nvm i just read the wiki lmao i just,, i love wrestling but brain cant focus on it rn to fully watch and enjoy,, if imma be ‘’liveblogging’’ I wanna be in the moment ya know so Imma just continue with what I was saying now that I found it out,,
-------------------------
BUT... Daniel wanting to prove himself, I KNEW that was in the storyline, I thought I was maybe gonna be makin that part up but like,, Daniel wanting to prove himself and determined to not be the ‘weak link’ I have just but a few things to say here
...Didn’t X-Pac do something similar? To Daniel here? Didn’t he wanna ‘prove’ himself? And practically pushed Kane away so he could do so? Determined to not let people think just bc Kane’s on his side doesn’t mean he needs him to actually win n shit like that?
Because listen,, I know these fuckers- its not like I haven’t fixated on wrestling since my childhood VFJBGFCKFLHGJFD- so im v e r y confident I remember X-Pac doing the same thing,, so I swear to god- in many ways him and Daniel arent,, t h a t similar but in terms of wanting to prove themselves and basically kinda telling Kane to ‘stay back’ and away from the ring, just, the fact it lines up so goddamn perfectly
It’s giving REALLY a n g s t y hours here im not gonna lie, also I love the lil correlation going on there, but god d a m n the angst that could come from that its just,, its r a d i a t i n g rn like oh Idk, for starters... Daniel saying how he wants to prove himself, that he doesnt need Kane’s defense and wants him to stay put, now,, wouldn’t that remind the big man of a certain... Familiar f a c e...? Wouldn’t that remind him of... A former f r i e n d even? :)
#Chase watches old wrestlin#im still gonna give it that tag just bc#BUT THIS!!! THIS IS WHAT I'VE WANTED TO TALK BOUT FOR A LONG ASS TIME BUT I WANTED TO WATCH#N WAIT- BUT I CANNOT HOLD IT ANY LONGER-#I've been stewing on this for s o long now-#and just the SIMILARITIES are there#unless im remembering wrong but ya know what I mean hey#h e y... ....we can all make our own canon lmao#but i faintly remember X-Pac mentioning SOMETHING about something similar like that#like proving himself n not needing Kane around essentially#...granted- thats not... FULLY what broke them apart but still#Daniel just saying he NEEDS to prove himself and how he wants Kane to stay put...#that could definitely give Kane a n o t good vibe at all :) ...i swear I DO love these two#but listen y'all- they make it wAY too easy for angst potential

😮 - do they feel like they own someone? their partner, their friends, etc
SINDAY HEADCANONS
Oof. This is a really difficult question, because the two of them have been property. They have both been owned by another person (Paul). … Technically, anyone who has the urn owns Taker, so he’d been passed around a few times. They’ve both been treated less than human, been stripped of their autonomy and had every aspect of their lives controlled. They wouldn’t want someone else to feel like that.
On the other hand, they do tend to - even if only subconsciously - classify people as ‘mine’. ‘My brother’, ‘my friend’, ‘my partner’, ‘my spouse’, etc etc. And they are damn protective over them. Like, extremely protective. If they consider someone ‘theirs’ in any sense of the word, nobody’s allowed to hurt that person, nobody’s allowed to upset that person, under penalty of a mauling at best. It’s interesting to me just how this protective behaviour is played out by the WWF/E. Like the time Kane was being asked to choose between DX and his brother. It’s not Taker who makes Kane choose. It’s XPac. Taker’s message to Kane is the exact opposite: They’re brothers, yeah, but Taker would never make him choose between his friends and his family. If Kane wants to run with DX - who Taker openly, actively, and blatantly despises - sure, okay, but they’re still family and he’s still gonna be there when Kane needs him. When he does that iconic ‘HANDS!’ thing with Regal, it’s not presented as ‘she’s my wife and only my wife’, it’s ‘dude, stop creeping on my wife in front of me what is your damage’ - like, he’s not getting mad at Sara for trying to shake Regal’s hand, he’s mad at Regal for going ‘oh, hello,’ before it all. We can contrast this pretty easily with how he treats people he doesn’t see as bad or unsafe interacting with people he thinks of as his. He leaves Kane alone with Sara for extended periods without a second thought (beyond asking if they’re alright with him going off for a while) - he trusts Sara, he trusts Kane (at the time), he’s fine with it. When Daniel and Kane start getting along, there’s no ‘hey, that’s my brother’, or anything like that - Taker tolerates a lot from Daniel that he’d normally lay people out for, and even lets DBry join the two of them for matches and/or their signature exit. Daniel is Kane’s friend, he’s not terrible, he’s allowed. Kane makes a comment, however jokingly, in an interview about Team Hell No where he says that his brother is his favourite person, but they need to take breaks from each other sometimes. We’ve seen Kane flip his shit when someone else hurts Taker. Hell, we’ve seen Kane flip his shit when he hurts Taker. Back when he was dating Tori, while he was fine with her going off and doing his own thing, he would murder anyone who hurt her. So, while they both clearly have a ‘this person is mine’ thing going on, I’m not really sure it constitutes ‘owning’ them, if that makes sense? They don’t really view ‘their’ people as property (since, again, they’ve both actually been property and it sucks). It’s more like…
Well, in Taker’s case, it’s more like he feels responsible for them. He feels like it’s his job to look after them. His spouse, his brother, his kids, his friends. They’re all ‘his’ people, and therefore it’s ‘his’ job to make sure they’re safe and looked after. He’s not gonna let someone down again. Not ever. He can’t. Kane, on the other hand, feels like he belongs to them. They’re his, yeah, but more than that he’s theirs. If he can’t make himself useful - by, of course, kicking the shit out of people - they’ll leave. They won’t need him anymore and he won’t be worth staying with. He’ll be alone.
I’m not gonna lie and say they never get jealous, because they absolutely do. But, yeah, there’s the gist of it.
Then there’s Ministry Taker. He’s the exception that proves the rule, really, but given that he’s been stripped of his inhibitions and basically pumped full of aggression, then, yeah. Kinda makes sense.

