writing away my ateez PCD💀
I met you on a September night in the middle of a sea of strangers, screaming my liquefied heart out into fleeting utopia written by stories in the form of faraway muses for a girl’s blooming fantasia.
I. Fire eyes and zealous blood crashed through the glass like a wave in a storm starved of savagery, sweeping me off my feet in the inception of a new age, the age of the opal at the centre of the world. In the spotlight, the opal glimmers white and unleashes its magic within, seven more colours shining as a brazen aurora - the eye of the storm. An eye I’ve stared into long enough to be buoyantly lost at sea watching longingly like a mermaid for the ships that will pass, soaking in the colours and sounds of their boisterous parties. Sometimes one too many ships come through, and I hope the stars tell their captain that the waters are calm enough to drop the anchor and sleep at night. He looks to the stars every sunset, yet he must always go on. He’s deafening hues and glittering dreams. He’s exquisite in his ferocious grind with beauty flowing from him in tunes and melodies that ripple through the vast ocean and glisten under the twilight. The stars never disappear after sunrise.
II. Too much stardust in the making of one person births new stars in the form of eyes which brim with uncontainable light spilling down smiling cheeks, strawberry-stained with soft, tender love. He’s the king of the stars, the light in the ship’s long nights spent sailing through quiet waters and turbulence. Every other star would fall from the sky to grant his wishes and renew to see him again, wrapped in pastel pink primroses that bloom in his glow. He holds the stars in his hands and tells them they are pretty, but doesn’t know we are more beautiful for the beauty that ebbs through his palms and his voice.
III. When he lets words and songs fall he’s the warmth in running a hand through the fur of a golden retriever after an afternoon in the sun. Evanesced honey encapsulates his golden being, a sweet promise of falling six feet and an inch deep into eternal sunshine. He reaches to the stars and takes them with him as the ship cruises into the ever changing horizon that echoes dreams of ballads he hasn’t even sung, but already fill the air. Say his name, and he is luminous.
IV. Existence meets artistry when body and soul is beautiful enough to rile the sea and capture the stars upon a graceful gaze, a smile ever so slight. The art he is blares across the seven seas in his quiet and he is divine, dazzling light and branded by Aphrodite’s kiss as her incarnation that walks the earth and sails the waves. A blue bird’s velvet feathers are smooth as an enchanted baritone for spellbound galaxies raining meteors for statuesque perfection come alive. The flower dances in the breeze, delicately lethal as poisoned perfume. I’m in love.
V. The most majestic mountain commands all eyes on its unrelenting spirit: dreamer, diamond, fever dream itself, a harbour for the ship. The mountain lives in a boy sculpted by celestial hands, gorgeous in a dancing illusion of menace before a winged heart cherry-coloured with romantic fervour. His voice bounces across the water and into the reflection of the stars, like a cue to let go of the breaths they had held, and breathe. He smiles like summer sun, dimples deep as the sea below that might overflow with the stars’ zeal. He’s all bewitching and more, more, more.
VI. He’s a flame, sunset-chrome fireworks ripping through the skies and stars turn to moths when his words cascade in rolling thunders. He’s in the lingering ring in my ears, the roar of thousands of voices, the arrow to hearts that skip a beat every time he proclaims his dynasty. Wake up world, his eyes say, and don’t stop staring. Yet he is cotton clouds and a sprinkle of rain to a hot day in August. A laughing conundrum, an untitled song.
VII. Can stars wish upon themselves? For ivory silk, black velvet, brimming heart and cherry lips. Foxy eyes that twinkle like a million fairy lights when he laughs out the answer to cloudy grey days. Torrents of love borne by one shining soul flood whole stadiums when he dances like lithe butterfly wings or morphs into a vivacious panther stealing stars with a biting gaze. He’s so achingly beautiful (he’s wonderland). All the stars would empty their light on the surface of the ocean just so he could see his reflection painted in loving reverence.
