You guys dont get how fucking happy i was when I saw Tyler on Supernatural.

Out of everything, Less Than Kind is probably in the top 5 list of my favorite tv shows.

And to see good ole Danny Lubbe on Spn put the biggest smile on my face.

X-Men Verse

In a world where people with fantastic abilities and mutations are stepping forth, heralded as the next step in human evolution, Danny is a painfully unremarkable troublemaker. Or so he believes. Unknown to pretty much anyone, Daniel Lubbe has in fact been an empath since he was a young child.

He’s spent years struggling to process emotions, completely unaware that most of them weren’t even his and has developed a bit of a contrary personality to try (and fail) to cope with the clash between himself and what he’s unknowingly absorbed from the people around him.

Powers: empath + healer (dormant)

Key Points: -

Age: 17-19+

Given the number of years he’s had theses abilities with no knowledge and no ability to try and gain control/understanding as he’s developed and matured, Danny has a lot of emotional issues - unable to get a clear handle on them and frequently struggling to discern how he should feel in certain situations

Danny has mostly-dormant healing abilities - never broken a bone, never really been sick - which may or may not be able to be used to help other people.should he ever become aware of it and be able to train with it.

Danny will naturally gravitate towards people who confuse him the least (emotionally)

Danny enjoys getting drunk because it drowns out everything that isn’t him.

That First Step

Danny knew everyone thought of him as the ‘quirky’ twin and his brother, Alfie, was the golden boy, all lined up for a good future and even already having a job. Sure it was a shitty fast food service job at the local Weiner Hut but it was more than Danny had. He was usually in some form of trouble and causing stress and the only person he ever listened to was his brother. Nobody was the greatest fan of Danny. So when Alfie went missing, nobody was saying it but Danny knew everybody was thinking it: It should have been Danny.

The loss of Alfie messed with everyone and Danny’s temperament became a lot more explosive, much like most people’s attitude to him. Stories over what happened flew around everywhere: he was kidnapped, he was trafficked out the country as a sex slave, he had run away with a girl he’d got pregnant. Each one just made Danny more furious and determined to find out what really happened.

It wasn’t until he got attacked, not by anyone he knew particularly well, that he actually tried to do something; he’d seen them around town and maybe they were friends of Alfie’s, who knew? One of them kept telling him he was special, that there was more to him and just sounded like those counsellors the school had tried to get him to talk to. What they were saying and how they were saying it set off alarm bells in his head. Everybody knew Danny was nothing special. He was the five year old who never grew up (thanks for saying that dad).

When one of them grabbed at his arm, Danny swung the first thing he grabbed at their head and beat them off. It didn’t take much because after he’d hit them two, maybe three times, black smoke blasted out their mouths and disappeared to who the hell knew where.

Nobody believed him about the smoke and it took him a while but eventually Danny found stories of demons. Studying had never been his strong point so it wasn’t until after the charges of assault were dropped, mostly thanks to the appeal of him acting in self-defence, thate he found enough about demons to be near certain that those were what he’d encountered. There was no clues as to why they’d come after him, but there was enough to suggest that they probably weren’t done with him.

It was another six months before they came after him again. Maybe they were the same ones, maybe they weren’t, but this time he was prepared. He tried to trap them and teach them that you don’t fuck with Danny Lubbe, and he definitely caused more damage. Even so, they managed to smoke out again and stood over the beaten bodies of the people they’d possessed, it didn’t take a genius to see that this time, he wouldn’t be so lucky with the locals as last time.

Everybody knew Alfie disappearing had really fucked with Danny and they were waiting for him to just crack. This time, he’d end up in jail, or the nut house, or something, and there was no way Danny was willing to give them the satisfaction. Fuck his parents, Alfie was out there somewhere and these things would probably come after him again. He took every bit of money he could get his hands on and skipped town before the sun went down that same day.

Part of him thinks these smokey bastards have something to do with what happened to his brother and he’s travelling the country, doing his best learn more so he can better arm himself for the next attack.

So I'm in the middle of watching season 2 of Less Than Kind now (yep I started watching ANOTHER new show), and omg I freaking love Danny Lubbe. He is bat shit crazy and just completely awesome.
