I'm thrilled to share with you a remarkable story behind the Santuario di Padre Pio in Cebu, a place that has captured my heart. This is my second visit to this sacred haven, and I'm still in awe of its beauty and significance.
For years, a devout priest, dedicated to Padre Pio's legacy, wanted to build a sanctuary in his honor. They considered various locations, but each plan faced insurmountable obstacles, delaying their dream.
The priest prayed fervently for guidance. He asked Padre Pio for a sign: "Let me see roses inside your sacred place, where no flowers are allowed, within this hour.
And then, the impossible happened! A nun appeared, carrying a bouquet of vibrant red roses, and placed them before Padre Pio's image.
The priest knew Cebu was the chosen location. With renewed conviction, they built the sanctuary, and every obstacle vanished.
The Santuario di Padre Pio in Cebu stands as a testament to Padre Pio's loving intercession and guidance.

I vividly remember my first visit to the Santuario, touching the glass enclosing Saint Padre Pio's relic. Tears flowed effortlessly, like a faucet. Suddenly, I felt a gentle hand on my head, but I didn't have time to open my eyes to see who it was. In that moment, I felt an extraordinary energy that intensified my heartfelt emotions.

As I approached the altar table, I noticed a beautiful display of rosaries. I wondered if they were offered by visitors or had a special significance. My curiosity led me to examine them closer.
That's when I spotted a plastic envelope on the left side of the altar. Without opening it, I examined it with my eyes and noticed it contained a photo and mementos. To my surprise, I saw that the person who left it was celebrating passing her licensure exam. It was a heartfelt testimony to the power of prayer and Saint Padre Pio's intercession.

The glass-encased image of Madonna delle Grazie looked stunning, lit up by natural light from outside.

I invited my colleagues, Mariel, Micah and Jenky, to join me on a weekend outing, knowing they were seeking a distraction from their worries. They enthusiastically agreed to visit the sanctuary with me.
What struck me was Jenky, who's been preoccupied, observing me write down my thoughts after praying. Without my suggestion, they mirrored my action.

A candle-lighting area with prayer displays on overhead tarpaulins.

Capturing their moments outside, I couldn't help but smile at the photos of these three incredible women. Their distinct personalities shine through, and their love for each other endures despite imperfections and misunderstandings. Wishing their friendship continued growth and strength. May God bless them and their loved ones.
