Because it's not that Firefly is being some kind of slick manipulator putting on a show. It's just that Earth sees how utterly lonely, touch-starved, sad and desperate for attention he really is inside. His emotional matrix is just as broken as Eclipse's; but it flips to fear instead of rage. He wants someone to care so badly, but he's terrified to trust anyone because of how he was treated and what he had to become to survive.

I'm sorry I've been quiet for almost two weeks. I am not enjoying my new work assignment. I've gone from not making enough money and being kind of content to making even LESS money and getting micro-managed too. I am not doing well chat. I feel like a little kid starving for visual stimuli in one of those all-beige minimalist playrooms. I'm also incredibly anxious because I'm suddenly having to deal with a lot of random people and I'm terrified of getting fucking covid again because I still have no health insurance.

Ya'll can blame @cancelforcipe for this one. Took some inspiration from comments in tags they made, and this is the results. Forcipe wanted sexy music to play every time Lord Eclipse takes off his armour for maintenance. Servant Sun is happy to provide, after downloading a program on smooth jazz and saxophone playing.
