Psst, hey guys… lemme introduce you to the main cast in my upcoming (as in still rather far in the future lol) animated series-

PROJECT NERINE!!! a fantasy/kinda sci-fi animated show I’ll hopefully be able to share with y’all, once I work out all the intricacies of that lmao

for now, here’s the cast!

Main character of the bunch, you’ll be following him most of the story :)

Toni’s best friend, and sorta mentor, also West Weird’s town sheriff

Jane’s daughter and Toni’s second best friend, also one of three cops in West Weird lol

The town’s combat specialist, he’s his own “military” force to assist the town in rough spots (he also does heroing on the side)

One of the best hunter’s around, although, he’s most known for his vast knowledge on the creatures and land in which this strange fantastical story takes place (aka the Fayelands)

Another hunter! She’s a weapon seller as well as the best food supplier around (given the unreliable convince stores in town..)

head of everything and anything medical related! (His words, not mine) he doesn’t do much besides that…

Fashion designer as well as the communicator for West Weird, doing their best to make other towns like good ol West Weird

Homecoming(Pt.12)

"Do we have to go to school today?" JJ groans cuddling with Callie.

"Yes, we have a test today." Callie gets out of his arms to get ready for school and for Kiara to pick them up.

"Are we telling Kie and Pope about us or do we want to keep it a secret for a while?" JJ asks as he gets ready too.

"Us dating a secret? JJ would you even be able to do that?" Callie laughs at him.

"I could try but I'll probably fail."

"Exactly, you're going to be so obvious." Callie kisses him heading out as Kie honks her horn.

"Where's J?" Pope asks as Callie gets in the back.

"He's slowly coming." She says as JJ comes out of the house rushing to get into the car.

School was boring like always but JJ was making sure he didn't fail at keeping the secret, "Kiss me quickly before anyone sees." JJ pops up next to Callie as she walks to class.

"You're going to fail." She shakes her head at him.

"I don't care anymore." He wraps his arms around her waist so he picks her up carrying her to class.

During Mr. Sunn's class, a man walks in asking for Pope so the three look at him as he walks on into the hall. When he comes back shows the three the letter with the wheat symbol.

"What the f-," Mr. Sunn looks over at JJ, "Fu...fu...fudge?" JJ corrects himself.

Afterward, they go to the library to read the letter Pope got from the Scholarship Committee. The letter states that they have evidence that will prove that John B is innocent. To discuss it further, the people who wrote the letter wanted a meeting with Pope later that night in Charleston.

Pope goes to get the vehicle and Callie heads home to let Tess know where they were going and what for. "You're not going." Scarlett tells her daughter.

"Yes, I am. This woman has evidence to clear John B."

"John B is dead. Get over it." Scarlett groans.

"Okay, first off I wasn't telling you I was leaving. I was telling aunt Tess because legally she's my guardian, not you. Secondly, John B and Sarah are alive they texted us." Callie corrects her mother.

"Tess, tell her what Anna told you about since you were talking about worrying about Callie." Scarlett looks over at her sister.

"What?"

"Anna thinks Bordering school is a good idea for Kiara and said I should maybe think about you too." Tess lets her know.

"Boarding school? I'll see you both when I get back."

Callie leaves the house getting in the truck outside with Pope and JJ, "How are we all fitting in here?"

"You can sit down on my lap." JJ winks her a wink.

When they pick up Kiara, she was arguing with her parents and Callie couldn't stand her parents. On the ferry Kie talks about her parents wanting to send her to boarding school, Callie adds that Anna got to her aunt Tess about it as well.

"I'm not going to boarding school. They're gonna have to kidnap me, tie me up, and throw me in a van." Kiara tells them.

"Same, we can both run off so we don't have to go." Callie lays her head on Kie's shoulder.

"Sounds like a plan." She rests her head on top of Callie's.

On the way, while driving the truck started to smoke so they had to pull over. At night while they were talking about getting the truck fixed the girls just looked at each other upset about the thought of boarding school.

"I thought my aunt would never do that. But now Scarlett is back trying to make her do certain decisions. Hell, even Will adds his two cents." Callie huffs.