VIII. The apple of the eye of the storm boils the ocean with spellbinding song, raising magical mist all the way to shroud the stars in lavender, violet, indigo fantasies. He sings an eternity of new galaxies to life, one mortal holding up the cosmos with the finger every star is wrapped around, and new stars are born each day. The universe is still when his music fades, each star unblinking in awaiting for the next ship his smile may grace. Waiting, waiting, shining, still here. His timeless smile tells the world he is radiant even in the silence between songs - a lover loved to the edge of each universe.
You are here in the years I walk alone, sealing the cracks in the rocky road:
The curtain call of my teenage dream, the shore of my wild unknown.
You’re a September song I’ll dance into the dusk, ever and after the silence falls.

Japanese Publishing Giant Shueisha Establishes Shueisha Games, Introduces First Four Titles
Tumblr media
Shueisha, the Japanese publisher behind Shonen Jump and some of the biggest manga titles in the world, is stepping into the arena of games with a recently established company. Featuring Shinichiro Hirono as representative director and Masahiko Ibaraki, Motokazu Kitabatake, Yoshihisa Heishi and Masana Takahashi as company directors, Shueisha Games currently has multiple titles in the works for later this year and beyond.
Among the revealed games we have tentatively-titled 3D action game ONI, due out on unspecified platforms in 2022. This one is being developed by Small World Entertainment under the direction of Kenei Design.
Tumblr media
The Tower of Children is a survival roguelike adventure that's on the way this summer.
Tumblr media
Captain Velvet Meteor in The Jump+ Dimensions finds a shy boy named Damien moving to Japan and eventually fighting alongside Shonen Jump+ heroes in his imaginary world. The tactical action game is coming to Nintendo Switch this summer.
Tumblr media
UKIYO is a cyberpunk adventure with a distinctly Japanese aesthetic that's being penciled in for sometime between 2022 and early 2023.
Tumblr media
Beyond these titles, there's a new mobile game in the works at a major overseas game company, featuring character designs by a famous Weekly Shonen Jump artist. The release date is TBA but its global plans will begin in Japan and Asia.
Tumblr media
There's also a "Multiplayer Speed Trick Action Title" in the works, as well as new large-scale projects that will team Shueisha's popular writers and editorial knowledge up with major game companies. Stay tuned for more on all of these and other titles in the pipeline soon, and check out the official website for Shueisha Games.

Felcities of Rapid Motion- Chekov x Reader
A/N: I’ve survived two 8am lectures and I’ve got another two to go. Also, archaeology is the bastard lovechild of Science and History, pass it on. I’m so sorry it took so long, anon, I got a little stuck but then I figured it out. Also, thanks to everyone for sending in prompts, they should all be finished very soon :) I’m still open for all sorts of things though :)))))))
This is just a little Jane Austen inspired, but like not really, I decided Regency AU was a terrible idea unless you wanna 60k fic it. Also feat Bond!Karl Urban (hehehehe). Also, I wanted to try something a little new with romance that isn’t as IN YOUR FACE is kinda just starting out and blossoming, hopefully it’s still good???
Title: Felicities of Rapid Motion Tags: Chekov x Reader, Blatant Archaeology, Bones’ southerness Ratings: T (I really should wash my mouth out with soap) Words:1,300+ Prompt: “You look... You like you should; eyes filled with stars and a smile that could make a goddess jealous.” Prompt List: here (x) Master List: here (x)
The Felicities of Rapid Motion
It is a truth universally acknowledged that a Vulcan High Councillor and a Star Fleet Captain in possession of mutually beneficial intentions must be in want of a ball.
It was a rare occasion aboard the Enterprise, and rarer still back in the Academy. But the thought of a Ball wile drifting in the endless stars and galaxies of the universe was enough for every crewmate aboard the scientific vessel to fucking wet themselves.
“And you, missy? You got a date?” You rolled your eyes at Bones and returned your eyes to the fragments of stone you had been gently scraping away at. Perhaps if you were lucky, there would be traces of the ancient civilisation’s DNA left in it, before it was severely affected by the meteor impact.
