Video sleeve for a late 1990′s VHS re-release of Daiei’s 1995 direct to video Cosplay Warrior Cutie Knight. This video was mostly a tokusatsu heroine comedy with guest appearances from Noriaki Yuasa, director of the original series of Gamera films and “sexy idol” group Pink Satan.

Cosplay Warrior Cutie Knights 1 is a heroine tokusatsu film starring Chiemi Chiba, Miho Yabe, and Sara Shimada, and was directed by Noriaki Yuasa. It's notable for a guest appearance of a human-sized Gamera. The movie was created by Daiei Motion Picture Company.

35 minutes of feature film and then 43 minutes of music video/credits + bloopers + behind the scenes footage.

My other Halloween posts were cancelled due to both my old modem finally dying after only a year of dedicated service (they don’t make em like they used to, my first broadband router served me well for 6 years) and a family emergency requiring my immediate attention and taking up most of my time then and a bit of the forseeable future.

The Fake Rangers from the game Super Sentai Battle: Ranger Cross aka the Sentai equivalent of Dark Ranger teams. I was going to show the Fake Gorengers and pitch the costumes of the Fake Go-Ongers next year.

Metal Kyurangers - What if all the Kyurangers got affected by the Dark Kyutama? Also would throw in the stage show exclusive, Dark Shishi Red Orion.

Ultraman Costume ideas

UltraTom Servo - Given the relationship both MST3K and Ultraman had with Shout! Factory and both characters sporting red and silver on their bodies, this comical mash-up was at the top of the list of proposed costume ideas.

Ultra Nyan (Eiichi Shimizu ver.) - Yes, I was going to suggest the adorable space cat again, this time in the manga ULTRAMAN armor style.

Ultrawoman Aura - A manga character, she is a hotblooded tomboy hero Ultra who is skilled with a sword. According to other Ultramen, you wouldn’t like her when she’s mad, as she becomes unstoppable in a fight.

Ultraman Elek - From the ‘79 anime, Ultraman Joneus’s superior.

Other costume ideas:

Garo Makai Knights (cyberpunk style) - Core of this idea: At some point in the future, the Makai Knights will need to incorporate more of the human world’s technology to keep up as Horrors enter cyberspace to consume humans at faster rates, using humanity’s malicious acts online as a gateway to enter the human world.

Garo Ranger - based on a Deviantartist’s drawing of Garo as a Gekiranger-style Sentai hero. Makai Knights and Priests done Ranger style!

“Moon Rider” and “Metal Sailors”- Naoko Takeuchi based her world renowned Sailor Moon franchise on tropes from Super Sentai. In an alternate reality, Naoko could have drawn inspiration from the hotblooded action of Kamen Rider or the more sci-fi elements of the Metal Heroes series instead.

Cutie Honey (Cool Girls costume ver.) - A unique costume design for the Warrior of Love exclusive only to a toy, this could be a surefire cosplay or party outfit.
