On the platforms we use for advertising (like Facebook Ads, Google Ads, Instagram Ads, etc.), we set the landing page link with ads. When visitors see these ads and click on them with interest, they are redirected to our landing pages. Currently, we use various platforms to design these landing pages, such as ClickFunnels, Systeme.io, GoHighLevel, WordPress, Squarespace, Shopify, Kartra, GrooveFunnels, Builderall, Kajabi, Leadpages, Unbounce, Instapage, FunnelKit, GetResponse, Minute Funnels, ThriveCart, Keeap, Landingi, SamCart, Ontraport, Pipedrive and more. This list continues to grow over time.
These platforms provide us with drag-and-drop page builder facilities for designing landing pages. For WordPress and Shopify, we use third-party plugins/apps to enable this page builder option. The others have their native page builders. We don't need much coding skills to design using page builders, and it can be done easily. While they offer such flexibility for design, page builders also have various limitations. Each platform's page builder has different limitations. They are not all the same. If we need to overcome these limitations, we have to use custom codes or 3rd party addons.
In today's article, we will discuss several points about ClickFunnels where custom code can be used to improve and make the page more attractive. Not only that, but we will also provide solutions on how to do these things smoothly.
At the beginning of our discussion, we were talking about the ClickFunnels affiliate badge. The ClickFunnels affiliate logo can clash with the page's design and negatively impact your branding. When viewing the sales page designed in ClickFunnels in preview or live, the affiliate badge in the right corner appears annoying. This badge can be easily removed.
On many websites, you'll see that certain products in their product pricing tables are labeled as "Hot Item," "Best Selling," or "Best Value." These words psychologically encourage customers to purchase that package. Do you want to highlight one of your products on your funnel's order page in a similar way? This is also possible through custom add-ons.
We can also make various changes to typography. For example, placing a background below a specific text or highlighting certain words in a sentence to grab attention. This cannot be done easily from the page builder. We need to use custom code in ClickFunnels Classic to do this.
You'll often see headlines where some words are in one color and others in a different color. If you want bold text (font-weight: 700) to be one color and regular text (font weight: 400) to be another, you can usually do that directly within that particular typography element's settings. However, if the entire text needs to be either bold or regular, would it be possible then? We'll need to use custom code in that case. Though, many platforms now provide controls within their settings to do this.