“I don’t know, Bones. I mean, I’m so close to figuring out this little detail. You know, it could completely re-write Xenoarchaeology’s interpretation of the fall of-“
“Okay Ensign Y/L/N, we get it, you’re gonna conquer the universe with your historical mumbo-jumbo.” Bones gently rolled his eyes before leaning on the bench, a little concerned. “But you gotta have a break, kiddo, can’t have you fallin’ asleep in the labs and on equipment.”
“No, I mean I can’t even find a date!” You laughed a little, though really not minding the fact. Or at least you thought you didn’t… never mind. “And besides, as if I have a ballgown or something to wear.”
“Well unfortunately for you, I’m a doctor not a fairy godmother.” Bones twirled a stirring rod that you had left beside a couple of beakers and test tubes. “Well, about dates, you can’t ask the people you have lunch with, can you?”
“Well, I tried setting up Montez with Fonteyn and that absolutely failed because Montez it turned out just wanted to get into my pants,” You began ticking off people in your little dining hall group. “And, well, It just doesn’t bother me as much as I thought it would-“
“What about Russian Whiz kid?” Bones tried with a raised brow.
“God no, I turned him down because I thought it was a joke. Turns out it was a real date.” You shuddered a little at the memory. There was no way that Ensign Chekov was serious, or so you had thought. You’d scoffed a little in the turbo lift, unable to believe what it was you were hearing. But it turned out he’d been in earnest.
And then the guilt began to eat at you, your heart sinking in complete and utter terror, unable to believe how callously you’d just turned Chekov down.
You thought for the briefest glimmer of a second that you’d seen the hurt pass before his hazel eyes. But in an instant they glimmered mischievously once again, a puppyish grin pulling at his mouth and his fingers raking through curls.
You’d fucked up. You’d done fucked up.
So you did whatever was humanely possible to avoid Chekov until the whole fiasco had blown over.
So pretty much until the galaxy collapsed in on itself.
Chekov realised that in retrospect, using the phrase “Did you know that the phrase cinePADD and chill was actually inwented in Russia?” to pick up a girl, was a terrible mistake. Especially if the intention to date said girl was rather serious.
But now, sweating in his rarely-worn tuxedo, he was genuinely worried. Ensign Y/L/N didn’t have a date as far as he knew (Bones told Uhura who told Sulu who told Kirk who told Spock who told quite literally the entirety of the Bridge), and while not everyone was required to have a date, he hadn’t seen her all night. Well, the night was still young.
Perhaps he just hadn’t seen her amidst rich silks and sumptuous velvets. Perhaps he’d just missed her, wearing a thin waft of chiffon and dissipating like autumn fog.
But as the gala drew on and the band played more songs, it became apparent to Pavel that she simply wasn’t there. She wasn’t mingling with remaining members of Vulcan council, trying glean pieces of history, or with Star Fleet officials, trying to find a post to some undiscovered planet.
“She’s not here,” Bones raised a ridiculously well-groomed brow, taking a sip of whiskey. It was rather difficult for Pavel to get a word in with the doctor as he had been besieged with various members of the crew, attempting to get laid, preferably with Bones still in the suit. “Decided to stay behind in the labs,”
“Oh,”
“Don’t worry Chekov, you had nothing to do with it,” Bones clapped him hard enough on his shoulder blade for his grimace to give way to a slight wince of pain.
“Do you zink she’s lonely down zere?” Pavel hazarded a question, sure that Bones probably wouldn’t cuff him behind the head. The gentle implications of his statement said that it was definitely his fault that she was spending her time alone. Probably enjoying her time alone as it meant a certain escape from him or anyone else.
“Probably not, son, she’s got millennia-old bits of dead bastards.” Bones replied before swiftly walking away at the sight of an engineering lieutenant who seemed to have her feelers wrapped tightly around Bones whenever in the vicinity.
It seemed rather rude, Pavel finally decided; to simply leave her alone without at least saying sorry. Perhaps she had just panicked? Or perhaps she really did not like him, either way it warranted a proper apology. And someone had to be concerned for her wellbeing.
It soon dawned upon him, after several minutes she was not in any of the labs. He couldn’t spy her studious form in any of the reflective, sanitised surfaces- the sharp, alcoholic smell assaulting his nose.
