~ How To Make A Charm Bracelet ~

You Will Need :

charm chain according to your wrist measurement, tibetan silver charms, glass beads, jump rings, head pins, fastener.

we used : 19cm of chain, 5 charms, 6 beads, 12 x 5mm jump rings, 6 x 25mm head pins, 10mm carabiner fastener.

Instructions :

1. Count the number of chain links. With chain or flat nosed pliers, open a jump ring and attach your first charm to the central chain link : our chain had 35 links so our first charm was attached to the central 17th link.

2. Count 6 links away from the centre and add the second charm to this link, count 6 links away from the second charm and add the third charm to this link. Repeat on the other side of the bracelet to add the fourth and fifth charms.

3. Place each bead on a head pin and, with jewellery wire cutters, trim leaving 1cm of spare wire. Turn a simple loop with round nose pliers. Count 3 links away from the first charm. With chain or flat nosed pliers, open a jump ring and attach your first bead to this link. Count 3 links away from the second charm and add your second bead to this link, count 3 links away from the third charm and add your third bead to this link. Repeat on the other side of the bracelet to add the fourth, fifth and sixth beads. Finally, use a jump ring to attach the clasp.

Options :

Safety pin each end of the charm chain to a cushion, it will be much easier to make your bracelet as all the links will lie flat.

Use a longer length of chain to make an ankle bracelet.
