 years (paling lama) even dalam keadaan sekarang ni. Kalau boleh tak nak pakai lama-lama. Susah nak bersihkan. Kadang tu aku tak mahu tidur sebab malas nak gosok gigi. Gosok gigi pon lama macam mandi. Kadang tu aku tak mahu makan sebab tak nak gosok every single gigi ni. Harapnya tahun depan aku boleh bebas tanpa besi di gigi.