Eventually he found himself wandering to the emptied mess hall, hoping that perhaps she was helping herself to a serving of synthesised ice-cream.
And there she was, sitting cross-legged upon the floor, still dressed in her uniform and her hair in it’s usual carefree style. She stared out quietly, head resting in her hands, seemingly unaware of the distant noises around her as her eyes glittered with the colourful glow of the nebula.
“Y/N?” Pavel hesitated a little as he slowly drew nearer and nearer, locked in her gravitational pull and unable to leave- not that he would want to. “Are you alright?”
“Hm? Oh, it’s nothing. I never really liked galas that much anyway.” She shrugged slightly before turning to face him, her cheeks dampened with slight tears. “I’m- I’m sorry about the whole… shitfest,”
“Eets’s alright, I vas terrible,” He laughed, deciding that it would be for the best to join her on the cold floor tucking his legs and wrapping his arms around them. “What?”
“The tuxedo suits you,” She smiled, reaching out to tap the bow-tie Sulu had painstakingly knotted for him as he fidgeted, Kirk adjusting Chekov’s insignia cufflinks. “Did everyone look lovely?”
“Qvite,” He nodded enthusiastically in memory of what could only be described as a blur of fabric and spilled drinks. “Bones vas running avay from everyone, Uhura vas dancing, Kirk vas singing. You’d look lovely with them,” he added as an after-thought.
“Me? No, no…” She protested quietly, turning her head away from his gaze and facing the nebula once again, the now golden glow casting swirling patterns of light, dancing upon her beautiful face. “I look terrible-“
“No. You look… you look as you should,” Chekov refuted in all earnest before softening, realising how much he was telling the truth. She did look at home, at peace with the uniform, wearing it with pride. “Mesmerising, vith eyes filled vith stars and a smile zat could make a goddess jealous.”
“That was… poetic.” She admitted, shaking her head but her dazzling smile gracing her face, wiping away the now drying tears. “Was it true?”
“Of course,” He answered. “Are you lonely? Vould you rather be at ze party?”
“No, no. I’ve got you, haven’t I?”
She was right, Chekov thought. He was incandescently happy by her side, simply sitting back and watching the nebula, the gala drowned out in the stillness and her presence.

Kaleidoscope (The Illustrated Man): Some of my favourite lines, and ideas.
‘They fell. They fell as pebbles fall down wells. They were scattered as jackstones are scattered from a gigantic throw. And now instead of men there were only voices- all kinds of voices, disembodied and impassioned, in varying degrees of terror and resignation.’
I can imagine this line as the astronauts names woven together- scribbles overlapping, changing shape and disintegrating into nothing. Motion, chaos, confusion, space.
‘But without the force units snapped to their shoulders they were meteors, senseless, each going to a separate and irrevocable fate.’
‘A period...’ ‘...elapsed while the first terror died and a metallic calm took it’s place. Space began to weave its strange voices in and out, in a great dark loom, crossing, recrossing, making a final pattern.’
‘It’s Earth for me. Back to old Mother Earth at ten thousand miles per hour. I’ll burn like a match.’
‘The others were silent, thinking of the destiny that had bought them to this, falling, falling, and nothing they could do to change it. Even the captain was quiet, for there was no command or plan he knew that could put things back together again.’
‘Falling, falling down space Hollis and the rest of them went in the long, endless dropping and whirling of silence.’
I feel like describes both their situation and how they must feel like drifting in space, really well.
‘...the other men chatted.’ ‘On and on; while they all fell. Lespere reminisced on the past, happy, while he fell to his death.’
‘It was so very odd. Space, thousands of miles of space, and these voices vibrating in the centre of it. No one visible at all, and only the radio waves quivering and trying to quicken other men into emotion.’
’That isn’t important.’ said Hollis. And it was not. It was gone. When life is over it is like a flicker of a bright film, an instant on the screen, all of it’s prejudices and passions condensed ad illuminated for an instant on space, and before you could cry out, ‘There was a happy day, there a bad one, there an evil face, there a good one,’ the film burned to a cinder, the screen went dark.'
