Atlanta election workers to get ‘panic buttons’ amid rising threats
Excerpt:
A key swing county in suburban Atlanta approved nearly $50,000 this week to purchase “panic buttons” for election workers, a move that comes as those who administer elections have faced increased threats and harassments.
Commissioners in Cobb county approved the purchase of about 200 of the devices, which are about the size of a credit card, according to NBC News, which first reported on the purchase.
The devices alert authorities to someone’s location by pairing with a user’s smartphone. The commission also approved more than $14,000 to hire a security guard for the election office as part of a $2.43m budget for election contingencies.

All right guys, time to innoculate you against claims of fraud.
You see, in Cobb County, Georgia, a human error at the county elections office resulted in 1,046 absentee ballots not getting sent to voters. Essentially they were marked as sent when they weren't.
It's okay, though, because the county is going to do the right thing. They've gotten the ballots out and, since they went out late, they've extended the deadline for absentee ballots until November 14th (an additional 6 days) to make sure that everyone gets a chance to turn their vote in.
But here's the thing. Georgia's Senate race is close. Very close. And it's possible that this race could determine which party takes control of the entire Senate, not just one seat. Cobb County is also mostly black and will probably send in a lot of Democratic votes. If the race comes down to a few hundred votes and we have to wait for Cobb County to count those late ballots, be prepared for Republicans to cry "fraud" because it's taking a while.
I want you to know right here and now, before any votes are counted and before we know anything about the outcome, that this particular accusation is a lie. Cobb County is going to be a little late counting ballots because they're trying to be fair and not punish voters for the mistakes of election officials. The likely accusation that this delay is because of or in order to facilitate fraud is made in bad faith; they are trying to fool you into seeing fraud where none exists and you should call out that kind of behavior for what it is.
Here's the whole story if you'd like to read it.

"Rinderle is the first known public school teacher to be fired under Georgia’s trio of censorship laws passed in 2022. They are the Protect Students’ Rights Act, commonly known as the “divisive concepts” law; a “Parents’ Bill of Rights;” and one known as the “harmful to minors law,” which allows for the removal or restriction of materials parents deem “pornographic” or otherwise harmful. Together, the laws censor class discussion, give parents the right to refuse instruction they disagree with and ban “offensive” reading materials from school libraries. If Rinderle’s experience is any indication, she will not be the last to be terminated, advocates say."
"To this day, the district has never answered Rinderle’s main question: What exactly does “divisive concepts” mean?"

Las Vegas, be careful with Oakland A's owner, John Fisher because he will NOT SPEND MONEY
Get ready, Las Vegas. When John Fisher comes to your town, you better prepare yourself. After reading over some Las Vegas media this week, it does seem that most in the area understand the many financial issues that come along with rooting for a team owned by John Fisher. I have also seen some who are just happy getting a baseball team, while others believe that there is a chance of Las Vegas…
