I keep trying to find a fun scenario that would lead up to this image in my brain but I can't do it. So.

*beaming image into your brain*

Killer walking around the castle looking for Cross so he can tell him something about their next mission. He gets to the door to one of the lounges he hasn't checked yet.

Inside, Cross is there. But he's napping. And he has their little King bundled up in his arms. They both look sound asleep, and Killer looks fondly for a few more seconds before backing away and closing the door. He's just glad the two of them are getting some well-deserved and badly-needed rest.

This IS inspired by the fact that at the zoo I went to the other day, very specifically the Lynx and the Snow Leopards were napping in the sun. It was a sign to think about those two lol.

#new age au #Cross gets a similar priviledge to Ccino early on compared to the rest of the knights #that emotional willingness to show weakness I mean #Night truats Killer with his life. and the others quickly as well... but his low points were reserved for Ccino up until he was sick.#Ccino had to take over his duties and his next request (well... feverish wail) was for Killer. but Killer doesn't know how to treat sick #people. he doesn't trust himself to be able to help night. he isn't comfortable crossing that barrier of Ccino being the nurturing one and #him being the iron fist. it's not his comfort zone to see his king in pain and distress and be able to comfort him...#and that responsibikity is passed onto Cross. (Dust has a Bad Immune System so can't be around Night much at all. Horror wanted to help #really badly but Night's sniffles + coughs + whines of discomfort really set off his headaches) so! Cross is the best option!#he was nervous #but patient and calming and asked the others for directions but w as capable of doing it himself #Cross was a really good first-time caretaker and Night managed to get a LOT more sleep. he got better (Cross made sure Night took the meds #that Killer couldn't bare to when Night seemed to paranoid about poison) and he heals better!#but because it's. y'know. the first time the knights really saw his worse side for a peolongued period of time Night subconsciously deems #Cross a safe space. which means cuddle privileges and space invasion!
