Greetings, beloved community! Happy #MotivationalMonday! Today, let's talk about being content in every season of life. 🌱
Scripture of the Day: Philippians 4:11-12 (NIV) - "I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want."
Contentment is not dependent on external circumstances but on our trust in God's provision. Whether in times of abundance or scarcity, find contentment in knowing that God is with you, guiding your steps. Embrace each season, knowing that God has a purpose for every stage of your life. 🌞

The More You Have, The More You Worry | Ecclesiastes 5:10-12
More money. Bigger house. Better car.
Ever notice how the more we chase after things, the more we need? It’s a bottomless pit—one more raise, one more purchase, one more upgrade. And yet, the hunger never fades.
Solomon saw this firsthand. His conclusion? Wealth never satisfies.
Welcome to The Daily. We go through the bible verse-by-verse, chapter-by-chapter, every single day.
Our text today is Ecclesiastes 5:10-12.
He who loves money will not be satisfied with money, nor he who loves wealth with his income; this also is vanity. When goods increase, they increase who eat them, and what advantage has their owner but to see them with his eyes? Sweet is the sleep of a laborer, whether he eats little or much, but the full stomach of the rich will not let him sleep. — Ecclesiastes 5:10-12
Money is a tool, not a god.
But when we love it—when we live for it—it becomes a cruel master. It promises fulfillment but leaves us restless. It offers comfort but demands more. It makes us feel secure, yet we still fear losing it.
Solomon paints two pictures:
✔ The Laborer: He works hard. He sleeps well. He’s not consumed by getting more—he enjoys what he has. ✔ The Wealthy Hoarder: He has plenty but can’t sleep. Why? Because wealth comes with worry. The more you have, the more you fear losing it.
So what’s the solution?
Contentment.
Not in riches, but in the One who truly satisfies.

ASK THIS:
Do you view money as a tool or as something that defines your security and success?
Have you ever achieved a financial goal, only to find yourself wanting more?
Do you sleep in peace, or is your mind consumed with financial worries?
What’s one step you can take today to cultivate contentment in Christ rather than chasing wealth?
DO THIS:
Take five minutes today to thank God for what you already have. Then, identify one way you can be generous—whether through giving, serving, or simply appreciating what’s in front of you.
PRAY THIS:
Lord, You are my provider, and in You, I lack nothing. Free me from the love of money and the false promises of wealth. Teach me to find contentment in You alone and to steward my resources with wisdom and generosity. Amen.

Pouring In So To Pour Out
“His riches don’t come with dour-looking presidents or expiration dates or limited warranties. They aren’t earned by the sweat of my brow. Instead, His richness come pouring down in my contentment.”
I have been so blessed by my devotion today entitled “Giving Away The Thing I Needed Most”. Maybe because I know that before reading this, I asked the Lord to tell me words that will comfort me but it turned out that what He really wanted for me is to realize how to be truly comforted. 
I am about to sleep and yet all of a sudden, my heart has been deeply reminded of my struggles in the company I am working with; the unfair treatment almost all of the employees get, the struggles of being away from home, the negative environment, the compensation that is not worth all of my efforts, friends who have abandoned and turned their back on me, and a lot more that I cannot put into words. Life is really so unfair. Bakit aka Ganito Lord? Ano ba talaga pinaglalaban ko? 
Most people would wonder, what’s really been going on with me? I have a great job as others may see it, a good life based on how they see in my social media accounts, but deep inside, I have been struggling with hate, envy, clamour, and discontentment. 
FIRST, The Pessimistic and Hateful Me.
I am so deeply discouraged by how my friends treat me, how my colleagues act during flights, how the company is. The struggle is really so depressing.. Parang wala akong kaibigan Lord, there’s no one to talk to, someone na will not spread negativity in me. Halos lahat ng tao “Nega” na. Pero ang funny lang talaga how the Lord prunes us, He led me to this verse:
“A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.” Proverbs 11:25 (NIV)
Pano Lord? I am just so weak today, I hate all of the people around me, but then I want to please you and be more like Christ. So how can I really be refreshed by refreshing others if almost everyone is so full of hate and negativity? But then again, I know the answers to my questions. God just wants my obedience, no questions needed because being joyful is a choice no matter what, or else it will never be a commandment. It is always our choice to spread positivity to people around us.
SECOND, The Discontented Me.
As I scroll over my social media accounts, almost everyone seems to have a good life but me. I saw friends celebrating togetherness, friends who are enjoying this and that, friends who have kids, etc. The longer I scrolled the more I compared, and the worst I felt. I’d already battled a lot of gloominess in the past weeks and then the POSTS seem to highlight all of my deep-seated emotions. And then Christ is always on the rescue.
“You are strong -right where your contentment in Christ begins.”
“Everyday we die to the things that supposedly make us strong in this world. Everyday we kill the need to have more, to be more, everyday we die for Him.”
“Jesus wants me to see that His riches don’t come with dour-looking presidents or expiration dates or limited warranties. They aren’t earned by the sweat of my brow. Instead, His richness come pouring down in my contentment.”
The thing about being not contented and satisfied is if we compare our situations to others. I have a lot of grieving friends and have worse struggles more than me, I talk to them, I pray with them and for them and yet I can see that they stand strong and not falter, they still exist. Who am I to not see how still blessed I am?
THIRD, The Fearful Me
I still hate to admit it but I am anxiously worried about my future. Others would tell me that this is normal, but I know that it is not. Fear is equivalent to distrust and faithlessness. I always tell everyone that my life is an orchestration of how mighty the Lord is, why I still fear the things I cannot control and the things  thatI cannot see? I have a big God who has not forsaken me ever since and Who has provided for my needs. As the verse in Philippians 4:6-7 says
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Lately, I don’t pour out to others, I always look at MEEEEEE. And that is the problem, if we always look at OURSELVES, OUR NEEDS, OUR STRUGGLES, it will always result to hate, discontent and fear because we are made to outpour to others and not serve OURSELVES. This is a reminder for me everyday, never look at myself, because ME, MYSELF AND I is a selfish ego-centric kind of mind. The moment I look into others is also the moment that I’ll value joy, contentment and confidence not to ME, but to the one who created me.
