Previously D5705. Arguably the ugliest diesel ever to run on BR metals. The loco was withdrawn in June 1968 from the London Midland Region, Preston Division (D10). It then served as a carriage heating unit. [2020: The loco is preserved, but not in working order]. 

This dork hid behind a bunch of coaches to avoid being scrapped. My hero.
