Arik raised a brow at the question. He had glanced towards her, having forgone their armor for the evening as they set up camp. He turned to her fully, not breaking eye contact with her. A slight twitch on the corners of his mouth gave a hint of a smirk on his typically stoic face.

“Only if you don’t mind.” As if to push the topic, he removed his tunic and moved to place it on his pack. “If you do, I can always  turn the other way....”

Offers Arik a small bunch of flowers she picked. they're all different colours and shapes and sizes. "Here you go. Aren't they pretty? I've not seen most of these before..." :3

Arik examined the flowers, taking in the colors and shapes and mind considering the meaning of each of them and if they were of some danger or not. He felt a bit of concern at Naerys, an educated mage, not having seen them. He gently took them and gave a bit of a shrug.

“I’ve seen a few of them in the gardens of the nobles in Denerim,” he said. “They always liked to import flowers to seem better off than they were.”

DAY 05: favorite multimuses

i’ve been trying to bring multimuses in on past days b/c i want to acknowledge certain characters on said blogs, but here i’ll just highlight the blogs as a whole!

@aniente​ - muses: ameridan, merrill, evangeline, gatt, adrian, dalish, missne (oc), sabriel (oc)

a dragon age multimuse who i featured a couple times b/c i just. really admire their choice of muses as well as the writing! there’s not a muse on here i don’t love, even those like adrian that i’m not overly familiar with given i’ve yet to finish asunder. i can feel ciri’s passion when they write about each of their muses, and it invests me in each one. i’d honestly love a thread w/ each of their muses one day. gotta catch ‘em all. 

@burnsbriiight​ - muses: mai (a:tla), kitty pryde (x-men), marie-elise (da oc), annuneth (da oc), patricia anne (da oc), adahleni (da oc)

first, it was apparently rachel’s birthday the other day, so happy birthday! second, mai is one of my a:tla faves (i actually rped her back in the day) and although i just followed this multimuse i’m excited to see her rps w/ mai. she’s an underrated character.

i’ve been following this blog since my mass effect days, back when they were bowtied, and they provided a lot of rly inspirational posts to anons and such on their dash! seeing them again, only now with more doctors, was a very exciting experience!!! it’s not something i’d seen before in the dw fandom, and i’ve adored what i’ve seen from them, even as someone who is only familiar with new doctor who.

i’ve only listed erran’s primary dragon age characters, but she rps tolkien as well as having a list of secondary muses! her ocs have interesting and complex backstories that really dig deep into dragon age lore, specifically fereldan lore and the civil war. they are such natural parts of the lore that i had to mark them (oc) otherwise you might confuse them with canons like eleanor and loghain.

multifandom, and some are fandoms i’m unfamliar with, which just goes to show how talented they are b/c i’m v selective with non-da multimuses! i’ve talked about peebee and miryin, but i also have been v pleased with seeing bolin on my dash! he was one of my faves from lok. and every time an isabela hits on solas another five minutes are added to my life.

a blog full of lovely ocs based upon the pc backstories given to us in-game (for the most part!). don’t let the names fool you, though, as not all of them are the heroes. some are companion ocs, which are honestly some of my fave ocs in darp!

there isn’t a muse here who isn’t fascinating and beautifully written. with the exception of moe, they’re all dragon age characters, and while i haven’t rped with all of them yet i hope to one day. skells is a wonderful writer and i’m glad a multimuse has enabled her to have more characters b/c that’s what we deserve.

also featuring more tolkien muses and characters from the good wife and mythological characters! i mentioned this the other day, but i adore their ship on liam with the aforementioned peebee! there’s not a muse listed here who isn’t worth reading about, even as someone unfamiliar with the expanded tolkien universe.

i’ve been following pastry’s rp blogs for... idk... seven years now? a lot. a lot of years. i’ve seen a few of these muses in action on single-muse blogs, so i’m glad they can return in multimuse form. pastry’s samson and ashley in particular are old favourites, but looking at this list pastry has the magic ability to pull my faves out in general (i would die for zenyatta. and probably deserve it after how many times i’ve gotten him killed playing him...).

again, i decided to only list the dragon age muses to save me from tabbing back and forth, but this blog has so many fun muses aside from that! like spyro, taking me back to the days i would ask my dad to take me and my brother to a clubhouse so we could play one of the games on the ps2. and christopher robin! as for their dragon age muses, i’ve thoroughly enjoyed them. i still have a few to get to know, but their samson and minaeve are great, and i’ve known clancy for a few years now! it’s comforting to see him on my dash after all this time.

