Light Asylum: I’ve recommended them before and I WILL DO IT AGAIN. Synthpoppy Darkwave fronted by a Black wlw who has deep, husky, haunting vocals.

Diavol Strâin: Chilean Darkwave duo! They’re both brown nb wlw, very political, very atmospheric and distorted, with a She Past Away type of Darkwave sound.

Virgine Dramatica: Darkwave and Gothic Rock from the 00s, also Chilean. They haven’t released anything new in ages but they still play live and they’re local legends. Romantic, haunting, with great vocals.

Ego Likeness: Part of the Trip-Hop influenced trend from the mid 90s and earlier 00s (still active though!). 

La Procesión de lo Infinito: Amazing Colombian Gothic Rock. They cite The Mission and Fields of the Nephilim as some of their major influences. Lots of lyrics about vampires.

Draconian Incubus: Great blend of Deathrock and Gothic Rock from Costa Rica. Brooding, yet fun.

Phaidia: 80s Deathrock from Japan. Very macabre and spooky.

My cassette of Cada d​í​a es m​á​s gris, the debut album by Manizales, Colombia-based deathrock and dark punk band Bruma, arrived today. The cassettes are being provided by Discos Maraña, a Colombian indie music label. They also provided a mini-poster.
