I feel like 4.1 is going to be insane for the simple fact that Wriothesley and Childe will either be banging or trying to kill each other by the time we get to Meropide.

the amount of ppl who still think that wriothesley is this tough bad boy who wants to look all gloomy and badass all the time is killing me. literally all he wants is his child to stop walking around with a gun randomly shooting people & his subordinates to stop killing each other & clorinde to stop breaking out his door so he can drink his goddamn tea in peace. he is not this alpha male love wolf HE DOESN'T EVEN WANT TO BE. thank u for exploring this part of his personality djsjakaj i feel like too many people don't get the fontaine characters like AT ALL

that said uhh a couple of points, he doesnt see sigewinne as his child? she's like 400 yold, if anything, she's the one who mothers him with her "healthy" milkshakes and so on. its like the main meta joke of melusines, that they look small and cute, but actually are eldritch-born fbi agents.

second, i agree that ppl pretending he's bad alphaboy wolfmale whatever is ridiculous, but also like, rizzler does have layers, "tough guy" is a part of his presentation, its just that in canon he actually uses it for subversion of expectations, to be like heey no im actually real friendly, im just some guy :) :) :) and its one of his manipulation tactics.

but also like. there is a smth to discuss like why that presentation was developed in the first place, bc it was not from usual adolescent boys macho posturing, but from like. extremely traumatized teenager with shitton of guilt and self-loathing (that he didn't really process to this day) being thrown into this dog-fighting pit of no laws prison, where he had to become the "top dog" to change it for the better. and like now his authority and power there secure enough that he can afford to "just some guy who loves tea :)", but like. still unable to trust ppl, even if he wishes he could. like yeah, he's chill and lowkey, but he is also v cynical, he just came in terms with like. the fact that he will never be truly close with others
