How do I have private SSL for subdomains?
There are no authorities out there, who offers you private SSL certificate to protect your sub-domains. However, The Certificate Authorities Symantec, Comodo, GeoTrust, Thawte and RapidSSL do offer a Wildcard SSL Certificate.
A Wildcard SSL Certificate is an appropriate way to secure multiple sub-domains. A Wildcard SSL Certificate protects unlimited sub-domains under a single SSL with the highest encryption level of up to 256-bit.
Example:
If you want to buy an SSL Certificate for “*.example.com” domain, then it secures:
blog.example.com
mail.example.com
secure.example.com and so on…