"My mom is just so worried that I'm gonna be a Pogue that she's willing to send me to boarding school." Kie sighs.

"Your mom is a Kook, mine is a Pogue so it's weirder coming from mine. We may technically be half Kook but we're Pogues by heart."

"Yes, you both are." JJ wraps his arms around Callie's shoulders kissing the side of her head, "But this one belongs to me."

Kiara looks at the two, "She belongs to you? Am I missing something?" She laughs.

"I told you, you would fail." Callie laughs looking back at him.

"Are you two finally together?" Kie smiles at them.

"Yes, we are." Callie tells her as JJ kisses her head.

After the truck gets fixed the group parks the truck in a field and sleep in the back of the truck. "Night everyone." Pope tells the three.

"Night." Callie says with her eye closed laying to the left of JJ. He rolls over to cuddle her and they both fall fast asleep.

The next day they arrive in Charleston and arrive at their destination, but only Pope is allowed inside while the others wait in the truck. As they lead Pope away they follow in the truck but lose them. They get out to look and as Carla's guy is about to taser Pope, they show up to prevent him, and the four run through the streets of Charleston when the truck breaks down again.

"I think I'm cramping." Pope groans as they run.

"Well run through it!" Callie shouts back at him.

As they run into John B and Sarah, the girls hop on while Pope and JJ push it for more speed before hopping on too. As they all get on the boat they hug each other and talk about what's happened.

"Okay, so you really go married?" Kie asks Sarah as the three girls eat watermelon.

"It wasn't exactly legal, but... yeah." Sarah give them a smile, "Am I crazy, or is there definitely something going in between you and Pope?"

"Maybe."

"That's not a no." Sarah smiles.

"That's not a no. But Callie and JJ are officially together." Kie adds.

"Wait, really? It's about time." Sarah smiles at Callie.

Now that the gang is all back in Outer Banks, they get some beers and have a mini party. "So I hear that the best friends are a thing now." Sarah looks at JJ as he gets in the hot tub next to Callie.

"Wait, what?" John B looks at them.

"That's right baby! Callie Warner is my girlfriend!" JJ shouts then grabs Callie by the chin giving her a sweet kiss.

John B gives them a smile happy for his best friends but very deep down hurt that she actually chose JJ over him. They were super close first when they were younger, "Just don't hurt our best friend."

"Why would I ever do that? I've been dreaming of this since kindergarten." JJ laughs.

"I thought you became friends in the fourth grade?" Kie tilts her head.

"We did but I told Callie I loved her since the day I saw her in kindergarten but was too scared to talk to her until the fourth grade when John B started talking to her." JJ explains making her and Sarah says that's so sweet.

Time passes having fun and everyone was watching JJ and Pope play around. When Pope walks off Kiara follows so JJ goes to where Callie was sitting. He moves her so she can sit on his lap.

"I leave, and all this is what happens." John B says about the four.

"You blaming me?" JJ asks him as he holds Callie.

"Just a little bit. Your boy's out. Beer time."

"You guys are the one that died, okay." JJ tells them.

"Literally one job, JJ. No Pogue on Pogue macking." Sarah laughs.

"I don't like that job because that means I can't do this." JJ kisses Callie making her giggle kissing him back before getting up so JJ can go to John B.

"The rule can be broken with you two." Sarah tells Callie.

"Good, because I prefer to kiss JJ compared to your brother. Yeah, while you were dead... you missed a lot." Callie laughs at Sarah's face.

While the four were talking and the other two took off on the boat, John B hears a car door so they climb the tree to hide. They see Barry with a gun and Rafe with him walking around.

"Where the hell are you?" Rafe says as they look down at him. "Callie?" Rafe calls out so the three look at her, "We need to talk, please."

When Barry comes out they bicker and Rafe shoots the gun almost hitting JJ in the tree making Callie cover her mouth.

The next morning when Kie and Pope come back the four tell them they had to leave because Rafe and Barry know John B and Sarah are back. Sarah comes up with the idea to go talk to her dad being sure Ward would pick her over Rafe.

When she gets back through the police show up surrounded them so they try running away. JJ had the gun making them worry but John B persuades them to surrender. But with the department still believing John B murdered Sheriff Peterkin, one of the officers beats John B up.

