This is a drawing that I made for Trans Day of Visibility, with my character Charlie Lunen! She's an aspiring witch on a journey of self-discovery, but sometimes she feels sub-stellar in some aspects - and yet that might end up only subtly showing, when it does at all.
Technique-wise, I'm very happy with how efficient I was with the background details! I'm especially proud of a new hair lighting technique that I learned from Davanchi, involving the airbrush tool.
The general idea of the drawing is meant to highlight how sometimes we might not see others' issues as easily as they do, as well as the importance of reading those cues when we can.

Last month, I made a short-ish, six-page manga for my Japanese studies! I had worldbuilding with the characters as a side focus, but I was primarily interested in exploring the manga formula and applying what I've been learning of Japanese.
Now that I got around to polishing the writing, it's ready to publish, so here's the original JP manga!
