Proverbs Daily Reflection - December 2, 2024
The Lord says, "He holds success in store for the upright..." (Proverbs 2:7) I am standing on His Word!
“He holds success in store for the upright…” (Proverbs 2:7) Success is a term that can mean many things to many people. Through God’s lens, it takes on a deeper, eternal significance. This verse reminds us that true success isn’t measured by material wealth, status, or possessions. Instead, it involves aligning our lives with God’s will. It means walking in righteousness. We strive for a life…

Wisdom
“For the Lord gives skillful and godly Wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding.” Proverbs 2:6 (AMPC)
“He stores up perfect wisdom for those who are right with Him. He is a safe-covering to those who are right in their walk.” Proverbs 2:7 (NLV)
I have a “Gratitude App”, which encourages me to write about things I am grateful for. Today it asked what I am most thankful for and the answer came to me in a flash: God’s Wisdom. Looking back, I can appreciate how God has shared His wisdom with me over the years, at a pace where I was ready to receive it. Psalm 51:6, “You teach me wisdom deep within."
GotQuestions.org says, “All truth is God’s. God has, however, revealed His truth to all humans in the things created (Romans 1:20) called general revelation, and in His written Word called special revelation (1 Corinthians 2:6–10). There is a difference between “earthly wisdom” and the “wisdom that comes from above” (James 3:14–18). To tap into God’s wisdom, we must, first of all, desire it and ask God for it. “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you” (James 1:5). The next verse specifies that we must “ask in faith, nothing wavering” (verse 6). We acknowledge that true wisdom comes from God and that Jesus Christ is the embodiment of that wisdom (1 Corinthians 1:30). To trust in Christ and yield to His Holy Spirit is to walk in wisdom; as Christians, “we have the mind of Christ” (1 Corinthians 2:16).”
Some call God’s Word “Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth” -”B.I.B.L.E.”, because the Bible is essentially a Holy Spirit infused instruction manual with an answer for any problem. There is always something new to learn, because the Holy Spirit reveals new insights each time we read it. (Have you ever read the same verse over and over then one day it takes on this amazing new meaning? That’s the Holy Spirit working!) I can’t pretend that I know everything in the Bible; I haven’t anywhere near finished my journey of learning yet, but I can see how God has been patiently giving me new knowledge and understanding. The Bible is so full of the Wisdom of God! Each time you read it and the longer you meditate on it, the more understanding God gives you. This is why I use different Bible translations, because they give me new insights into God’s teachings.  The song “Good, Good Father” says, “I know we're all searching for answers only You provide, ‘Cause You know just what we need before we say a word.” God knows what we need and the answers are all there in the Bible.  Friend, dive into God’s Heavenly Instruction Manual and God will speak to you through it. Pray for understanding before you read the Bible, meditate on what you read and you will find wisdom and answers by the power of the Holy Spirit, who opens up knowledge to our spirits. Ask, Seek, Knock and the door will open to you. PRAYER: Lord, thank You for Your Word! Help us to feel deeply Your great love when we read the words of love You have placed for us throughout the Bible. Speak to us through Your Word, and give us the wisdom we need from it to help us in our daily lives. Help us to know more of You from reading Your Word. Help us to be “right with You, so we can access the perfect wisdom stored up for us.” Help us to understand Your teachings and Your ways better. Help us to grow greatly in Your wisdom. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Devotion- Be wise
I just read the whole passage of Proverbs 2 where wisdom is the main point.  It was stated in the passage that if we accept the Lord’s wisdom and commands and turn it to wisdom  with applying our heart to understanding then we will understand the fear of the Lord and understand the knowledge of God. It is indeed a very good reminder for all of us that we need to listen, read and comprehend with our full heart about the words of God. I know that in church sometimes, some people are getting tired of listening the pastor’s or priest homily but at least try sometimes to listen even just a few sentence and try to comprehend and applying it. You know sometimes our own wisdom could actually save us from a painful experience or any emergencies. Wisdom could also make us ready and somehow could lessen the pain within.  Our wisdom to the word of God is very good reminder to all of us. If you are feeling down then seek for him. God will give you a better timing to that.

THIINK ABOUT IT THURSDAY ! LOVE YOURSELF, YOURLIFE, YOUR PATH, YOUR PLACEMENT, YOUR GIFTS,YOUR TALENTS, YOUR ABILITIES! Don't Envy Your Neighbor love your neighbor as you love yourself! If you only have envy,, I'm convinced its due to the LACK OF self love. Amen! As YWHW/God's word, has blessed we are blessed in every situation We have Declaration Discernment Direction Decree what I like to call the dynamite d's of the holy spirit/ leading! I see at least four methods that YWHW( Ruach hakodesh)רוח קודש uses to leads us in his will. I put them in four "D’s" to help me remember them. Decree: ELOHIM sovereignly decrees and designs circumstances so that we end up where he wants us to be even if we don’t have any conscious part in getting there. For example, Paul and Silas found themselves in jail, and the result was the salvation of the jailer and his household (Acts 16:24-34). This was YWHW’s plan, but not Paul’s. ELOHIM does this often—putting us in places that we did not plan or decide to be. This is the leading of decree. It is unique above the other three leadings because it includes them (since YWHW`s decrees include all our decisions) and because it happens infallibly (since “no purpose of [YWHW] can be thwarted,” Job 42:2). The other three leadings of ELOHIM'S involve our being consciously led. Hallelujah! January 21 - Proverbs 2:20-22
20 Thus you will walk in the ways of the good and keep to the paths of the righteous. 21 For the upright will live in the land, and the blameless will remain in it; 22 but the wicked will be cut off from the land, and the unfaithful will be torn from it.
Throughout the history of the Israelites, they endured, and continue to do so, a struggle to possess their homeland. Here, the writer of Proverbs appeals to their love of home and country, saying that those who walk in the ways of the good (the wise) and keep those ways will possess the land and remain there (verses 20-21). Ancient Israel viewed land as a privilege in life, something earned more than possessed. Deuteronomy 8:1 says, “Be careful to follow every command I am giving you today, so that you may live and increase and may enter and possess the land the LORD promised on oath to your ancestors.” Wise living and obedience is God’s highway to receiving the privilege that he has in store for us. It is more than an intellectual pursuit in life—it is the “way” of life (v20). There is an obvious allusion here to heaven being that land where the blameless will remain and from which the wicked will be cut off (verses 21-21). Whenever the term “blameless” finds its way into Scripture, I am struck by the fact that no one is blameless apart from Christ. As Paul writes, “There is no one righteous, not even one” (Romans 3:10). This privilege of “living in the land” that we earn by way of wise living is not earned all on our own. It was earned by Christ for us on the cross. He is the only way by which we are considered blameless. Even the wisest of us fail to live wisely all of the time. We need a savior to step in for us and to fully keep to the path of righteousness (v20) in a way that none of us ever could. We need a savior who does it the right way and then becomes our substitute. Wisdom is realizing that we all owe it to God to walk the path of righteousness to the best of our abilities, but knowing that we have to allow Jesus to be our real righteousness. Only when I accept him as my substitute do I become blameless and able to live in the privilege that the writer talks about in these verses.
Prayer: Lord, I wish I were blameless on my own. But I’m not. I depend on your righteousness every single day. If not for your substitutionary death on the cross, I am one of the wicked who should be cut off from the land. Thank you for becoming my righteousness. I am forever grateful. Amen.