'Did all dying people feel this way, as if they had never lived? Did life seem that short, indeed, over and done before you took a breath? Did it seem this abrupt and impossible to everyone, or only to himself, here, now, with a few hours left to him for thought and deliberation?’
'I'm not jealous of you any more, because it's as over for you as it is for me, and right now it's like it never was.'
'When anything's over, it's just like it never happened. Where's you life any better than mine, now? Now is what counts. Is it any better? Is it?'
'Yes, it's better!'
'How?'
'Because I got my thoughts, I remember!' cried Lespere,'
'Hollis knew he was right. There were differences between memories and dreams. He only had dreams of things he had wanted to do, while Lespere had memories of things done and accomplished. And this knowledge began to pull Hollis apart, with a slow, quivering precision.'
'But aren't we equal? he wondered. Lespere and I? Here, now? If a thing's over, it's done, and what good is it? You die anyway. But he knew he was rationalizing, for it was trying to tell the difference between a live man and a corpse. There was a spark in one, and not in the other- and aura, a mysterious element.'
'They came to death by separate paths and, in all likelihood, if there were kinds of death, their kinds would be as different as night from day. The quality of death, like that of life, must be of an infinite variety,'
''I've got myself into a meteor swarm, some little asteroids.'
'Meteors?'
'I think it's the Myrmidone cluster that goes out past Mars and in toward Earth every five years. I'm right in the middle. It's like a big kaleidoscope. You get all kinds of colours and shapes and sizes. God, it's beautiful, all that metal.'
Silence.
'I'm going with them.' said Stone. 'They're taking me off with them. I'll be damned.' He laughed.
Hollis looked to see but saw nothing. There were only the great diamonds and sapphire and emerald mists and velvet inks of space,'
I like this line because it helps you imagine how the astronauts must be in space- all of them falling in different directions, surrounded by explosions of colour, weaving through such a vast, 'empty' space.
'There was a kind of wonder and imagination in the thought of Stone going off in the Meteor swarm, out past Mars for years and coming in toward Earth every five years, passing in and out of the planet's Myrmidone cluster eternal and unending, shifting and shaping like the kaleidoscope colours when you were a child and held the tube to the sun and gave it a twirl.
'So long, Hollis,' Stone's voice, very faint now. 'So long.'
'Good luck,' shouted Hollis across thirty thousand miles.
'Don't be funny,' said Stone, and was gone.
'Now all the voices were fading, each on his own trajectory, some to Mars, others into farthest space.'
'The many good-byes. The short farewells. And now the great loose brain was disintegrating. The components of the brain which had worked so beautifully and efficiently in the skull case of the rocket ship firing through space were dying one by one; the meaning of their life together was falling apart.'
'And as the body dies when the brain ceases functioning, so the spirit of the ship and their long time together and what they meant to one another was dying.'
'Applegate was now no more than a finger blown from the parent body,'
'They were all alone. Their voices had died like echoes'
'There went the captain to the Moon; there Stone with the meteor storm, there Stimson; there Applegate toward Pluto; there Smith and Turner and Underwood and all the rest, the shards of the kaleidoscope that had formed a thinking pattern for so long, hurled apart.'
The line above is my favourite from the story. To me (and together with the lines on the same page just before it) I think it represents the relationship of the astronauts to each other so well. It shows how they worked together and what they meant to each other. It compares them to systems ceasing to function- no longer having meaning- when such vital components are missing. It captures the essence of these men's relationships, and what it means now that they're separated in death.
'When I hit the atmosphere, I'll burn like a meteor. 'I wonder,' he said, 'if anyone'll see me?'
The small boy on the country road looked up and screamed . 'Look, Mom, look! A falling star!'
The blazing white start fell down the sky of dusk in Illinois.
'Make a wish,' said his mother. 'Make a wish.'
On the last page of the story, Hollis is dying, heading for Earth. His thoughts are still on the life he had but never really lived. He thinks about anything he could do in his remaining moments to make up for that life, any good at all. He feels nothing as he hurtles towards his final destination, but his last thoughts are of dying without being able to do something, even for himself to know of in those last moments, and wonders if anyone will even see him hitting earth as a burning meteor.