John B gets placed into a cell and is charged with murder in the first degree, with a maximum sentence of the death penalty.

"Can you please shut up? Of course, you think the system worked because it was made to protect you and people like you." Kie says outside to Ward.

"He shouldn't even be in court! You should, cause you're a murderer. You have a lot of nerve showing up to court." Callie steps forward pointing at him so he tells her she's upset.

"Upset? No, I'm not just upset!" Both girls say walking towards him but are stopped by the police.

JJ starts talking about the stupidest plan every one to Kiara, Callie and Pope back at the house, "What's the plan? We kidnap Shoupe?" Kie asks him.

"Maybe, like, that's not the worst idea actually."

"It's not? That's actually the worst idea ever." Callie tells him before walking out into the rain getting in her aunt's car to go see her dad.

When she got to his place he was confused to see her since she walked out of their lunch they haven't talked, "Callie?"

"If you wanna make up for everything you have ever done can you help John B get a good lawyer?" She says soaking wet from the rain.

"I know he's innocent-,"

"Then help my friend out! He could get the death penalty! He's only seventeen!" Callie shouts at him.

Will shakes his head at his daughter, "You need new friends. I know you think you're a Pogue-,"

"I am a Pogue! You married and had a baby with a Pogue! You tried being a Pogue! You want me to be the opposite of you? Get with a Kook and have a baby with them?" Callie looks at him.

"Yes, I want you to get with a Kook because life is so much easier. I regret trying to live like a Pogue." Will tries to explain.

"Well as someone who has slept with a Kook and a Pogue... I chose the Pogue because I see a life with them over the Kook." Callie tells her father.

"If you want the Pogue life... I'm not giving you the money for John B. If I give you any money it's to send you to Boarding School." Will huffs so Callie storms out of the house going home.

As soon as she got home her mother started giving her shit as well, "Someone what to tell me how Will knows about boarding school?" She asks her mother and aunt.

"I contacted him..." Scarlett speaks up, "We want to make sure-,"

Callie cuts her off, "You both left me! I don't want you two to try to be good parents anymore. Aunt Tess, you know the things I do are for my friends."

"You still need to follow some rules, Callie. I'm the boss of you being your guardian. I let you do whatever but you still need to respect us." Tess sighs.

"I do respect you but my friends are my family too. They need me and I won't leave them again. I won't do it. I'm a Pogue." Callie says before her mother smacks her across the face leaving her and Tess speechless.

"You're a Pogue... I get it but do what I failed at. Find a good Kook and have a better life than what I got stuck with. It's shouldn't be hard being half Kook." Scarlett tells her, "Go to your room." Callie looks at her aunt going up to her room packing a bag to leave this stupid place.

The Angel(Pt.15)

The next morning Kie, Pope, and Callie were first to wake up getting ready for school while John B and JJ were passed out still. "Callie, wake your boyfriend up." Pope huffs.

"J, get up. If you don't I'm breaking up with you." She tells him so he gets up half asleep still making her laugh. "Where you going? We're going this way." Callie grabs John B who starts walking around.

"I'm starving. I need some pizza." JJ tries to walk away from the door.

"No, you missed breakfast." Pope walks him out as JJ grabbed a slice.

"Come on sleepyheads." Callie helps walk both boys to the van.

As Pope parks at school, JJ goes head first forward making Callie look back at him, "That didn't wake you up?" She gets out going to open the door.

"Let's go. Up and at 'em, boys." Pope gets out of the van so the other two follow to class.

In the first class of the day John B and JJ get mad at Pope and at Callie for not telling them there was a test today.

"I told you we had a test this morning." Pope whispers to them.

"No, you didn't."

"It's literally the first thing he said to you." Callie has Pope's back.

"Can I peek over your shoulder?" JJ leans forward to ask Callie.

"If you get caught it's on you." She tells him so he kisses the back of her head.

"I fucking love you."

After class walking to the next, Mr. Sunn calls the group to give Pope a diary, Denmark's diary, and from this, he learns that the Cross of Santo Domingo was on the Royal Merchant.

