Class 11 is the first step in the career. It is generally considered more difficult than class 12. The reason for this is, the study of class 11 is way different from that which students studied till class 10. Know About IIT JEE from Leading Career Counselors in Ahmedabad

Joint Entrance Examination (IIT JEE) is an engineering entrance examination conducted for admission for Engineering & Architecture courses into IITs, NITs or other prestigious colleges in India. It constitutes 2 different examinations – JEE Main and JEE Advanced.

The JEE Main will be conducted twice before admissions in the next academic session. Over 921,000 are expected to appear for the IIT JEE examination in 2020. The top students who take the JEE-Main qualify for the JEE-Advanced examination. As per the official changes, 12th board marks will not be considered for normalisation and A.I.R will strictly be based on JEE Scores.

Each year the Joint Entrance Examination Mains is held by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Admissions will be provided to exam qualifying candidates for admission into undergraduate courses leading to a Bachelor’s, Integrated Master’s or Bachelor-Master Dual Degree in Engineering, Sciences or Architecture.

2.5 Lac candidates who qualify JEE Main will become eligible for appearing in JEE Advanced and the exam will be conducted in 5 countries including USA (San Francisco).

Eligibility

Performance in Class 12: Minimum 75% marks in 10+2 or equivalent.

No age limit specified for JEE Main.

Students are provided only 3 attempts to qualify the JEE Main examination

NOTE - Candidates who have passed Class 12th in 2017 or before as well as those who will appear in such examination in 2021 or later are not eligible to appear in JEE (Main)–2020.

Subject combinations required in the qualifying examination for admission to B.E./B.Tech, B. Arch and B. Planning Courses in NITs, IIITs, and other CFTIs shall be as under -

Engineering aspirants have to fill up the online application form of JEE Main made available on the official website (https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/).

· Apply for Online Registration

· Fill Online Application Form

· Upload Scanned Photo & Signature - Scanned clear passport photograph in JPG/JPEG format (size between 10 kb–200 kb); Scanned clear signature in JPG/JPEG format (size between 4 kb–30 kb); Scanned clear 12th Class or equivalent Admit card/Mark sheet/Score Card (size between 50kb-500kb).

· Pay Examination Fee

· Take a print out

NOTE - More than one application i.e. Multiple application forms submitted by a candidate will be rejected.

IIT JEE D-Day Guidelines

Candidates MUST carry the following documents on the day of examination to the test centre. Candidates who fail to carry these will not be allowed to sit in the examination.

· Print copy of Admit Card downloaded from NTA’s website.

· One passport size photograph (same as uploaded on the Online Application Form).

· Any one of the authorized photo IDs (must be original, valid and non-expired) – PAN card/ Driving License/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card (With photograph)/E-Aadhaar with photograph/ Ration Card with photograph/ 12th Class Board Admit Card with photograph/ Bank Passbook with Photograph.

· If claiming the relaxation under PwD category –

o PwD certificate issued by the authorized medical officer

o PwD Certificate regarding physical limitation in an examination to write as per Appendix-I given in Information Bulletin.

o Letter of Undertaking for using Own Scribe as per Appendix-II given in Information Bulletin, if claiming the relaxation under PwD category.
