📘 How to Prepare for IIT JAM 2026
If you’re aspiring to build a strong career through IIT JAM, your preparation must be strategic and focused.
Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you begin:
✅ 1. Understand the Exam Pattern & Syllabus
IIT JAM is a computer-based test (CBT) with 60 questions divided into 3 sections:
Section A: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) – 30 Qs
Section B: Multiple Select Questions (MSQ) – 10 Qs
Section C: Numerical Answer Type (NAT) – 20 Qs
👉 Negative marking applies in Section A.
Download the latest syllabus for your subject and stick to the official topics only.
✅ 2. Make a Study Plan
Create a realistic study timetable:
Week 1–4: Brush up on basics from NCERT and B.Sc books
Week 5–20: Deep dive into core topics + PYQs
Week 21–26: Revise, practice mock tests, and time yourself
✅ 3. Enroll in Online Coaching (Optional but Effective)
Online coaching platforms like IFAS EdTech offer:
Subject-wise video lectures
Regular doubt-solving sessions
Daily practice questions
Full-length mock tests with analysis
AI-based performance tracking

✅ 4. Practice Previous Year Papers
Solve at least 10 years of IIT JAM previous year papers. They help you:
Understand the trend of questions
Identify high-weightage chapters
Improve speed and accuracy
✅ 5. Take Mock Tests Weekly
Mock tests simulate the actual exam. Analyze each mock test for:
Time management

✅ 7. Revise with Short Notes
Make formula sheets, flowcharts, and diagrams for revision. These are helpful in the final 1–2 months before the exam.
Final Tips to Crack IIT JAM 2026
Be consistent – Even 3 hours daily can lead to big results
Focus on understanding, not just memorization
Join study groups or forums for motivation

Preparing for CSIR-UGC  NET/JRF Examination: A Comprehensive Roadmap by SCITECH STUDY
The decision of stepping into CSIR-UGC  NET/JRF preparation by default lands one into myriad preconceived notions, like the following doubts for example:The syllabus for CSIR-UGC  NET/JRF exam is so vast but crystal clear. You will never be able to cover it 100%.CSIR-UGC NET/JRF foundation courses are very time consuming. You will not be able to cope up even if you miss one single class.Aspirants who are trying for self preparation need to read as many books as possible for each subject and simultaneously make notes about every single topic everyday.Learning the syllabus is not sufficient to perform in the exam, but if you have not practiced mock tests consistently it will become difficult.
College and NET/JRF  preparation are two completely different types of exams. You need separate preparations for both the exams. If you are someone who has heard any of the myths above, then welcome to the club my friend! We have all been through this phase and through the same doubts.“Will I be able to crack NET/JRF? How will I do it? Will I be able to cover the whole syllabus on time? Will I be able to do more practice from the right sources?”
Maybe coaching is not necessary, but with the right guidance available, it definitely gives you the edge of performing better in the exam. In order to help aspirants like us who are living in distress even before beginning, SCITECH STUDY has developed its 5-Month Comprehensive Programme. The primary goal of the Programme has been to provide a reliable structure of comprehensive knowledge to aspirants and its application for all the stages of the NET/JRF Examination and Interview.SCITECH  STUDY believe in treating our goals just like its own, that is - TO QUALIFY THE NET/JRF EXAM!Here are the following ways how the 5-Month Comprehensive Programme is going to ensure your
success in the NET/JRF:

NET/JRF is not just for the ones who have always excelled academically. It is also for those who are willing to learn and who can keep their eyes and ears open throughout the year. But always remember, there is no alternative to hard work, discipline and dedication. We hope that by now, the doubts revolving around the NET/JRF have been clarified. And when you join us in our 5-Month Comprehensive Programme, remember that you have to adopt a multi-dimensional approach, integrate numerical solving ability with static knowledge, and practice MCQs and answer writing regularly. Also, stay consistent, focused, and be adaptive in your entire preparation. Wishing you good luck with your NET/JRF journey!

Preliminary Examination (Prelims):
Objective type questions.

General Studies Paper I covers subjects like History, Geography, Polity, Economy, Environment, Science & Technology, and Current Affairs.
General Studies Paper II (CSAT) tests aptitude and reasoning skills.
Main Examination (Mains):
Descriptive type questions.
