New Product We Need Today! (Mainly for Wanderers!  )

While people love to get away or go on vacation from the daily pressures of jobs, school and everyday life, travel itself can be very stressful even after your account for transportation, lodging and planning on how to enjoy all the great attractions take place. Usually, people arrive in the hotel exhausted after a long flight or road travel, expecting to have a hassle free check-in and proceed to their rooms right away. However, this is not the case most of the time as hotel’s queue line for check-in is inevitably long, most especially during peak season where there is a large influx of tourists. Sometimes, resulting to more or less one-hour waiting time. There are times that customers encounter receptionists who are hostile, rude and discriminatory, which makes the check-in process more agitating.

 As an MBA Student and someone who loves to wander, I thought of a Hotel Self-Service Kiosk equipped with a Wayfinder Program and Payment facility, that will surely help all the wanderers/travellers enjoy their vacations eminently. This kiosk will allow the user to self-check-in/self-check-out from the hotel; pay (using cash/credit card/debit card) the hotel without human interaction; view and print Map of the popular tourist spots around the area.  This self-service kiosk can also provide information and directions to local venues and enables users to visualize the shortest path from one point to another.

I believe that this product will not just help the travellers but as well as the hoteliers as this kind of automation can minimize or reduce human interaction, which can in turn save on associated labor costs.
