This post is not wholly comprehensive and is intended as an overview, links provided lead to further details. Dates are in accordance with China Standard Time, the organization is chronological. 10-16 → Bluebird posted a translation of the essay written by the person who attended a cult-like fan-meetup of Zhang Sanjian fans, as a followup to the chatlog translated by Flora the previous day. The essay gives a more detailed account of the event.

→ Starting on 10-14, Gong Jun stopped using umbrellas to cover himself from paparazzi when he arrives to hair and makeup for Fox Spirit Matchmaker. 🍬 On this day, he wore a pair of Hogan shoes from last year’s collection that Zhang Zhehan wore on 2021-08-10.

10-17 → Going-to-work 🍬: The shirt Gong Jun was wearing is the same (even in the way it’s ironed) as one Zhang Zhehan wore in an ad campaign released 2021-04-28. He also possibly had a hickey. 

10-18 → Going-to-work 🍬: Gong Jun wore an outfit very similar to the one he wore on the same day in 2021. The hickey(?) was still visible.

→ Colgate posted a photo ad featuring Gong Jun.

→ QuelleVous posted about the tea shop, specifically about how she hired people to visit it and take some footage. Its current location is on the 19th floor of an office building in a space previously rented by a tech startup and requires a QR code for entry, was only open five of the fifteen times the people went despite it being during its stated business hours, and if you spend enough money the shop attendants promise to bring Kele (the cat) out during your next visit. → Going-to-work 🍬: One of the staff(?) near Gong Jun was holding a CPF orange plush charm. There was also a second possible hickey. Update 10-23: The person with the orange charm has been concluded to most likely be a fan, based on the fact that a few days later she was joined by two others with the same charms.

→ NCAC Children (committee for child actors) posted an article about Gong Jun’s song Little Shoulders.

→ A video was spread of a Zhang Zhehan lookalike (almost definitely a body double / deepfake) sitting outside a restaurant in Shenzhen.

10-20 → Going-to-work 🍬: Gong Jun wore a hat with a graphic of a sun setting behind a rooftop (easily mistaken for mountains at a glance) and the text “Sunset & Flowers”. He wore the matching sweater on the same day last year. Fan Observation: The clothing’s brand, Kijun, is a womenswear company and therefore not something likely to be in his normal radar. It’s possible he specifically sought it out after seeing the design. (Mountains and flowers are easily associated with Word of Honor, Zhang Zhehan is known to like sunsets.)

→ The Taobao Livestreams official Weibo posted a teaser for upcoming celebrity livestreams, including ones that Gong Jun will be appearing in on 10-24 (Hogan, 19:30), 11-01 (L’Oreal, time TBA), and 11-02 (Hsu Fu Chi, 15:00). There’s also a rumor about a 361° livestream on 11-06.

→ Kangshifu posted a photo ad featuring Gong Jun.

→ NCAC Children posted a promotional video for Little Shoulders spoken by Gong Jun, filmed around 07-15 (same outfit as in the pre-recorded Fresh livestream posted that day). [text translation]

10-21 → Hogan posted a “missing dog poster” with a dog doodle based off the one Gong Jun previously did. (1129 kadian) Caption: “Help! @ Gong Jun Simon's puppy ran away from home this morning. We found a note on site that said, ‘I'll be back when I become a puppy warrior!’”

→ Kangshifu posted a photo ad featuring Gong Jun.

10-22 →  A photo ad for Fresh featuring Gong Jun was used on Weibo’s opening screen.

→ Hogan posted three photos including the dog doodle. (1129 kadian) Caption: “@ Gong Jun Simon's puppy has not been found, but so far, we have received clues from many enthusiastic people, where is the puppy's destination??” They later also posted a WeChat article to the same effect.

→ Kangshifu posted a photo ad featuring Gong Jun.

This shouldn't be possible... Hiyori is dead.

He's been dead for the past two years... or so I thought, I suppose...

Hiyori: "This room... is completely locked. Not even I can open the door! The only way to get out is to use the computer and hack through the security to unlock the door. Simple, no?"

Shin: "...Hiyori, if you wanted to test my skills to make sure I haven't gotten rusty-"

Hiyori: "But there's a catch."

Hiyori: "If you fail to open the door within thirty minutes... then a poison gas will fill the room, killing you within mere seconds. How exciting!"

Shin: (...!)

Shin: "Aha... ahaha... C'mon now, Hiyori, those kinds of jokes aren't very nice…"

Hiyori: "Ahaha... I'm not joking, Shin."

Hiyori: "Good luuuuck! Your first trial begins now!"

Shin: "First trial?! W-wait-! Hiyori!!"

With a click, his voice vanished. First time I've heard from him in years, and he's gone again in an instant. After threatening my life and refusing to explain anything...

Since I plugged this blog on my main I guess I should make a pinned post clarifying everything.

I made a silly little sideblog for talking about the Youtube tabletop RPG series made by Sequence Break, starting from Star Road Now, continuing with The Quiet Decay and Severed Strings.

If you're not familiar with it I suggest checking out the official playlist with all the episodes on Youtube to get a feel for it as well as the wiki (beware of spoilers for later parts), but tl;dr it's a collection of TTRPG campaigns set in the same continuity, in the Jojo's Bizarre Adventure universe (albeit it strays from Jojo canon later on.) The events happen in a near-ish future (2088-2140) in the city of Electros, Japan and usually revolve around dealing with some kind of grand moral dilemma told through a series of labyrinthine fights and personal subplots. Also punchghosts. I'll elaborate on the specific parts of the series under the cut.

I won't be tagging spoilers since this is just a tiny thing I have on the side, so if you're interested in this series in any way I suggest you at least finish Star Road Now before continuing.

Star Road Now is generally centered around themes of dreams, self-improvement, potential and family. This is the first entry in the series set in the year 2130, and is the most popular one by far; in fact it's what you usually get when you search "jojo ttrpg" on Youtube. It sets the stage for the rest of the series and is a must-watch if you want to understand what's going on in the other two parts.

The Quiet Decay narrows the scope a bit while retaining some thematic ties to SRN (family and self-improvement are even more prevalent now), but it also explores the inner psyche of many of its characters through the mysterious phenomenon of Black Tears. It's the second entry in the series and is chronologically the earliest one, starting in autumn of 2088, and features some characters from Star Road Now as well as Severed Strings (as to why, see below)

Severed Strings is the third and latest entry in the Sequence Break Jojoverse and is still ongoing, having been run parallel with The Quiet Decay up until the latter's finale. It is a lot more experimental, taking concepts established in canon Jojo and flipping them on their head or otherwise playing with them, though it still retains strong thematic ties to SRN and TQD in the form of familial bonds and what they can mean to a person; it also introduces the theme of freedom and individuality to an extent which becomes more clear later on.

There are some spinoffs to the main series such as On The Road Again (a darker AU of Star Road Now featuring a completely new cast of characters) and Crystal River Romp (an ambiguously canon spinoff set in an amusement park), though I don't know much about them as I haven't watched much from either spinoff.

This blog has a tag system in place to make it easier for me to look for specific types of posts (ie a certain character/part/etc) and it's accessible through mobile as well as desktop. Feel free to reblog anything from here, I don't really care.

My favorite character is Hephaestus Brando from Severed Strings she is the light of my life my quirky little construction worker and generally funny little lady who lives in my head rent-free. I have a couple other characters I really like but you can figure those out on your own.