The Pogues go to the bonfire, with JJ telling John B that it may be best to give Sarah some space. "That's you. I'm out of here with my baby." JJ gives his beer to Callie to shotgun so she does making him proud of her.

The two end off alone to the side drinking and relaxing as Pope joins them, "Please don't make me feel like a third wheel." He tells them.

"I can't make any promises." JJ holds Callie in his arms as they rock to the music.

"You guys make me sick. How did you, JJ, get an actual girlfriend before me?" Pope laughs at them.

"Because my childhood friend moved back, who had the same feelings towards me."

"Don't worry, Pope. There's a girl out there waiting to meet you. And when you meet her, you will know. Trust me." Callie tells him making him smile.

"Thank you, I'm going to get a drink." He walks off leaving the two alone.

"You do know you're my first girlfriend, right?" JJ turns Callie to face him.

"I figured that. And you're my first boyfriend." She leans up to kiss him so he pulls her closer to him.

JJ walks backwards so he can sit down on a little wall that was the perfect height for them. JJ immediately pulls Callie onto his lap and grips her ass.

"Hey, we're in public." She leans out of the kiss.

"You didn't fight back when I pulled you onto my lap." He kisses the tip of her nose.

She just stares into his eyes smiling, "Do we really need the gold to get married?" She asks him so he smiles bigger.

"It would be nice but no, we don't need the gold. Before Sarah dumped John B, they got married with no gold." He tells her, "So will you marry me, Callie Ivy Warner?" He cups her face.

"Yes, I will marry you." She gives him a sweet kiss so he takes off his necklace putting it on her.

"Until I can get you a ring."

"It's perfect." They smile till they are rudely interrupted by hearing a fight break out so they go jump in before the five leave.

Back at home the group sits around the fire eating, "It's going to be hot, JJ." Callie watches him try to pick up the food. "J..." He tries again burning his fingers more.

"I'm just so hungry." He tries to pick it up again.

"Hey, hey. Somebody is here." John B tells the four.

Kie asks if JJ has the gun making them bicker that he doesn't have it for once. Instead of it being any Kooks it was Renfield appears. With bow hunters in the background, he shows them that he means serious business. So Pope is forced into reluctantly handing over the real key to Renfield.

"Hey, are we keeping us a secret or what?" Callie asks JJ as they lay down together.

"I don't want to tell them just yet. I want to enjoy this to myself for a while."

"Another broken couch." John B sighs.

"You gotta sleep there tonight." Pope tells JJ.

"I always sleep there." He tells him as Sarah shows up bickering with John B before she tells them why she's there.

The Pogues learn that the diary states that there is a holy garment within the cross that will heal people from sickness, hence why the gravely ill Carla wants it so badly.

Turns out Denmark painted a map on the wall, which leads to the discovery that Denmark buried the treasure at the foot of the angel. Wheezie explains that Carla showed up last night and they ripped off all the wallpaper with Rafe's help.

Within time, The Pogues stumble across Carla, who is working with Rafe, and her men who find a casket buried beneath the angel oak. Believing that it contains the cross, Carla has them open the casket immediately. To her shock, it only contains a corpse. With Carla and her group leaving in defeat, The Pogues go in for a closer look. Pope realizes that the corpse belongs to Cecilia, Denmark's wife, meaning that the treasure buried at the foot of the angel referred to his dead wife.

JJ notices there is a part of the tree that resembles a section of the painting from the Island Room so he and Callie climb up to it.

"Go for it." JJ tells Callie.

"Excuse me? I went into a storm drain, remember?" Callie looks at him.

"She did go in the storm drain." Pope and Kie say at the same time.

"Yeah. No, I'm gonna do it. It's just..."

"He's scared." Callie whisperers.

"I'm not scared, dude." He tells her.

"I'm a dude now? Wow..." Callie says so JJ sticks his hand in the hold feeling something then plays like something got him. "I hate you, asshole." Callie slaps him as they all got worried.

They find out the cross is at the church so they head off to see the tide came in but this time when they try to go through the side getting stuck. Kie suggests her dad's truck so JJ and Callie go with her while the other three stay with Twinkie.

When they get to the Chateau, JJ runs to go get the winch. Both girls watch him fall so he shouts that he's okay.

