@mrmissmrsrandom: What inspired the religion world building and a deeper dive into the stories surrounding it? Much of Jugdral religion is my own interpretations of Hinduism distilled with a sense of Greek mythology, and sporadic Mesoamerican (mostly Nahua) tints here and there. Silesia is where it gets very Hindu, the Loptians is very hard Mesoamerica, while Thracia/Lenster is very Mexicanized since I interpret them sharing a Spain/Mexico dynamic.  As to why? Well because actual religion in media is always so barebones and frankly boring. It’s just another flavor of whatever have you, and that’s assuming the religion is treated right. How many times in media is Not!Islam treated with any level of care? Actually in any fictional media, how many times is the Christian analogous religion treated as the baseline while all the other religions are scary and weird? That’s lowkey racist you know.  (Puts on fedora) I’m also was just tired in general of Christian imagery in media in general. Nothing is inherently wrong with that, but like GIVE ME SOMETHING NEW.  Also for what it’s worth whenever I see any veneration of a Holy Mother, I don’t see Marianism, I see Itzel. I see Coatlicue, Tonantzin, or Chalchiuitlicue.

I finished Alfyn's Chapter 2, and all I'm going say is that Alfyn is what the medicine should be. I don't expect all medication to be free, but I should expect that human life is intrinsically worth preserving and as such it is should not be FINANCIALLY UNREASONABLE to acquire medication to keep living.

Concept for fantasy novel, modern day young adult finds out they're a direct descendant of Aeneas and the Greek/Romans Gods wish for them to get a job and become Preident of whatever ushering a new glorious world-dominating Empire that totally won't collaspe.
But said young adult ALSO is a direct descendant of Moctezuma and the Aztec Gods want them to become President of whatever to bring about the Universe's reset.
Listen all I want is Ares and Huitzlopochli to duke it out, Xochiphili and Dionysus to get real high and maybe get it on, and maybe Hades & Mictlantecuhtli complaining about how their job of governing the dead is vastly underrated.

Three Houses looks terrible, story premise (or lack of) is concerning, setting and gameplay are snooze to me, and Nintendo doesn't seem to be giving this game much in terms of HYPE.
And I'm still buying this game. I really want to be proven wrong.

I finished Ophilia's Chapter 2. It's super sweet. Literally everything Ophilia does is represenative of how a fictional religious person should be. It's a core part of their character, it directly influences their actions, but it's not overt and it's on a level of relatability that anyone can connect to regardless of one's personal feeling of religion.

If Heracles means "Glory Of Hera" why isn't the Roman version called Junocles, "Glory Of Juno?"

The Ancient Aztec civilization.
By ancient you mean it only lasted 97 years. The entire Aztec Empire lasted less than a century when the Spanish arrived.
If you're talking about then everyone who fits under the term "Aztec," as in the people who speak the Nahuatl language and partake in Nahua culture then really they're only about 500 years at most.
Also again technicalities, but the Aztecs wouldn't have called themselves "Aztec". They would have called themselves Nahuatlacah (Nahuatl speaking people or more literally "People With Clear Speech). Or they would have called themselves in affliation to their alteptl (city state). This becomes important because who actually ran the Aztec Empire? The Nahua tribe, the Mexica. That's why the country is called Mexico.
So this becomes confusing if you need to differentiate between the Pre-Colombian Mexicans and Modern Mexicans. So Aztec was used because its just easier. Using the legendary ancestral homeland of all the Nahua people without having to specify city state or even necessarily a point in time is convenient.

This latest Cipher cards disturbs me. In addition to Lachesis, Clarine, and Priscilla, they also included Mist and Olwen. Is this subtle hint?
Because honestly the amount of people who think Olwen has a thing for Reinhardt has increased way too much since they launched in Heroes.

And on the subject of conspiracy theorists. The Mayans did not predict the world would end in December 21st, 2012.
The date corresponds to the beginning of the 13th Bak'tun in the Mayan Calendar. The Mayans did believe the last creation was thirteen bak'tuns. The Mayans much like their other Mesoamerican neighbours and predecessors believed that there were 4 previous creations and we are currently living in the 5th creation. But they said nothing about how long this creation would have lasted.
In fact the Maya were calculating for the movement of the Moon way up to 17 bak'tuns, or roughly the year 3589 in our calendar.
Had the Maya civilization lasted this far, it probably would have been analogous to how we celebrated the year 2000. Some people would have been paranoid af. But probably they would have made sacrifices to the gods and such, but definitely lots of partying.

DO NOT REBLOG
People will go on and on about Tharja or Faye as not being bad as they actually are. Listen.
Tharja is a distant, shy girl who helps people out. Whenether it's Lon'qu or Nowi, or anyone else. And she's stalker, and probably worse.
Faye is an overal nice girl who loves her friends and wants them to be with them all back home. And is a stalker and emotionally guilts Alm to come back home with her.
I don't understand why the idea of being X while also being outwardly "good" in most contexts is contradictory. Look at literally any celebrity. X is abusive, assaulter, liar, hypocrite, cheater, or whatever worse.
They always have their supporters, some of them genuinely unable to reconcile how the person they "know" can do something so vile.
We do a diservice to ourselves by imagining these people are always "bad" all the time. This inability to recognize that bad people who act good most of the time is what is contributing to these people getting away with their crimes.