Dele Alli: Tottenham forward a target for Paris St-Germain
Jose Mourinho has not picked Dele Alli in his matchday squad for Tottenham’s past two games
Paris St-Germain are interested in Tottenham forward Dele Alli.
The Champions League finalists are aware of the England international’s potential availability and senior figures at the club are known to be admirers of the 24-year-old.
Spurs sources insist they expect Alli to stay and fight for his place.
However, the player was not in the squad for victories against Lokomotiv Plovdiv in the Europa League and Southampton in the Premier League.
Spurs boss Jose Mourinho has recently added to his attacking options with the signing of Gareth Bale from Real Madrid.
The Wales international is expected to be fit to join Mourinho’s squad after the October international break.
By that time, the transfer window will have closed and, although Premier League clubs can do business after the 5 October deadline, they can only trade with English Football League clubs.
It means Alli has a fortnight to sort out his future or risk an extended spell on the sidelines until the January window opens.
Has Mourinho lost patience with Alli?
When Mourinho was asked after Tottenham’s 5-2 win over Southampton on Sunday whether he wanted to keep Alli, the lack of a definite “yes” was telling.
After a weekend dominated by headlines about the arrival of Bale, it was the omission from the Spurs squad of Alli that provided an intriguing subplot.
So far, Alli has played just 45 minutes of football this season, starting in the 1-0 defeat by Everton in Spurs’ Premier League opener before being replaced at half-time.
Prior to Sunday’s win, Mourinho said only of Alli’s exclusion from the squad that he had “too many players” in certain positions.
Asked afterwards whether Alli had a future at Tottenham, the manager responded positively, saying: “Yes, of course.”
But when pressed on whether he wants to keep him, the Portuguese coach was a little more vague.
“I want a balanced squad – that’s what I want,” he said. “He doesn’t need to be sacrificed for that but a squad is a puzzle.”
Stay and fight or on the move – what next for Alli?
Alli has played just 45 minutes of football so far this season
Despite missing the past two games for Tottenham, Alli is set to earn a recall for their next game – the Carabao Cup third-round trip to Leyton Orient.
“He will play on Tuesday,” added Mourinho. “He’s fresh. He has to be motivated by being out of the squad for a couple of matches.
“Tuesday is a knockout game and it’s a big opportunity for him to show how good he is because we know he is very good.”

His new status – having to prove himself against League Two opponents – is a fall from grace for a player who at one stage was among the first names on the teamsheet for club and country but who is now out of favour for both.
Mourinho hinted on Sunday that players might need to leave in order for him to trim the size of his squad, and in addition to PSG’s interest in Alli, Real Madrid are also reportedly keeping an eye on the situation.
“We have a huge squad, a squad with numbers that are very difficult to manage,” Mourinho said. “I never had it, I don’t like to have it and it’s not easy for me.
“I start with Son [Heung-min], with Lucas [Moura] and with Harry Kane and on the bench I still have Moussa Sissoko, Erik Lamela and Steven Bergwijn.
“We have too many players for some positions and some of them are paying the price for this.”
From certain starter to out of the team
Mourinho had previously spoken of his determination to get Alli back to his best
After joining Tottenham from MK Dons in 2015 Alli developed into one of Europe’s most prized attackers under former boss Mauricio Pochettino.
He reached double figures for goals in his first two seasons as the club and it is less than three years since he scored twice in a famous Tottenham win against Real Madrid in the Champions League
But by the time of Mourinho’s arrival in November last year his form had already started to falter as he struggled with injury and poor performances.

Initially, Mourinho seemed determined to help Alli get back to his best, saying he wanted to bring “the real Dele back”, and named him in his starting XI in his first 11 games in charge.
But in the recent Amazon documentary ‘All or Nothing: Tottenham’, there are hints Mourinho has found that task difficult, and Alli finished last season on the bench in successive Premier League games.
In one episode of the documentary, he describes Alli as a “lazy guy” in training, and later tells the club’s chairman Daniel Levy that “we need to find motivation” for the England international.
In another episode, Mourinho calls Alli to his office and challenges the midfielder to realise his potential, telling him: “One day I think you will regret it if you don’t reach what you can reach.”
Mourinho’s decision to exclude Alli from his recent squads might be one last effort to motivate the player – or a sign he has lost patience with him.

Mourinho had previously spoken of his determination to get Alli back to his best
After joining Tottenham from MK Dons in 2015 Alli developed into one of Europe’s most prized attackers under former boss Mauricio Pochettino.
