I passed my TSHOOT exam! It was pretty rough at first.

I was set to leave at 930 from work to head to the testing center. I get in my car and sure enough my phone goes off.... VPN appliance is down, so I have to rush back inside and deal with that. Luckily I make it to the testing center just in time. For the first tine ever, I didn't have any problems taking an exam at the testing center! No server outage, no broken computers, no network problems.

The exam itself was pretty fun a few bugs but pretty good I enjoyed it.

Next up CCDP, its only one more exam, then onto CCNP Security!

Large update (part 1)

I sat and passed the 642-637 [SECURE] exam yesterday. Three more exams until I am CCNP Security certified. It turns out that the exam I took yesterday was also a specialist exam which is kind of cool. Next up is the FIREWALL exam. Hopefully I can get away with an ASA5505 and a 5510 in GNS3... but we'll see... I'm taking a short break and will start preparing for that exam next week. Last week I bought a Dell c1100 server to replace my current ESXi setup. With 72GB of RAM I should be set for a while (compared to 32GB). The CPUs that came with the server are a little weaker compared to my old single CPU bit hopefully that won't be a problem. I'm rather close to obtaining a gig switch. I don't NEED it, but I would love to build up my network properly and with the right bandwidth. More later...
