My dearest “rose without a thorn”, @amadryades tagged me to make a list of my tbr list. 2020 was a tough year, but it also came with periods of extensive reading, for which I am deeply grateful. I wish to read even more books in 2021, not only in English or Greek, but also in German and perhaps even Latin. Theodora always has the loveliest suggestions, so I will definitely check out her list as well.
I wish to tag @pherelpis, @honey-sipping-muse @poppaeasabinaa, @ekatombh, and @kecharitomene - if you feel like it xx

10/1 Book Deals
Hey Happy October, everyone! It’s finally the spooky month we’ve all been waiting for and I’m so excited to dive into all the spooky books. :D I know it’s been a little while since I’ve posted deal so apologies for that, it’s been a hectic week. Midterm week + paper + broken AC + all the other responsibilities of life just sort of.. took over, haha. But anyway, we’re back with awesome books on sale!
There’s a pretty good selection of nonfiction on sale today if that’s your thing! The only one I’ve read is Blueprint, which was fascinating. Island of the Lost sounds super interesting to me as well. The Witcher and Marie Lu’s latest release are also on sale as well, so be sure to have a look if you need any new reading material. :) I hope you all have a wonderful day and that your October is off to a great start!
Here is the link to find resources on how you can help out with the BLM movement! Keep the momentum going!

Fandoms, Writers, Topics
Caveat: these lists do not implicitly serve as recommendations. In fact, there's stuff here I wish was not! They are intended to give an idea of my references, good and bad, and maybe a place to build from structurally.
Things I Like and Know A Lot About:
• the works of Jane Austen • Star Trek (DS9, ToS, TNG, Voyager, Enterprise from most to least loved) • the works of Georgette Heyer • the works of Terry Pratchett • Dungeons & Dragons • European historical costuming • the Aubrey/Marturin series by Patrick O'Brian • the works of Naomi Novik • Sector General series by James White • the works of Spider Robinson • (gestures at various anime and manga) • 1776: The Musical • the holy trinity of excellent books from my childhood: "13 Clocks" by James Thurber, "The Mouse that Roared" by Leonard Wibberley, and "The Phantom Tollbooth" by Norton Juster
Things I Like Okay and Know Some Stuff About:
• The Magnus Archives • Star Wars • Adventure Zone • Critical Role • the works of Ann Patchett • knowing like 28% of what there is to know about the works of Shakespeare, which is too much to be accepted as casual • Hitchhiker's Guide series by Douglas Adams • the works of P.G. Wodehouse • Sherlock Holmes as a concept, exempting That One
Things I Dislike or Know Nothing About and Never Want to Discuss, Thanks:
• Hannibal but also anything containing Hannibal Lecter • Lord George Byron if you actually like him • Superwholock • Homestuck • Undertale etc. • Wuthering Heights • modernist writers from 1910-1960 who are just trying to piss me off (Camus especially)