Atena, it depends on the gender of the person. If they're more masculine aligned, she gets really...stupid. Like....Not bottle blond stupid, but...A bit obliviously stupid and shiny eyed around them. If it's a more feminine aligned person, she's a lot bolder and confident in her attitude with flirtatious lines.

Arik is not shy, he's very forward with his interests. He doesn't do secret crushes and he will definitely tell someone straight off if he's interested. He tends to spend more time around the person and pays attention to what they like/what they need, though, and tries to get that stuff for them.

Sergio's a little tougher to figure out, because he tries to be closed off and distant. I don't see him being open or forward about it, but giving the person little attentions here and there, remembering something they like and going out of his way to get it for them. Knowing if something annoys them and making sure they're not near it, or something along those lines. Just super small things that would make someone go "does he...? doesn't he...?"

He’d been patrolling, making sure everything was clear around the camp. He could sense darkspawn, that was sure, but there were other dangers lurking. He was sore, though, and tense. Even Alistair had noted it and suggested the hot springs nearby. Arik had thought about it, and decided that, perhaps, that would help loosen his muscles for the next battle.

Granted, apparently someone else had overheard Alistair’s remark. He stopped in his tracks as he saw the other figure in the springs and ducked out of sight to verify who it was. Seeing it was Feyna, he relaxed a bit and decided he ought to head back to camp and wait for her to return, allowing her the privacy of the springs. 

As he turned to leave, though, he made the rookie move of stepping on a branch, snapping it. That caused him to wince, annoyed at his own misstepping.

Hm. I think his chest and his ribs might be the most sensitive. Dragging hands along his skin there seems to be something which definitely sends some jolts through his system. It’s an intimate area to touch for a warrior, if you think about it. It’s right near the heart and a warrior always defends that area, so it makes sense it would be sensitive for him.

Arik rested his arm around her waist, pulling her closer to him. He buried his face in her hair, taking in her scent along with the fresh morning dew. He pressed up against her, welcoming their shared warmth in the early morning light.

Lazily, he pressed kisses to her shoulder and back, as a way to greet her in the morning. His fingers lightly trailed along her stomach, moving up closer to her breasts. Just enough to tantalize her into consciousness.

It was forward and out of character for Feyna, to say the least. She wasn’t the type to over go for it in this kind of scenario. Arik supposed it was the excitement they had both made it out of the hectic year in one piece that caused her to act out.

He wasn’t going to complain, of course.

Instead, he put a strong hand on the small of her back, pulling her tight against his frame as he returned the kiss with a heated passion. He tilted his head, hand moving to cup the back of her head as he brought her down to make it more searing, his tongue running along her lip.

I just have this nice image in my head of Arik, Rajmahel, Shalelan, and Idrilla hanging out in Inquisition (obviously after Into the Abyss). Arik playing the lute, having picked up a bit of some traditional Dalish music from working with Eliana, Shalelan playing a traditional drum, and Rajmahel having a flute of sorts. Idrilla dancing to the music with traditional Dalish steps, just a good old elf time. Just a little something to help them feel a bit more at home and connected.

To say Arik was surprised as he strummed on his lute was an understatement. The other warden was typically shy and timid. The fact she had willingly gone up to him while he was practicing and pressed a kiss to his cheek was incredibly forward of her. He paused his strumming and looked at her curiously.

Arik had just finished a patrol and felt stiff. He knew he needed to get cleaned. The darkspawn would smell him from ten miles off at this point, he figured. Or maybe he was too used to having to get cleaned up as a servant. Either way, he decided a dip in the river would be a good idea.

He didn’t realize someone else had the same idea. His fellow warden, Feyna, was there getting dressed. And she was not at the proper...Attire level to be seen. Arik averted his gaze, not wanting her to feel as if he were staring or awkward.

“I’ll just...Go until you’re done.” He said, turning back to head closer to camp.
