Heat Shrink Tubings
Heat Shrink Outdoor Termination Kit uses speciality polymers, extruded into tubings and moulded into various shapes for providing a range taking, long lasting, easy to install technique for Jointing and Terminating MV solid dielectric and paper insulated cables.
The formulation uses polyolefins mixed with various chemicals to make it suitable for use over cables. The following process is followed:
Moulded Shapes
Generally, the moulded shapes are designed to insulate, provide environmental seals, anti- tracking surfaces and creepage extensions. These are normally injection moulded and expanded using SPM’s and special mandrels / fixtures.

Silicon High Voltage High Temperature tape is used in MV cable terminations for providing an insulating, anti-tracking and UV resistant surface over the cable insulation as well as sealing against moisture ingress. Silicon High Voltage High Temperature tape tape when stretched and applied over its own layers, it amalgamates. It applies a positive pressure over the substrata.

– Cold shrink terminations do not require heat. They can be used for medium-high cable installations which do not require naked flame or heat source to install especially in the presence of flammable gases in potentially explosive atmospheres. The technician must simply remove the supporting cord during the installation process that causes the tube to shrink so that it fits onto the desired place. The cold shrinkable cable terminal offers excellent insulation and high resilience. At the same time, the triple air tightness sealing technology is used to ensure the superior airtightness of the product.

High voltage heat shrinks insulation tape heat shrink terminations, PHVIT is a heat-shrinkable, adhesive-coated tape that provides insulation enhancement and protection against accidentally induced discharge. It is designed to combine the integrity of a heat-shrinkable tubing with the versatility of a wraparound product. It is quick and easy to install. Upon application of heat the tape shrinks down and the adhesive lining melts amalgamating the overlapping layers together, producing a complete lap to lap seal. A single layer of PHVIT tape, two-thirds overlapped, will provide AC voltage withstand to at least 17.5 kV increasing to 25kV if a second layer is applied.