"I noticed after the bonfire... you're wearing JJ's necklace he never takes off." Kie turns to face Callie, who was sitting in the backseat.

"Yeah." Callie plays with it.

"What's the special meaning?" Kiara smiles.

"You willing to keep a secret till JJ wants to tell everyone? You can't tell him I told you as well." Callie gives her a look.

"You know us girls can keep secrets from the guys."

"It's basically my wedding ring... Last night at the bonfire he asked me to marry him. He had this whole thing planned out if we got the gold so I said can't we still get married without the gold." Callie makes Kiara's jaw drop.

"Oh, my god! I promise to keep this to myself till he's ready to tell everyone. I'm so happy for y'all. Way more than John B and Sarah before they split up. I always knew if JJ was to marry someone, it would be you." Kie gives her a smile.

When JJ comes back the girls see Luke with him and say no way getting out of the truck. "Just get in the truck." He tells the girls.

"I'm sorry. The Twinkie's drowning right now, JJ." Kie tells him.

"What is the plan? What is this?" Callie asks.

"Listen to me. Listen to me, okay." He grabs both of them, "I need to get into the marina at the Island Club. There's a boat there he can take. You got the sticker on your truck. Twenty minutes, that's all I need." He tells them.

"The Twinkie's gonna be a submarine in 20 minutes." Callie reminds him.

"Just leave him and we can come back." Kie sighs.

"The cops are after him! If I do this now, maybe I will never have to do it again" He gets in the truck.

Kie turns to Callie, "I hate your husband." She sighs before they both get in the truck.

"Scoot over." Callie says not wanting to walk around so Luke moves behind JJ.

As JJ rushes into the store to get a few things for his dad, Luke pisses off the girls. "You're a terrible father, you know that." Callie turns her head to look at Luke.

"Like you don't have one as well?" He looks at her.

"Do you have any idea how special your son is? Like, even a clue?" Kie speaks up now.

"He's a thief is that he is."

"What are you? You're just a wasted local salt who never did shit but get messed up and hustle people. Not exactly impressive." Kie adds.

"You know, you sound just like your mama. She was just like that in high school. Always thought she was better than everybody else. Kook princess." Luke tells her, "The complete opposite of your mom, Pogue princess. Slept around with everyone but landed a shitty Kook." He looks at Callie. "I bet you both are a lot like your mamas. Slumming with the bad boys. You're ungrateful like her and you're picking the worst one to get with." Luke says so Kie elbows him in the face and Callie punches him in the jaw before JJ comes back.

Callie sees Luke eye the knife so she snatches it from the seat, "Don't even think about it or I will stab this thing right into your throat. No noise. No mess." She glares at him. He goes to speak but JJ gets his attention so Callie gives him a smile.

When they get to the place for Luke to leave the girls flip him off so JJ walks him away. "Really threatening him with a knife?" Kie looks back at Callie.

"He was going to go for it because we hit him. He deserves death for what he's done to JJ."

While JJ helps his dad, he gives him shit for giving the girls crap. "Everything I have, you fricking ruin." JJ tells his father.

"I don't try to. Just happens naturally. Plus your pretty friend, Callie is just going to leave you for a fucked up Kook. Her mother left a Pogue for a Kook. Trust me, I know it will happen to you." Luke tells him, "No, Morgan will stay with a Maybank." Luke mumbles but JJ hears.

"What? How close were you with Scarlett?" JJ asks his father.

"My first girlfriend in high school before Anna introduced her to Mike and his friend Will. Bitch left me like I was nothing. Callie will do the same to you for a Kook."

"Callie's not her mother and won't do the same to me like her mother did to you. Is it hard for you to believe someone actually loves me? Callie isn't just some girl, dad. She's my girlfriend, no she's my wife... well going to be my wife legally as soon as we can do it. She chose me over a shitty Kook and my best friend. I know she's the one." JJ stands up to his dad so Luke pulls him into a hug.

Back at the truck Callie and Kie get out walking towards JJ to see him watching his dad take off, "You don't have to worry about him hurting you anymore." Callie wraps her arms around his neck.

"I'm finally free." He squeezes her so the three walk back towards the truck to go help their friends finally.
